I just wanted to say sorry for all the inconveniences and heart break I might have caused being around here talking. I know not everything I said was bad but I do remember times in which I got really frustrated and possibly ended up saying hurtful things.

Now, that I said that, I want to finalize what made me so frustrated. It was my issues with getting a relationship. Not feeling attractive enough. Observing how the given dating advices usually doesn't seem to work. Observing how people seem to follow trends and mind games to find a partner, but not seeing that exactly those wild mind games and crazy rules might drive the person you are looking for away. This goes both for men and women.

Personally I realized that the dating advices don't work. They all don't work. The theories don't work. Since I am a male I can only speak for the other (frustrated) males. If she likes you, she will like you, things will work out, you need to believe.

Meanwhile it should be known that I am rather religious. In my religion Allah says that whomever doesn't have the means to marry should be patient until Allah gives from His infnite treasure, so to say. I didn't realize it but I really had to believe this to solve my issues, my frustrations.

The questions that arise are "what if I never get to marry, despite being patient?", this is a very valid worry since we can observe that a lot of people die before finding a partner. It truly happens. Let's look at it from the other side, especially if you are religious, if you wait you will also stay away from cheating, hopefully casual sex and hookups thus this is a win for your afterlife, you don't truly need to worry that you will be held accountable for having sex outside of marriage. Let's keep this thought spinning, simply believe Allah will surely grant you a wife (again, I am a male I can only speak for the male perspective. As far as I am aware the verses aren't really gendered, so these verses I am talking of can simply be applicable to both men and women. I am also no scholar or very knowledgable person, I am just someone who learns and tries to find his way). Imagine you fully believe you will get a wife, if you are being patient, now, wouldn't that be motivation enough to become the best self anyways? Not because you want to attract some random woman, but because you want to attract and pleasure your wife the best way it is possible for you? Isn't this reason enough to improve oneself? I think it is. It kinda works on me, I can feel the fire lighting up in me, the engine is slowly beginning to spin and work again. It will take some time until I am warm enough to work on my best perfomance but I will be there, I believe!

This is my takeaway from my journey on reddit, FA subs and this sub. I want to thank everyone who contributed, it were a lot of people, a lot of amazing interesting people!

Also, I really dislike the "gender wars" on here. I want to make a positive contribution, I hope it works. From my male perspective, women always fascinated me. Women are truly amazing and I was lucky enough to be surrounded with incredibly strong and faithful women. Be it my ancestors, relatives or the friends of my mom, they are all incredibly strong women. I also met another woman in university, she wasn't very much religious but it amazed me how strong she is as well. I truly admire these women and honestly we men need such women.

Of course there are also bad women. As men we shouldn't take the good women and treat them as the bad ones. We should cherish and cheer on the good ones.

To the men on here, you guys are awesome too! But guys, why not stick to one woman? Why not pray to have a loyal loving woman? A woman you love and her loving you back. Why waste time on theories to optimize the amount of woman you can sleep with in your lifetime instead of working on finding that one woman who will be your soulmate? The soulmate whom you love and cherish? The soulmate who maybe, if you both want to, might give you kids? Raising potentially a family together? Why ruin women by hooking up with them and leaving them the next day? We men should protect women not use and ruin them!!! We men should protect women not make them feel bad because we like to see supermodels on ads and public roads!!! Honestly, some of us men care way too less about our women!!! Of course there are also thankfully a lot of great men! There are also cases in which the woman might ruin the man with mind games.

I wish and hope that these "gender wars" will cease to exist and the genders will be united once again. Right now, the direction we are heading at doesn't look good. We both, men and women are at fault. Though from my male perspective, mostly us men are at fault for promoting hookups and casual sex so much. We promoted it because we mostly did that. Now that women do it too we complain.

I could keep on writing but I notice my sentences are unstructured and I am just speaking like it comes to my mind.

I wish you men and women all the best and I wish for our species that we can manage to get along fine again. It can work if we finally stop throwing insults at each other, if we finally stop digging up the past over and over again. I think we men should do the first step in this! We should forgive and hopefully we will get the lost love, attention and affection back from women which we missed so much and keep on complaining that women don't give that to us anymore.

This is all very sad.

I guess it was somewhat similar here, in Russia a few generations ago. Now it's better at least in terms of accessible abortions and contraception. And child supports that lots of men still don't pay, but at least some do and some are forced to do. Plus, we have a slim share of single fathers.

Hi! I have a (little weird) question if that is ok. Has it ever happened to you to fall in love with someone that died a long time ago (you never met them, it was decades or centuries ago), for example because you read about them or someone told you things about them and you got to really admire them? It doesn't have to be a historical figure, just some random person.

Now, if the answer is yes, I have another question. Let's imagine that ghosts are real and you find out that said person actually continues to exist as a ghost. Would you search for them and try to pursue a relationship with them? Would you marry the ghost if that was legal?

If your answer is yes two the last question, would it change if the ghost could not leave the place it haunts? Let's say that the rules of the universe require ghosts to stay where the person died or is buried, so he/she lives in a haunted house and will never be able to join you in your activities. Would you still try for a relationship with the ghost? Would your love for the ghost fade or it will continue in your heart for a long time as you painfully decide to leave the ghost alone in the place that he/she needs to haunt for eternity?

If we decide to have a kid, I'd look for a hospital/doctor that will agree to plan a caesarian. I'm not giving birth the traditional way, just no. I know that caesarians have their own side-effects and complications, but at least you can actually plan the date and you'll avoid contraptions and tearing. And lower risks for incontinence issues later on.

I think I have a concussion. It's not very fun. I'm gonna give it another two weeks and get through final exams and then if I still have symptoms get it checked out. Not that they'll be able to do anything but tell me to rest.

So dumb. 5 years of mma training, multiple fights both sanctioned and street and I've never had a concussion but I get one from falling down and smacking my face on the ground. Guess it's no striking training for at least a month after the symptoms hopefully abate

I think a combination of assortative mating and small age difference (with men being older) still keep a certain income advantage for men within families/relationships, but only up to a certain point.

for the past 10 years I have usually had a higher income than my wife because, even though we graduated from the same university, I am two years older and was one step up on the career path due to starting earlier.

I think the biggest disservice women (especially feminists) do to other women is when they tell them past sexual history doesn't matter, and tell them that stuff like purity is an outdated concept or virginity is a social construct. That doesn't help anyone, it's wishful thinking. You're setting them up to make it harder for men to commit to them. Men care about this stuff. The overwhelming majority will say they don't because saying you do basically gets you labelled as a sexist, but men do care. Even if it's subconscious, like a gut feeling, men notice something is off and will think twice about proposing. It's why the same guy may wait years and never propose to one girl but instantly propose to another one after one year. Men have a gut feeling over what's marriage material and what's not, even when we can't articulate it properly, the gut feeling is there. Women have women's intuition, but men also have men's intuition and gut feeling over certain things.

A few years ago, an elderly woman Christian blogger made an article "Men prefer debt-free virgins without tattoos", and feminists started seething about it. This wasn't some MRA or MGTOW or incel seething at women or trying to spread hate of women. It was an old woman trying to give women advice on how to get married and find a husband, she was trying to help them by offering advice, and it just provoked fury and outrage instead.

You know what I don't understand?

The relative moral outrage between genocide and torture.

I mean we all die one day. Killing one or many people isn't thaaat bad. Sure it's fucked up and wrong but isn't torture like way way worse?

I think 100 people's lives are comparable to 8 hrs of professional torture. Like the stuff they do in middle East or pakistan.

"Advanced interrogation" in the bay comes next. Police brutality in India, mental torture in toxic relationships all lie on the spectrum and sure murder is worse than most mild forms of torture.

But I think on the whole most people way too sensitive towards murder as compared to torture. We all gonna die one day people, it's not like we are going to accomplish something that great in the next 40 years on earth.

Like the last post just before mine. I don’t understand why men get so upset at what women say and why the world is the way it is etc. Just accept it play the game. If that means saying one thing and doing another then so be it. I went against my instincts and pretty much promised a woman a chance at a relationship yesterday. I’m going to continue gaming other women if I get the chance but I will also have backup(s) lol. In fact I got another number and date on my way to see her.
