Everyone is too broad but I've read through enough of the posts and replies here and to be honest I'm a little shocked. A lot of the diatribe here is really hostile. I can only approach this from my perspective of course and I understand I've no idea what it is like to walk in others shoes, I haven't experienced what others have in their unique and personal way or from others individual perspectives.

I'm 62 and have my own experiences. I may be older than some and may have a few years more of life's experiences. When I was younger I may have approached my divorce very differently than I do today. For me, in my situation, I don't hate her, I have no animosity toward her and I accept that she wants to move on. She has her own reasons. I know her, understand them and respect her wishes.

I love her and care for her, wishing her only the best. Part of my approach is that, but another part is that in seeing this through with as much grace as I can summon, through being a gentleman, I'm able to move into the next phase of my life knowing I acted honorably. Acting with honor and purposeful integrity helps me move toward a path that I've been trying to achieve for years...decades.

This transition from my former self is often agonizingly slow and incremental but it does move. If I were to leave the marriage with anger and bitterness it would only serve to decay that from which I strive to become and would erode personal growth. It is in my interest to dig deep and face this adversity with thoughtfulness and also to reflect on my role in the demise of our marriage.

Does this make sense to some others or is this only a place to air grievances, bond with other men in unity of anger and avoid truths associated with why our marriages failed?
