Overheard a conversation at a restaurant a few weeks back. I didn’t learn anything I didn’t already know but was just interesting to hear it from the horse’s mouth.

2 women talking, one is comparing her current boyfriend to her ex. She said “I never had to worry with my ex. Like he always handled things. When something about her car breaking down on the side is the road he knew exactly what to do and who to call. When I panicked about some kind of family drama he was steady.”

I see a lot of guys get resentful about this double standard. That our role is to be the rock. To handle things. We don’t get to buckle under pressure or be as open about our anxieties or insecurities.

Whats with not wanting guys in the military? Think of all the benefits: free healthcare (somewhat), free place to live off the spouses dime provided by the military, free travel, the best of all is you get to sit on your fat ass at home and don't have to worry about anything because your SO will be the provider with the single income. Oh and the icing on the cake is you can sleep around with others and don't get punished for it, but if your SO does, you can report to his commander and have him get removed from the house and you will still be taken care of by the military.
