Men need to start being more vocal about how women make situations uncomfortable by projecting sexuality when it’s not there. Men need to say “hey I wasn’t staring at you and you’re making me very uncomfortable by confronting me about something I didn’t do.”

As mentioned, it is actually creepy that women are filming strangers in the gym.

unwarranted staring can probably get very annoying - idk if creepy is the right word, but def annoying. As for these gym vids, we flat out don’t know if the guy only glanced once or has been glancing constantly, over and over again. Just cause the video shows the guy glancing once, doesn’t mean she overreacted to a single glance.

With that out of the way, unwanted sexual advances, long stares and overstepping boundaries can all be considered creepy.

For people who are really struggling with this concept, I’ll explain it even better. My prescription to you is to trade in pennies. If you see an attractive woman at a bar, and you ask her to dance, and she says no, it’s a clue to fuck off. Don’t ask her whether she wants to fuck you or go on a day. She is unwilling to give you 3 minutes of her time, what in the world gives you a reason to assume she will give you a few hours? This would be the same as if some random sketchy dildo came up to you and said “hey man, do you mind giving me $10,000?” It’s socially awkward to ask strangers for sex, money or for more than 5 minutes of their time.

The inherent interaction between a man and a woman will always be creepy to some degree when looking at the man's side of things. Men are physically larger, stronger, usually have more societal, financial, etc pull.

In terms of pure animal-brain, the ultimate goal of the interactions is to have sex (and maybe a relationship), and everything in between seeing the woman for the first time to having sex with her is just noise needed to get to the end point. As we've become more civilised, we've introduced more and more noise so that we don't act like animals as much - but it's always there.

Creepiness is the men that are unable to participate in the "noise" as well as other men can, or don't participate in it at all. Hence, it's creepy to just go up to a woman and talk about thinking she's hot etc, vs the guy that pretends he bumped into her, asks an innocent question, oh hey btw you training here? Yeah cool...etc.

I don't think these guys in the recent gym vids are creepy really. Yeah sure if you put a microscope on them from start to finish when he's looking at her and building himself up, it looks creepy, but F that. He participated in the noise like he should have, they built up the courage, went over, tried to pretend it was an accident to form some kind of icebreaker, didn't work, so he said OK thanks and dipped. Not creepy IMO.

Instead, this is entitled zoomer women acting like they are Cleopatra Empresses walking amongst filthy commoners that how dare they look at me or even be near me. To be honest? It's not most women, and these women are doing it for content, they may not even be like this really when the cameras are off.

Even men you look at and think are ugly losers score because their charisma or w/e carries them through the noise when they do it right.

Been going into weight rooms and gyms for like 20 years now. 90 percent of dudes(and ladies) are so focused on what they are doing, or trying to do that they don’t give off a creep vibe, let alone notice anyone in the gym outside of maybe training partners. Been to places where I’ve nodded as I past by people for years and never got their names.

On the other side there are always that 1 out of ten dudes that’s fucking around, trying to both get everyone to notice them and get up in peoples personal space. They also have a tendency to never re-rack their weights, wipe down any equipment after they have used it, and are usually drinking a Monster/rockstar/bang energy drink. It’s really easy to NOT be that d-bag. Go in the gym. Stay focused on what you are in there to do and stop looking around with your eyes and your tongue out. And if she needs help, has a question, or wants you to approach- she will let YOU know.

I've been called creepy for eating ice cream from a cone in public. I've been called.creepy for walking my dog in a public park. I've been called creepy for reaching around a very rude woman who was blocking the apples at the grocery store for 10 minutes on the phone. It means there is something about you that is potentially threatening. It can either be what you said or how you said it that can be perceived as a potential threat. Or the other unfortunate reason is that it’s simply the way you look. Because less attractive people are often associated with being a higher threat. I’ve read before that historically physically unattractive people were viewed as being more likely to be carrying disease. Though I’m not sure the validity of that claim. Anyways, someone’s less attractive looks can be compensated with knowing what and how to say things. But unfortunately the socially awkward are also commonly the less physically attractive people.

Edit: Have people describe a stereotypical sex offender of any type whether it be a pedo, rapist, etc and my guess is that things like being ugly and socially awkward will be in many people’s descriptions. So physically unattractive and socially awkward people in general will be more easily characterized as something similar to those horrible types of people even if they’re completely innocent.

Creepy is gawking at you obviously in public (especially if you’re 20+ year older and it usually is older men who behave like weirdos because they think they’re untouchable). It’s not taking no for an answer and whining and wheedling on how you should talk to them and then they pout obviously and openly like a child if you are not interested. Some men -change- the moment they feel you aren’t giving them the attention they need,it can get weird and for a lot of women,scary. Also a lot of men have a “get right in your face,start questioning you relentlessly and aggressively” style of flirting that I find personally cringe and uncomfortable.

Also a lot of guys don’t understand or don’t want to understand soft rejection/when the woman isn’t interested so they take it is far as they can.

That said the whole tiktok bullshit of “he’s a pervert because he stood 30 feet away from me at the gym” is also wrong and hysterical.

There are certain places you just don't bother women, one of them is at the gym. Another is when a woman is wearing headphones at the gym or anywhere else, on public transit or walking on the street for example. If you do these things you are creepy. Creepy means aggressive, or initiating conversation when clearly none is wanted. Creepy means continuing to try to talk to someone when they clearly don't want to speak to you. Creepy means not being able to read social cues to tell that a woman does not want to talk to you. Creepy is STARING at a woman. I mean clearly certain people's parents do not teach them that staring is rude, but also creepy. Now that I think of it creepy guys tend to almost universally be those that cannot properly read social cues and lack in social skills.

Mostly the men in these videos are not creepy. If anything is creepy in these videos it is the selfish influencer filming them without their consent.

IMO creepy is either being threatening or not respecting people’s boundaries, such as filming people without their consent in situations they could reasonably expect not to be filmed.

To avoid being creepy, don’t invade other people’s personal space, don’t film people at the gym, don’t ignore it when somebody tries to set a boundary with you, don’t follow strangers around especially at night.

There isn't any point in worrying about being creepy or being rejected. Go for what you want, if interest isn't reciprocated then move on. Be "open", make eye contact and smile. Think of women as weights. Your goal is try to "lift" them, and failure is a good thing since you will come back stronger the next day. "In your league" out of your league, whatever. If she chooses someone else thats "better" or she sees you as beneath her then let it be. Take what you can and improve from each experience.
