I think the problem is most people don't use measuring tapes often, so they have so little idea what an inch or foot or centimeter actually looks like. This comes up in my job pretty frequently (I sell small buildings like pool houses and hunting cabins) where someone sees one of our products on our lot after hours, and they're like "I'm really interested in that 12x20 you have."

I tell them we don't have any displays that size on our lot, we have a 10x16, is that it? "No, it was definitely much larger." I go on to describe the exact look of the 10x16 cabin. "Yes, that's the one!" Okay...that's our 10x16 model and price. "No, no, no, I went inside it, it was bigger!"

I had no idea my company sold the fucking TARDIS, but I guess we must because the customer said so. 🤷

Let's not forget that vaginas also come in different sizes, too. I believe the Kama Sutra even talked about matching the right penis size with the right vagina size. Furthermore, women seem to vary in terms of their pleasure centers inside the vagina. Perhaps all have the same ones, but different centers matter more for different women. Plus, given variety in vagina shapes and sizes as well, the right size + shape of penis really can make a difference for some women.

The main problem that I've noticed, as with a lot of things, is that the extremes are always jumped to in this argument.

"Women don't like giant 10 inch penises, you incels! We prefer smaller penises, but not too small!"

This right here typically eludes arguments about what size they actually like/prefer. I'm going to guess anywhere between 6 and 7 inches is the preferred range for most women who don't have shallow vaginas or some issue that makes sex painful for them. From what I've seen and heard, larger penises are always talked about as being more desirable and better, and "larger" is always taken to the extreme to avoid admitting that women do prefer a little bit larger than the average, as with appearances, and as with money.

Always at least a little bit better than the average.

So, yes and no, women are delusional about penis size, but they also know exactly what they prefer, and it isn't smaller, thinner penises, unless you're talking about massive dongs. Then they do.

Edit: also, in response to "women don't care about penis size," it's not that they don't care about it - its that they overlook or forgive their partner's penis size as long as it's big enough to feel some kind of pleasure. Saying that women don't care about penis size is like saying they don't care about guys being abusive. They definitely care. It just matters less when their judgement is clouded by feelings.

Women obviously do care and it makes logical sense for a bigger dick to cause greater pleasure (to a point) and cause greater arousal. I think women use it as a measure of masculinity and bragging rights amongst friends (though men do too).

Yeah, size has been a contributor in my sexual confidence when I’ve experienced the effects (giving A-spot, O-Spot, Cervical, and multiple orgasms)

When I hadn’t had experience with viewing myself as objectively and subjectively larger, I had less sexual confidence.

And women have definitely used girl inches with me, but I typically tell them the exact measurements if they ask because some women may feel it’s too big and some may feel it’a too small and I wouldn’t want to set the wrong expectations for either.

I agree with those claims. I think the truth is something in the middle - that women care maybe a touch less than men think, because men forget that women aren't nearly as visual as we are. But women do care more than they say they do on average. Certainly some or many are lying.

My own experience:

In college a girl who only ever gave me a handjob said mine was big.

Girlfriend soon after said it was small. We were young and she hadn't seen that many yet. When I told her it's slightly above average, it was clear that numbers and statistics didn't faze her. It upset me that she called it small without actually knowing numbers to be sure if it was small or not. But then, she was in general very feelings-based and not very rational.

A later girlfriend occasionally during sex said it felt big, even though I knew for a fact she'd had a few before me that were way above average. It felt weird when she called mine big.

Later girlfriend years after said "I can feel it in my stomach!" and she was a mother of three.

I don't think my dick's changed in all that time and it's nothing remarkable. Luckily I haven't had any of the more horrible experiences some guys here have had. I've seen women badmouth small penises but haven't seen any guys do it. And I've known some women who are totally ignorant to the fact that the soft penis has no bearing on the hard penis; they don't understand/care to understand about growers vs. showers. Instead of talking about penis girth, why don’t we talk about loose vaginas. I have noticed that the less experienced a woman is,the tighter her vagina is. Is it because the loose flabby ones have been bored out? How about the really loose ones you are pumping and there is hardly any pressure on your peen. The sopping wetness is partly to blame I know,but still.
