Well, I was more addressing how Poppy went to my motives immediately.

As for women admitting that the idea of men being penetrated is icky to them, at least with respect to their man, there are various consequences. For one, you have to factor in that especially on the internet there has been a gender war with each side trying to show how immoral the sexuality and nature of the other gender is. And I think women are a lot more sensitive to this.

So admitting any potentially unflattering aspect of their sexuality feels like it just feeds the other side and will hurt women's position in some way. You see the impact of this gender war based on moralizing all the time. The classic one is women bending over backwards to present some aspect of male and female sexuality in terms of some construct of symmetry that isn't really useful. But it's useful to preempt any moralizing.

Things like: "Men and women want different things in their partners, but they each try to get the best that they can." That is fine as far as it goes, but as an overall summation and lens to view sexual strategies through, it obscures far more than it illuminates.

All gay people want is the ability to love and have sex with the gender they like the same as straight people do. I don't see why we have to single out homosexual acts as ones we don't talk about with workmates, sexual acts as a whole shouldn't be talked about. On the other hand with friends, you generally talk about sexual acts, and if you can't talk about your homosexual ones because they make your friends too uncomfortable, are they really even your friend?

normalizing gayness into an all or nothing proposition

All or nothing is an exaggeration. Something is either normalized or it's not; it's a binary distinction. Sure it can be, like you mentioned, measured on a scale, but then anything short of 100% suggests it's not normalized. While you'd suggest that something is better than nothing, I think most people who hold onto homophobic beliefs come from tradcon/religious views that, more often than not, hold no place in modern society. Thus, 100% normalization is something we should be working for and not stopping until it's done. Labelling people who'd eagerly discriminate against gay people as homophobia helps stomp out those views. Maybe not genuinely, but enough to let gay people do as they'd like.

It's one thing to say no Gay nightclubs, or you can't do Gay PDA in public. It's another to imprison gay people or try to find out who is gay and then not hire them, etc.

Do you think the former can be possible without using a lack of humanity to get it though? If we say no that stuff, how will it be employed? Do you just get a slap on the wrist for going to gay nightclubs or participating in gay PDA, and so no real "harm" is done? Because then it wouldn't be much of a deterrent and people would do it regardless.

This would lead to punishments of a greater magnitude, and potentially dip into full-on restricting gay people from loving as they do, in order to reduce homosexual activities. Of course, I'm falling into the slippery slope fallacy here, but it's why for this cause, I believe it must be wholeheartedly supported to not be incompassionate towards gay people. I feel that anything less than 100% leads to discrimination.

I'm also fairly libertarian in a lot of my social views, so I don't think I could ever support a government/society that was trying to impose restrictions on one's ability to love as they'd like and partake in homosexual activities.

I don't really think libertarianism works well. I think healthy cultures usually have to provide guidance to the typical masses, and in order to do so, they usually have to hinder the lives of the exceptional to some degree. This dynamic happens along many dimensions.

Now personally, I don't know if homosexuality would be one of those dimensions where you need to suppress it or not. I'm just saying it's a legitimate possibility. And getting the balance between guiding the masses and not cruelly hindering the lives of the atypical is a critical element in a healthy culture.

And yes, that could mean that even if you have a good balance overall, some of the atypical are going to flout the restrictions. To keep the balance, the lives of the most flagrant and repeat atypical offenders may indeed have to be sacrificed. Ideally, you try hard to avoid that. You try to have reasonable limits on the atypical and reasonable penalties. But if some people keep pushing those limits over and over, then eventually their lives do get destroyed.

This could be about restrictions on all forms of sexuality, about gender roles, about homosexuality, or whatever. In terms of homosexuality, not having gay nightclubs and not doing PDA in public seems like pretty minor restrictions. A gay person should still be able to have a fulfilling life and abide by them. One would hope that given the limits were reasonable, the atypical communities would help police themselves a bit. Punishments wouldn't need to be that strong because there would be an understanding that if this led to flouting all the limits, punishments would have to be increased to preserver the balance.

They complain about gold diggers, while demonizing career women, while pushing the "50/50" scam on working women who also take care of children and home, while demanding to be seen as the head of the household.

All while being led with their dicks. It begins and continues with appearance which is why loyal men are considered a marvel

So now less women want to be amongst the poor dummies who "empathized" with LVM into middle age before being told sex with younger, hotter women is a "need".

Aside from the small group of high quality men, lol these people don't care.

Even after moments of dark depression or horrifying health scares, where good women nurse, financially support and fuck them back to health, men will risk it all for the hottest they can get.

It is what it is which is why they aren't taken as seriously as mates unless they demonstrate some kind of personal power in other ways like material success. Bc at least when that male nature kicks in, you're not left empty handed where "empathy and potential" and the best years of your life used to be.

They call it cold but it's just common sense. Who can work with this selfish mess of a people otherwise

I dated a smoker for 3 years, from age 23 to age 26. It was the only guy I've ever cheated on. I never dated a smoker again. The guy I dated immediately after him I actually got him into blue collar work (I knew someone), but I wouldn't have even dated him if he had been a smoker to begin with.

I rationalized with the ex I dated for three years that it wasn't a big deal when we met because I found him attractive and he was sweet in the beginning.

You say that it didn't matter that you smoked but I note that you're not with either woman anymore. Statistically, nonsmokers married to smokers have a divorce rate that is 76-95% higher. Why is it relevant that I “wouldn’t be able to enjoy a first world existence” without them when it’s their job? Same thing can be said of doctors but I don’t feel a carnal appreciation for them because they’re doing their jobs.

These men aren’t volunteering. They’re being paid like everyone else to provide a service that’s been deemed essential so on that front it doesn’t make a difference. All the appreciation and credit they need for contributing to society should be reflected in their pay, in some sectors it is, and in others it isn’t.

As for looking down on them, it’s less human to human and more as partners. I don’t feel much towards the average plumber/electrician, but I do feel like socially dating them would be a step down in comparison to my peers and future colleagues (IB/P.E/Consulting guys).

So it’s not that I individually think I am better than them because I am not comparing myself to them, but that the men around me are better than them because that’s who I am comparing them to.

My parents and aunt take care of my grandmother. These living arrangements are in place due to some health issues where my grandmother fell down in her own house and once dislocated her shoulder. The problem is that long term, these living arrangements have put some strain on my parents and aunt because my grandmother is not the easiest person to live with long term.

Another thing to consider is how many people are you willing to take care of. There may be a scenario where both your parents and your husband's parents live long and you may have to live together with 4 extra persons under one roof.

Unfortunately, the same (not easy to live with) can be said about my mother. In their old age, I am willing to help my parents with everything and willing to rent them an apartment near us, but I am not sure I can live with them under the same roof for long periods of time. Some time ago, I had a discussion about this with them and they said they don't want to be a burden to me and my wife and (if need be) to find them a good nursing/retirement home.

Yes, I get that it depends greatly on your relationships, their character and health (especially mental). I think it's rather unfortunate that a lot of people here believe that you should live with your parents and provide them with full care even when they clearly need more than you can possibly give or even when they're becoming dangerous to live with.

I'm not sure how couples with two full sets of parents manage taking care of everyone, especially if they have kids themselves. I have only my mother, so I'll have a far easier load in this regard. Even if my biological father needs help, I don't think I'll feel obliged to help him, he's never been there in the first place. My husband, from the other hand, has a full set, but he also has siblings, most likely his parents will be his older siblings' responsibility. Specifically his sister's while his brother and he will help financially.

For example, the Masai have a traditional diet that consists entirely of animal products, not a single plant or vegetable. They would go from birth to death never having eaten anything green. They were also some of the healthiest people on the planet.

The Japanese from Okinawa have a life expectancy among the highest in the world. Their diet consists of almost entirely plant based food.

Here we have two extremes, and yet both peoples have exception health and longevity compared to the average Westerner. So which one do we emulate? If we took one of the Japanese from Okinawa and fed them a Masai diet, do you think they would live as long? Would a Masai eating a primarily plant based diet be as healthy?

See the problem is we don't really understand the intricacies of diet. How fats and carbs interact, the effect gut bacteria play on the whole thing, how food promotes or inhibits disease, how genetic factors play into all this, etc... We're just scratching the surface of what is an exceptionally complex system.

Nothing about food is simple.

“If I Ruled the World” by Nas ft. Lauryn Hill was one of my favorite songs as a kid.

It wasn’t the only song of its kind, but it captured the “life is rough sometimes or a lot of the times but make due with what you got” spirit I really resonated with. It was the default modus operandi of the community I grew up in. The experiences Nas highlights in the song felt very familiar to me.

I can’t quite articulate it but the fact that he was so young and was able to capture the unfortunate aspects of the Black American experience, but also our collective aspirations, which honestly boiled down to “having a family and raising them stress free” made me feel strong feels then and now.

Plus the “black diamonds and pearls” and “I’d free all my sons” lines in the chorus really spoke to me.

The verses hit home too:

Strictly living longevity to the destiny I thought I'd never see, but reality struck

My brain always read that lyric as:

35k for a prisoner. 20k for a foster child. 15k minimum wage job lost. Loss of child's well-being due to going into foster plus woman's employability out of prison due cannot be qualified.

I'd sooner support foster care and penalization of the parents than I would enabling people to make bad decisions by giving them a way out of the consequences of their actions. We use jail to punish. No one says we are sending thieves to jail to save tax money. We send thieves to jail because we want them to suffer for what they have done.

So what you really care about is punishing women and children, not reducing wasted tax money.

If female pandering was so deleterious to national strength and prosperity, no one would adopt it

I didn't say it was deleterious to nationals strength and prosperity. I said it wasn't needed. Although , if I had to bet, I would say it is.

They adopt it because women make up the majority of voters and are an easily manipulated, homogenous group with great influence on the opposite gender. So politicians pander to them. It has nothing to do with national prosperity.

Likewise, universities and companies are private, profit driven enterprises that have no need to be concerned with anything but economics. They have no incentive to tie themselves to a losing and unprofitable strategy.

Its not fake news lol. People mysteriously dying coincidentally after getting the vaccine means that the common denominator is the vaccine. It's been confirmed that the vaccine causes clots among other conditions leading to death regardless of how much they want to downplay it being a fact.

Your first link just says "they can't prove the vaccine did it" so it's basically worthless as a source and the second source says "Tucker Carlson" in the link so I can guess the quality of it.

If someone dies in a car accident driving home from the clinic where he got vaccinated the vaccine certainly isn't to blame.

The numbers are unclear due to the fact that there has been a pretty clear effort to hide vaccine-related deaths while overstate COVID deaths. Hospitals have been putting down COVID as the cause of death for non-COVID related deaths. Pretending like the number is accurate for COVID but inaccurate for the vaccines is an indicator of which side you're already on. The only honest answer anyone can say is that they don't really know.

Like, basically, it's just not as sad if an unvaccinated person dies. It's the same principle behind a person dying while skydiving. They took their chances. Oh well 🤷‍♀️

It's mainly old/sick people dying due to stresses within the system. Elective surgeries pushed back, less testing, long wait times in ER admittance due to screening, etc...

deaths lag behind confirmed cases by a few weeks and it takes a while for the lockdown to go into efect. lockdowns might also coincide with the rise of cases and hospitalisations, as that's when they are imposed- so maybe that's why you see more deaths then, coincidentally. also not every lockdown is very efficient or well enforced.

You'll notice that for the states, death rates spiked right at the end of March, early April. If we compare that to lockdowns:

The second large 'death spike' does seem to correspond to a spike in infections (Dec 20/Jan 21), but not the first.

Wash your hands, wear a mask, and if you're older/at risk/work with at risk people get the vaccine. But things like mandatory vaccines, stories of mass deaths with morgues stacked to the ceiling, the threat to children and canceling of school vaccine passports, ect... it's all hysteria/bullshit.

But the fact of the matter is the traits that are universally attractive are tall, high status/wealth, and good looks. Sure being endowed down there is a plus too.

And the 6/6/6 is just a nice dumbed down way to put it. Does he have to be 6 feet? No, but he sure as hell has to be significantly taller or at least a good amount taller than her. Does he have to make six figures? No, he just has to make noticeably more than her to be considered a viable mate. And sure some women will settle, but the fact is the standards are still ridiculous. Jane still has an ocean of men that would be perfectly content with her. Joe, however, definitely does not. Using just height as an example metric (this is hypothetical. There are a multitude of traits that people select for, obviously), 6'3 sam would be God's gift to earth. Any and almost all women would be accessible. 5'10 Joe should have little issues. But women won't be throwing themselves at him as if he was 6'3. Now at 5'8, you're struggling. It's now exponentially harder to be as successful as the others. Wouldn't say doomed yet. The issue is that this dynamic is fine for women who are sexual selectors and fine for men who meet the standard in their youth, then the guys who don’t meet this standard need to be patient and not become bitter or jealous of the fact that they were not good enough in their youth but are now good enough to be settled on.

Idk, if I was those guys, which I guess I kind of am because I’m not over 6’, I would just dangle the idea of a relationship and being a good father in front of women, get into a relationship with them, have sex with them, then break up before we get married. Any other guys here that don't take it very seriously when it comes to a girl's "type"? I've seen multiple instances of guys getting girls who they definitely would have no chance with if the girl's words about her type are to be believed.

I've seen many times of people claiming that they wouldn't fuck a certain guy or that he's "not their type" but they continue flirting with him or in some cases they let him hit anyhow.

I also know one girl who talked shit about a coworker she fucked (She said his dick was small, he fucks like a virgin, etc.) he showed me that she's still texting him, asking him to come over, asking what he's doing, you know, basically all the signs she's down bad for him.

Hell, I've said before that my first kiss was with a girl who claimed she wasn't attracted to black dudes and that she would only give attention to men over 6'2 (I'm 5'8 and black)

I think men are conflating “him crying right now isn’t triggering sexy times for me” with “disgust for him forever.”

No. Men don't want sex at either point, whether they're feeling some type of way about something that happened or whether the woman in front of them said they have a low n-count. However, the outcome of the requests are similar - men become disgusted when the count is high and women become disgusted when men are showing their feelings in a weak way.

I’ve literally only seen this “turned off perennially” reaction when the guy is literally always “undone and falling apart.”

Can't say it's the same there because I don't think all guys are turned off by high n-counts, but yes, women can't handle guys who don't seem to be in control of things in their lives.

A lot of “non western” (since we’re using euphemisms here) men really don’t like the mirror that’s held up to them when they move to the west and try to date.

I don't know what you really mean but I have seen a lot of stories of mother's splashing water at their daughters boyfriends and tell them they can do better in front of his face. I have seen more women reject men in the most humiliating way and these things usually are the norm. In places like my country if you're not able to get a woman you know why and it's mostly women who will tell you the reason why. and I don't know many men that moved to the US but most of them seemed to marry and settle down pretty quickly, but I think it's because they married in the church so that may have affected the type of women they found and dated but if you would say newyork then yeah most men who I know who sent there (as well as CA) where shocked at how 'uncultured' people there were bit none seemed to lack in sexual adventures (maybe they were lying but most of them fit the "Tyrone" description trp describes but I suspect they attracted women with a black Africa man fetish expecting larger dick sizes)

When I finally figured out the female friends stuff, it tended to work best when we all understood that sex and sexual attraction are not that big a deal. Most of the guys would fuck the girls in the right conditions. And some of the girls might even have fucked some of the guys. But it did tend to be one-sided. You laugh about this stuff in the abstract every now and then to ensure everyone kinda knows. But you don't dwell on it or talk about the specifics.

What you really watch for is guys catching real feelings and girls abusing sexual interest (or worse, guys with feelings) to take advantage. I guess this was mid-20s when my social group had achieved this equilibrium. So nobody really worried about eye contact per se. But humans are sensitive to cues, including eye contact. So if a guy was sending a package of cues to a girl he was friends with that showed he had feelings that could not be reciprocated or was overly focusing on his sexual attraction, then that could become a thing.

By then, the girl in question might just adjust her contact pattern with him. See him less or not at all 1 on 1. Only in groups, etc. until things passed over.

Just mature awareness of the trouble spots of male-female friendships, and then taking subtle but needed actions, can stop a lot of the orbiting and friend zone shit.

I grew up in Rockford IL, which is generally in the top 10 worst/most dangerous places to live.

Growing up it was idyllic, but then Chicago shut down some of their worst public housing and gave the dispossessed tenants Section 8 housing vouchers for Rockford. The influx of gang shit/poor people plus the macro effects of the Rust Belt has transformed Rockford into a place you couldn't pay me to live in.

Which is a shame, because the East (affluent) side of Rockford is like your typical farwest Chicago suburb; some parts UMC/Apple store/Lexus dealership/McMansions, other parts Rural Midwest Real Americana™, but overall a nice family values-ish environment to live in. Its only when you cross the river to the west side (blight, decrepit abandoned factories, rock bottom property values, bitterly contested gang territories, strung out junkies, burnt out buildings, etc.) does it become apparent why Rockford is one of the most "dangerous places to live".

Anyway, I live in (bougie) Chicago now and convinced my mother to sell the family home and move closer to us. I'm sad we had to give up the house but the last straw was when our neighbor sold his house after 40 years and the buyer converted it into more section 8 housing. The blight had crossed the river, there is no going back now.
