I had a thought about male attractiveness recently. The idea is that in addition to ‘beautiful’ there is ‘masculine’ attribute to a man’s looks. So, some guys may be not ‘beautiful’ but very masculine which makes them attractive. Think of Javier Bardem or Adam Driver.

This may explain why some people think looks are not important for a man. They see an ‘ugly attractive’ guy and think that if he’s attractive, any other ugly guy can be too.

I think venting for qualities such as "won't judge you for opening up," is very difficult, because in most cases, the only way to tell is to actually open up, which can lead to loss of sexual attraction. This is almost a trap.

I feel like people who are seemingly undesirable never reflect on how miserable they make themselves sound as potential partners and that’s why no one wants to date them. SEA update:

Went on a date with a really cute 18 year old today. She was really short and petite. She honestly even looked younger than her age, but I had her show me her ID to make sure. Im in my older 20s personally. Ill just say my momma would be ashamed if she saw me today haha.

Funnily enough, we went to mcdonalds. At her reccomendation actually! Which is weird to think about as a westerner. I’m starting to realize how most people having dating/relationship issues because of past trauma or broken families. If you want to filter for a decent partner check that they come from a background where both parents are married, they have a good relationship with the opposite sex parent (check that they weren’t abused or abandoned as a child) and check for any mental illnesses . I think this goes onto affect thing such as n-count, loyalty etc. Are there exceptions to the rule? Yes but I think these can be used as a baseline.
