I have never seen a woman in her 30s have trouble finding someone if she wanted. It's just a majority of them have really high standards that virtually no man can meet. And, if he can meet them, he can just date someone 5-10 years younger than him.

The idea of the wall is that the dating market becomes more equal. Like women go from 100 to 50 options and men go from 20 to 50 options. It's more leveled out. A lot of people find their spouses in their mid-late 20s and mid-late 30s. I don't think it's anything to worry about as long as you are realistic with what you're looking for.

There's a red pill delusion that young hot prime women are going after 38 year old men and it's leaving women in their 30s short of options. It's so far from the truth it hurts. Young attractive women are dating chads around their own age or a few years older, and therefore women in their 30s have loads of options around their age and older, in that sense the wall doesn't exist. Women always have the advantage in the dating market because men are hornier and have a lower looks threshold - go put up a dating profile of a "post-wall" woman and see how many dozens of lonely men want to take her out for dinner.

What is correct however is a lot of women in their teens and 20s fail to get a top tier attractive man to commit to them and their fading looks and biological clock ticking means they realise their chances of getting a highly desirable partner are not very high, so they start settling for guys they never would have dated when they were younger (the safe, stable, beta provider).

The “wall” for women is probably more realistically something like 70, when living women significantly outnumber living men. So just numerically, it’s tougher for actually old women to date up, because there’s so few older men.

But that’s never the “wall” that red pillers are talking about. For them, it’s more about the revenge fantasy that all women turn into shriveled old hags at age 30, and then cry themselves to sleep every night if they’re not married because after that age, no man will ever want her and she should have married that one boring dweeb who asked her. Yeah, guys in their 40s usually think women in their 20s are the most attractive, but they'd still happily date women in their 30s because these women are actually attainable for them and still look youthful in comparison to the women their own age.

"The Wall" just means the time when a woman can't use her looks to full benefit to gain advantages, rather than she not being able to use her looks at all, so it's not really a "wall", per se.

My own mother who is in her 50's got hit on by a doctor until she told him the man passed out there on the gurney was her husband (my father), he was fine he was just getting something routine done but still. The wall does not mean women can't find partners after that. It means they've lost their youth and fertility and will not be able to secure someone as good as they could have in the past. Their inherent value has diminished and quality men are also out the market. So many women panic when they hit 30, realise they wanna be housewives and their careers mean nothing etc etc

The wall is a bigger deal for women who want kids (obviously), less of a deal for women who don't want kids/age well

There's also a psychological factor to it. Older women carry more trauma and baggage from past relationships which make them sub optimal for relationships. There's a reason FDS women are so old lol. Younger women don't have such rotten minds in general

Your interpretation of the wall is more or less correct. The belief that many women turn into desperate ugly hags at 30 is just a revenge fantasy. The wall is based on some truth that women noticeably lose power in the SMP around 30 due to declining looks, increased desire for committed LTR, and introduction of younger and more attractive women. It mainly manifests in women finding it increasingly more difficult to gain affection from true HVM their age since those men can date younger.

I think the wall is not about your lack of choices but the quality of said choices.

When women are 20 they have guys in their teens, twenties, thirties and forties, and even old rich men in their fifthies and sixties chasing them.

So a small portion of women in their twenties date 18-19 years old goood looooking boys, the large majority of women date men in their 20's and 30's, and another slim minority of women date good looking well off guys in their 40's and wealthy old ass suggar daddies in their 50's.

When you are 30 you simply not.

You'll be forced to date men in their 30's who don't want kids yet and are focused on some 20 something girl, or a man in their 40's who already have kids and doesn't want to get married again.

Happens all the time to my single friends.

It's REALLY funny to see, because they even aren't being pumped and dumped by good looking guys anymore, they date quite average dudes, even ugly ones here and there, but the guys fly away only a few months in. And they come to me and tell me "hey I didn't even liked him THAT much and he still DUMPED ME!" hahaha man it's funny seing them so pissed off.

This happens, as always, because women don't date "down". They don't date down on class and neither on age. They tend to date older guys with a good quality of life, and at this age women are screwed because this is when 20 something women start looking for serious relationships and they blow the pool of suitable men in their 30's.

Of course, there are lots of single guys in their 20's to date. And if you are at least "meh" looking may be they will give you a good shag.

But they are not going to get married to women in their 30's, and they won't father their children, and most single women in their 30's are looking for marriage and children.

I'm not a redpil at all, but yes, dating over 30 for women really sucks.

When discussing the wall we are usually talking about physically attractive women who target the most eligible men and treated men like crap. After 30, a physically attractive woman's ability to attract the most eligible men deteriorates but her standards don't. Meanwhile, the most eligible men in her typical age range find they can date younger women. She gradually realizes the tables have turned and now the men she treated as disposable are treating her as disposable. The other way it exists is that it describes a period in time when a woman “ages out” of one SMP/RMP and enters a new one. As far as I can see, there are a few distinct SMPs/RMPs:

HS/college
20s - 35
35 - about 50ish
50 - about 65
Senior living/nursing homes

Each SMP is unique - different meeting spots, different courting rituals, all sorts of different markers. And each is blind to the SMPs/RMPs that exist beyond their particular one (I’m only aware because I recently aged into the second one, and then watched as my father got active in his after my mother passed. Plus, we all know the nursing home STD stats, so … yeah, that one exists)

A 22 year old guy thinks 35 year old women are gross and old and used up. But you know who doesn’t? A 37 year old guy, or a 45 year old guy. And, hell, a 60 year old guy with 30 year old kids will find that 35 year old too young to date

This is why the fertility angle - while real and valid for the 20s - 35 yo SMP/RMP - ceases to be important for latter SMPs/RMPs. By 35+, if you don’t have kids, you either didn’t want them or just can’t have them. And if you do have kids, you likely don’t want more (u/reluctantly_red being the most wholesome exception here)

So, ironically, after that SMP/RMP, fertility stops being an issue

Well it just doesn't make sense to throw your lot in with an older man at any age unless he is very well cashed up compared to you. I mean think about it...you are 35 and he is 45 and you are both low to medium level professionals of some sort. He is thoroughly absorbed in maxing out his pension plan and you still want to own a swimming pool, get those last few big holiday trips done...well something has to give and it is going to be you living your life and having some midlife fun. Then he retires and you still have to go to work if you want those holidays or to max out your retirement funds...at this point it isn't going to be both...so you are working and likely doing all the housework while he carts about the place walking the dog and reading books. Then he gets frail and you are still hale so you quit work and become his carer and keep him out of the nursing home as long as possible. Then at 80 he dies and you are seventy and have pissed just about all your life away maximizing some dude's life experiences and get to go to a nursing home alone for the next twenty effing years.

Shit deal. Way shit deal. He needs to basically have the means to house you in style and max out your pension plan immediately then pay for nice experiences and for you not to work for it to not be a shit deal. And that's not most guys is it? Better off by yourself.

Yeah that's definitely an option. I also dont think the wall exists as much as some say it does. I think women always have the advantage. Regardless of age a woman will always have significantly more options for sex and dating than a similar aged guy will and the dynamic of dating is always structured in such a way that the guy is trying to impress/win over the girl while she just sits back and judges/evaluates.

I don't think the dynamic ever swaps in guys favor. The closest that happens is the advantage that women has becomes less pronounced after 30, but they never actually lose the advantage.

The real wall is basically woman holding on to her high standards after her look had faded away. Some women do not experience the wall at all, either they weren't as physically attractive to begin with, so they never relied heavily on looks, or they are aware of how attractive they are and they are not shooting for the stars. And some of them take an active role in seducing men.

Other women...

Usually the ones which were highly attractive when they were young, they got used to having to do nothing, just pick from the horde of guys which were offering themselves. When their looks fade away their sense of their own attraction is lagging behind. To top if off since they care so much about their high value they are hesitant to do anything that might signal lower value, such as dating anything but Chat, or actively flirting because that risks getting rejected.

It's not that they do not have anyone to date with, it's just that their are competing with younger more attractive women for most attractive men. And in that competition they are on the bottom of the barrel.

I don't think that's an accurate statement of the wall theory. I think what's going on is that if a man has a lot of options he will generally speaking choose a 25 year old over a 35 year old even if he himself is 35.

I don't think of myself as a "Chad" but I'm over 50 and all the woman I've dated in the last few years have been between the ages of 20 and 30 with one exception.

The upshot is that a woman who is 36 can get a man but it won't be a man with the same level of desirability she could have gotten 10 years earlier. For some women, this is a big problem. Because as everyone ages, their looks fade but their standards of attractiveness stay the same.

I did date one woman who was in her 30s in the past couple years. She definitely seemed desperate to find a husband and disappointed that I was interested only in an FWB relationship. We kept seeing each other even after she was engaged and even after she was married. Maybe she was just trying to boost my ego, but she definitely seemed disappointed with her husband.

The wall is a combination of baby rabies, fading looks, and for many the buffet being just far to tasty.

The hottest woman I've ever seen in person was 34 when I met her, but she worked her ass off to stay that way. Most people due to lifestyle catching up and genetics can start to really age badly.

So yea they can (and do) date older men, often mid 40's (15 years diff) or around that.

But there are compromises to be made in that, they would rather someone their age but few guys in their early 30's who are single just want to jump in and have a kid right away.

And being I'm 50, I have no problem with a "post wall women" but I don't want more kids which is usually also the issue (most of the older guys will be divorced often with kids).

So they typical post wall woman wants to settle down with a guy her age, who wants kids and wants them right away.

This isn't an advantageous position.

The point is that women look for successful good looking men. Successful good looking men in their 30s and 40s are looking for best available female, which means women in their sexual prime, which are the teens and 20s. And if they are good looking and successful enough, they can and will pull them.

Furthermore, women in their 30s may have been successful in their career, which means they are looking for an ultra successful man whose career overshadows their own. And those men are definitely going to be wrangling some bird eating shielas. So, in essence, these women are going to have to settle. Somehow, someway, they will have to settle, and that settling could lead to dissatisfaction down the road.

These are only tendencies, and humans can break out of their tendencies and biological imperatives. But i have seen this play out too many times with friends to know its not all just bs.

The only difference is that a man can level up easier even as he gets past his 20s and find someone younger. Of course he'd have to actually level up, not just have the things going for him that he already should have. There is no such thing as any wall for a woman at 30. Just like the majority of the time an older man does not prefer to date a younger woman. A man wants to simply date an attractive woman who treats him well. The key word there is "attractive ". I am older 50 and I ran into many problems trying to date and I will be honest, most of them related to weight. I am a very fit man so I was looking for a fit woman. I had very few options without going younger. When I did find a woman around my age that was fit, she would often be quite bitter and truly believed that the relationship should be all about me pleasing her and that she shouldn't have to do anything for me in return. Once again pushing me to date a younger woman that had a much better attitude. Eventually, I did find a woman that was both fit and believed in giving as much to me as she expected in return.

What do you describe is pretty much exactly what happens for a lot of women. Even those women waiting into the 30s can still find a quality guy, it's just that more than likely he's going to be older.

I saw this in my own personal group of friends. The later they got married, the larger the age Gap was in general.

The first wedding I went to were with high school sweethearts who are only a year apart in age. They got married in their mid twenties. The next female friend was in her early 30s when she married a guy in his late 30s (maybe a 7-year age difference). A few years after that, another friend of mine in her mid thirties married a college professor in his mid-40s. The last wedding was a beautiful friend of mine in her mid to late 30s who married a guy who was 50.

It should be noted that all of these guys were relatively successful in their fields, but not super elite or anything. They were all average looking and generally matched the woman in terms of looks, with one slight exception. None of these women married slobs are losers. All of these guys could be considered good dudes.

So yes, if you're in your 30s and you're comfortable dating a guy in his 40s or maybe early 50s you're still good. Personally, I don't see what the problem is with that.

The wall for most women is just finally dating guys similar to her own SMV. When they are young they can get away with having sex with high SMV guys. I think the biggest problem for a lot of women is how happy she will be in these relationships. Will she always resent her husband because he isn't as high tier as some of the guys she was with in her youth?

TRP and TBP are both extremists, the truth is somewhere in the middle. TRP having more fame right now because of feminism.

The WALL it's not the point where a woman can't date or have sex anymore, it's not about access to men, correlated but as a percentage of the whole truth. The wall means, the access of HVM that want to commit to her.

And because of men being a pragmatic and simple gender, wanting sex and support, they look at women by their looks. So a 34F, as sexy and fit she may be, she's not even close to herself 10 years before, so, HVM will look down always for the most fertile, young and hot female they can grasp.

Not that this HVM will no have sex with the 34 year old, but women's mental stability, looks and personality decreases a lot as they have being burnt out in other relationships.

Many people looks at this as revenge fantasy, from being rejected by women, but there's some reality in this.

Women need to understand they have like a 10 year time frame to find a really good guy. But feminism has being lying to them, so, they want to have it all at the same time. And as the biological clock ticks, they realizr sometimes is too late to have this HMV commited to them.

Biology, simplicity and social construct. That is the wall.

My son’s mom is 53 (we were never married, not currently together). She’s 6’, blonde/blue, former professional ballerina, two doctorates from a top university, former working model…. She’s used to having all the buying power in the world.

She hasn’t dated anyone since we broke up 10 years ago. I tell her to grab a guy in his 60’s and settle down. She says the guys she’s attracted to are fit and in their 30’s. I explain those guys are dating women in their 20’s who grew up with internet porn and will do things for them in bed she calls “disgusting”.

Now, apparently, I’m an asshole.
