This is one of the many consequences of the fact that "American culture" is actually two or more completely distinct cultures that are being artificially forced together by the federal government, like a little girl making her dolls kiss.

You have half the country that wants to be more puritan, and the other half wants to be more sexually liberated, and together they create this abomination of degeneracy and shame at the same time.

See, this is why I looked myself in the mirror one day and said, "I'll never have sex again." And I repeat that every day. I have no idea. It’s absolutely strange in a sense because it’s a I want to eat my cake and have it too moment. How are you not gonna be sexualized by how you post, dress and act? How is one not supposed to be judged by their past actions? All of these things leads to confusion as how is a dude not gonna do these things. Now let’s be real here as well. The men in the society have a skewed perspective on women and sex. The amount of dudes who basically have zero social understanding is just terrible. Also they entered in a dating market where metoo and the fight against cat calling became big. This lead to a bunch of dudes becoming terrified by seeing the small amount being false accused, the men destroyed in marriages, and overall a bunch of hate and judgment thrown men’s way by how they act and approach women. Resulting in men opting out of the traditional approach out of fear.

It’s strange as more of these dysfunctional men that are complained by are usually from broken homes and single mother households. So blame honestly comes from multiple sources. Yet most people don’t even want to be responsible of their part. The lack of accountability is what’s really hurting everyone here. No one is going to accept if they have to settle or lower their standards as many have weak egos and inflated pride in modern day. This honestly will lead to failure as what either sex are doing is not gonna be what’s best for families and in turn communities.

There is no contradiction, at least not on the surface level, one must distinguish between two separate trends. Modern culture has to a large extend decoupled sex from relationships. The culture is hyper-sexualized, but romantically sanctimoniously puritan. Simultaneously sex - like all things in late-stage capitalism - has become increasingly commodified, monetized, and performative. Thus the hyper-sexualization increasingly takes place in a non-physical space - online in porn or OnlyFans, in movies, television, advertising, video games, social media, etc. But less so between actual men & women of flesh and blood - except for where it can be monetized, such as SugarBabies and other forms of whoring where there is a direct exchange of money.

Men are becoming more sexless because relationships are being postponed (sanctimoniously puritan). Marriage was always been the primary vagina conduit for men. Quick aside, I thought the title of this post was really great and I expected some great content on this post, not another rant about women not having sex with men.

I see so often age gap talked about. Let teenagers be teenagers. You should be able to find someone your own age and if you can’t you should ask yourself why.

Besides that, I don’t think there’s any shame on the other things you mentioned. If I remember correctly, statistically there’s a good number of people who meet their future wife/husband at work. In regards to approaching women when they are out, I don’t think there is shame around that. I think men have anxiety about doing it because of possibly the friend group being judgy. I think a lot of men have anxiety about cold approaching as well.

I do agree that there is a huge contradiction going on. People are more confused than ever before.

But I do also agree with them saying that older people shouldn't take advantage of younger ones. Why be so immature that you can't date someone your own age range or are so controlling that you need a younger person to wrap around your fingers since they're so immature?

Many of these problems, and more, can be fixed if we raise the legal age. More people would wake up then. So many young women are preyed upon by older men or open an OF account the moment they turn 18. Raising that age by even 2 or 3 years can make a huge difference in their world.

Unfortunately sex is politicized currently. What politics has never been able to do is curtail human behavior. Obviously at a macro level and I'd argue currently at a micro level. I'm a Christian and I am currently engaged to a wonderful woman and we haven't had sex. 10 months strong! We don't concern our personal life with opinions of strangers and neither should anyone else. I do believe that my value system works best, and studies back that up, but people in most places are free to make their own choices. Why concern yourself with this issue and just let it play out. Someone being sexually liberated, having an onlyfans, dressing scandalously don't equal someone giving sexual access to you. Meaning if you are sexualizing them you should do so in your head, and in a non apparent way so as to not implicate them in your fantasies without consent. It has just about always been an argument about the constraints of consent and the consequences of people having different perspectives towards consent.

Objectification isn't just sexualizing. It's both sexualizing and dehumanizing, as in not considering someone you have sexualized as having feelings, views, and their own personhood equal to yours.
