That was me and I didn't frame it as a rejection. I didn't say anything about it being a rejection at all and that wasn't the point of the story.

The thread was about chemistry. It was an example of me being attracted to a guy at first but then not vibing with him once we started hooking up. From MY perspective, blowing him and leaving was the quickest easiest way to get out of the situation without having to have sex with him. His not experiencing that as a rejection doesn't have anything to do with the fact that I wasn't feeling it, which was the point of the story.

If I had been feeling it, I would have been turned on and wanted to have sex with him or for him to finger me or something. And again, I'm not saying the fact that I didn't constitutes a rejection. I'm talking about my subjective experience in the situation.

I absolutely did not. I even said "It worked out fine for him." I was only trying to describe the lack of chemistry from my end.

You still had sex with him, it was just oral sex.

Yes, sex that didn't involve my genitals in any way because I wasn't aroused by him.

Again, the point of the story wasn't that I rejected him or that he didn't get his dick sucked. It was that I wasn't aroused which is why I literally did the one sex act that didn't involve my genitals at all and then left. I am not in any way saying this was a bad deal for him. And yes I was there because he was attractive, again that was literally the POINT of the story, that it's possible to find someone attractive but not vibe/have chemistry once you get going.

The logic is not flawed at all. I need to be aroused to enjoy being vaginally penetrated, otherwise it's uncomfortable and painful. Arousal is not necessary to perform oral sex. Where's the gap in logic?

Explain how a blow job is "very influential" to my health unless the guy has HPV or something, in which case vaginal sex would be an even greater risk. PIV is way riskier to a woman's health than oral sex is, it's not even a comparison.

What's illogical is saying "pregnancy notwithstanding" like it's some minor detail you can handwave away and not the single largest factor undergirding female sexuality and our attitude toward vaginal penetration.

Homophobia is on of those terms thats horribly misused, and phobia in general.

Phobia - an extreme or irrational fear of or aversion to something

The key word being extreme. I personally have a visceral fear of heights, but its not a phobia, it doesn't stop me from normal function, I don't panic looking out the window of a skysraper, that sort of thing. I just get the uneasy feeling looking down from a good height. Hell it never stopped me from becoming a private pilot.

If you don't want to fuck a transwoman you are not "transphobic", if you don't find a guy sexually appealing if he's bi, you are not "homophobic".

This is just trying to shame and shut down conversations.

If seeing two guys kissing makes you go "ewww" you are not homophobic, if seeing two guys kissing makes you go try to beat them up or run out of the room crying, ok you are homophobic.

Like, you said it's homophobia to not want to have sex with men who enjoy anal sex. But women literally reject straight men for their sexual preferences and kinks all the freaking time. And oftentimes they are rejected for reasons arguably much more trivial than legitimate concerns about sexual incompatibility/differing kinks. Women here have said they would not date straight men who've visited escorts, who send dick pics, who have an n-count above 10, even who watch porn. Do straight men get to claim that these preferences are "heterophobia?"

So you're not asking to be treated the same as straight men, you're actually asking for special treatment. To not have them take into account your sexual preferences and past behaviours like they would for a straight man. This whining is a turnoff even for women who are open to bi men. But that's you framing anal as a negative, ironically. Not wanting to have sex with men who enjoy anal sex is not a value judgment, it's just a point of incompatibility if that woman is not also into anal. The preference for anal sex itself is neutral, you're the one framing it as negative. It's only negative if it's being forced on someone who doesn't want or enjoy it.

It would be homophobia if the woman enjoys anal but just not with men who also enjoy it with other men, but a woman who doesn't want anal with anyone is not being homophobic because she also excludes bi men who like it from consideration.

Your sweeping judgment of all women who don't want to have sex with dudes who enjoy anal as homophobic doesn't make exceptions for those women who would also exclude straight men with this preference from consideration, so how can you demand exceptions be made for the minority of bi men who don't like anal? They're a tiny percentage of men, and of that tiny percentage, an even tinier percentage is not into anal, per the statistics. The statistics which I will again point out that you provided. The chances of encountering a bi guy (to begin with) let alone one who wasn't into anal would be slim so literally who is hurt by this probability, all two of the exceptions I might meet across an entire lifetime? It doesn't negate the fact that in actual practise I was willing to do so given that a baseline of likely sexual compatibility had been established i.e. that neither of us is into anal.

Because that's the only statistic on MSM anal sex practice. I used it as a tertiary point in a different conversation and you've brought it up again while not understanding the statistic. That is not what I said. Not dating someone because you're not sexually compatible is perfectly reasonable. But the blanket statement of "I don't date bi men" leaves no room for this. It's a blanket statement that doesn't even consider the individuals own wants and desires. You cannot determine if you're sexually compatible or not with someone if you don't at least talk to them about it.

It depends. It can take 3 months for HIV to show up on a test, but it only takes a matter of days to a few weeks for STDs like gonorrhea, chlamydia, and syphilis to show up.

You won't ever admit to this now I'm sure, but I will grantee you have had sex without a test prior. You have not had a blood test between each partner.

This may shock you but a lot of women don't like players, people on this sub tend to put one category of women into all women. The average male n count isn't that high in a lifetime.

I will agree STD rates are part of the excuse because most women don't find bi males sexually desirable, period, the STD rate is just a cherry on this sundae.

On top of that, less likely to use a condom if attractive enough. You’re talking about STDs like women care, they don’t.

Women hate condoms almost as much as men IME, and if they are more turned on their get stupider and less prone to want one because they are horny as fuck and only the horny matters. This btw is even more of a reason to avoid bi men. Why compound your risk?

Try to find something like that for heterosexual men, where they can just park and they are approached by a woman (or the other way around) for such a service. IIRC one republican congressman was outed as gay/bi by doing such a thing in a bathroom and getting caught by a cop.

This handwaving about it is NOT backed up by EMPIRICAL std data. If they are no worse explain how their STD cases make up such a large proportion of new cases?

The way he talks it's really as if he forgot that it happened. If I asked him he would of course remember it. But it's like you say, it doesn't get to him anymore.

The speed dating event was eye- opening to him back then. But it didn't have a lasting effect.

He also forgot that he was completely happy with the weight lifting routine I gave him. He was rightfully frustrated with the routine the gym guy gave him. Lots of unnecessary exercises and stupid progression system. When he worked out with the plan I gave him, he made great gains and had more fun.

After a two year break he went back to the gym. Works out with the most stupid plan ever.

I asked him why he didn't use the routine I gave him back then.

Turns out that he can't even remember that I gave him the routine and that he was working out with it for over 6 months.

He seems to be immune to paradigm- shifts in general.

The sad thing is that we had come so far.

He always thought that the gym and lifting weights was only for meatheads. I convinced him that he was wrong.

I didn't tell him to go to the gym. I made appointments at two gyms and dragged him there.

He said that he wanted to only train for health reasons and fitness... not "for women". I convinced him that there is nothing wrong with wanting to look good for one's (future) gf.

He wanted to do push-ups and bodyweight exercises instead of resistance training with machines and weights. "Why? Do you like push-ups?" "No, I hate push-ups!"

I convinced him that the same routine that would help his back and fitness would also make him more buff. No reason to workout only for health when you can have both without additional effort.

And it worked like a charm.

He was happy that he didn't have any back pain anymore when he was playing with or going for walks with his nieces.

He wasn't tired from working out, he was energised.

I remember we were having drinks once and he was both consciously und subconsciously constantly flexing his arms and chest because he was so happy with the results. The guy who always hated on meatheads was now flexing and enjoying every second of it.

And then, years later, he is back to telling me "I want to workout for myself and for health. Not to look good and not for women."

It's just sad.

I can understand when people don't want to put in effort when they don't know how great the results will be. But he has experienced it. He should know that it's not a lot of effort. He should know that it can be fun.

Writing this, I think it's more than just my friend... sounds like I am disillusioned in general.

Thank you! Really. I just realised that it has been eating at me more than I thought.

He is kind of dependent on me, yes. Only has two friends. A great woman who is married. She is awesome and they have been friends for ages but she is a mother now and rarely has time. The other friend is me.

The problem is that I am in a rough place myself right now and I just can't really help him like I did years ago. I introduced him to my circle of friends back then and everybody liked him. But I rarely go out rn so that is not an option anymore.

Or maybe the thought process is further avoidance — “if I got a gf, I’d have to not fuck it up for years!”

He once talked about "maybe it's not so bad that I am single. If I had a bad gf, it would be hell because I am not good at drawing boundaries and she might put me down blablabla."

I couldn't understand it at all. Why was he thinking about a bad relationship when at that time he had close to zero chances to find a gf?

And he always wanted to have kids, but always talked about how he was afraid that he might not be a good father.

The more I think about what you said, avoidance does seem to be the key element.

You can do that and not be fat. If two people get fat and happy together kudos to them, thats great for them.

But there is another side too. As a former fatty I'm healther now than I was at 35 by virtue of not being fat. God knows where my body would be at 50 had I not gotten my shit together and in shape by 40. I owe my wife a healthy energetic and mentally competent me. Being fat would detract from that. I buried a fat best friend just over a year ago, he was 51. Being fat is what killed him, his wife in her 40's is now a widow because he didn't take care of his health.

I think a perfect example of this is when you see threads on r/tinder about height the immediate response from guys is "cAn I aSk HeR hOw MuCh ShE wEiGhS"

Like sure, you can ask whatever you want but you’re gonna look like an asshole.

I think it would be better to frame it like we should challenge social constructs of masculinity and analyze why we’re attracted to certain things, we shouldn’t force people to be attracted to people they’re not, but would should ask ourselves why we’re attracted to these things and whether or not that binary attraction has the potential to be problematic.

I think in that way you’ve approached it more intellectually, but the issue of course is that a lot of people refuse to practice any self awareness so you can’t expect someone to really question their own actions without the heavy lifting being done already

If you mean tobacco, I prefer not to, although I have in the past, I didn’t like it, and eventually it became deal breaker for me. It stinks everything up, makes them stink and have bad breath that I don’t want to kiss, and it triggers my asthma so I can’t be around them while smoking. If they smoke indoors it’s the worst, or when they take you out and sit in the smoking section. It’s not very fair to make me suffer inhaling second hand smoke and having to take steroids (asthma inhaler) just because they want to smoke. (Banning indoor smoking has been a huge plus for me, I can hardly believe anyone tolerated that as long as we did.) Plus it’s unhealthy and will lower their lifespan, I’d rather they didn’t purposely do things that lowered it if I’m planning on living the rest of my life with them.

If you mean marijuana, that’s not an issue with me, most people I’ve dated smoke that sometimes, it doesn’t seem to leave a bad smell (it’s a more pleasant odor to me, and doesn’t seem to permeate in the walls or in clothes the same way), and it doesn’t trigger my asthma.

Yes "11 times" sounds like a big number, but if the actual numbers aren't very big, "11 times" can still mean "not a big threat."

Seems like exactly something they would do.

Hard to say because I'm pretty sure a lot of those articles have been scrubbed from the internet due to damage control and pure censoring of information, and I didn't make the video so I don't have the originals. However, if you can't find those articles anywhere despite there being pictures of them, then the only two possibilities are that someone made them up, or someone is purposely trying to hide them. I'd be just as concerned about the latter as the former.

Not unless you think doctors run the media instead of the big corporations and the media running the media. If the media and these corporations are indeed censoring info to push a narrative, I don't think they can be seen as credible anymore.

Carnabuci created a small model of a Floyd sculpture and shared it with a friend who brought it before Eshelman of Confront Art.

Confront Art lends its platform to artists focusing on social justice and diversity. Eshelman coincidentally was meeting with Terrence Floyd, George Floyd’s brother when she received the sculpture model. She showed it to Terrence Floyd and noticed he became teary-eyed and told her, “I have never seen my brother’s rendering like this.”

Eshelman asked for Terrence’s blessing to use the sculpture to help raise awareness on social justice and the WeAreFloyd nonprofit created in George Floyd’s honor.

“All of these faces are different,” Eshelman explained of the impact the pieces are intended to create.

“Police brutality, injustice, and moving the conversation forward and we always say any of them can be interchangeable with a number of other people.

We could put Eric Garner in there or Sandra Bland in there, these are just the faces that stick with us as a society so that’s why they were used,” said Eshelman.

The murals and sculptures aren’t about Floyd the man in particular, but about what he represents and how he’s not uncommon.

in regards to this, i think this is solved by my rule of "guilty until proven innocent". These women are not aware that men tend to have preverse intentions, yet that is no secret to women (we are taught this from a young age). I find it foolish that women fall for obvious pit falls.

I'm closer to my female friends than most guys as there is no unspoken sexual tension etc I think, I really like my partners, but as friends. Honestly you here how hard it is for men and women to be friends due to sex thoughts getting in the way (sometimes the woman often the men), well I don't worry about that. In fact sex itself does little to me in terms of "love". I'll use my own relationship as an example, I was having sex with my wife for a good 3 months, daily, before I started to have love feelings. It wasn't the sex it was the time together. But I'm acutely aware of my brain chemistry in this. Once I did start to fall for a very frequent partner, but only because we started to hang out a little 1-1 together. I nipped that one in the bud myself.

The end result of any community that's female focused for it's own sake; a bunch of a pseudo-sisterhood nonsense built entirely upon their shared thinly veiled contempt for men.

If women start a community around, I don't know, glass blowing or something it can be one of the friendliest and self affirming groups for women there is. It's when they try to build this false solidarity around the "female identity" that they eventually find out all that really unites that identity is a bunch of woe-is-me whining against those filthy penis havers.

There was a time when the subreddits motto was "you are now doing kegels," because it was the sort of laid back environment where you were greeted at the door with a vag clenching joke, in the years before that was intolerably transphobic. I even made a troll comic there a decade ago (1.1k votes was enormous back then.) Pretty soon it became a place for women to "vent" their anger and it all to quickly slid into the inevitable quagmire of angry victim hugbox. I look at it maybe once a year and it's just sad.

I was gonna basically say the same thing about the motto too. It was hip, chiq and let you know a function of your body most women aren't aware of.

I'll mention more about how the discussion used to be. There would often be crossposts from the main page. So you would get women discussing science and politics. And the discussion was clearly very different from the men dominated subreddits. Or at least for me it added to the conversation knowing it was women doing it.

The subs popularity brought people like you, the constant, "as an XY...." Type comments. And then it all changed when Tumblr got big. Suddenly everything had a trigger warning. It quickly turned into a support sub. Now all you really get from twox is:

"To the lady at xyz... Thank you" validation type threads. Or "teehee my husband cleaned today I'm so blessed".

And funny thing is I remember your meme actually. Period rage comics with the shining were all the rage at one point.

I'm on the fence about it. I'm too used to being a guy so I wouldn't trade it for anything short of upper-class luxury. With that said if I was a woman I doubt that I would want to be a man either.

The thing about being a woman is that almost regardless of time/place you could have forged your own path if you really wanted to while you were obligated to do so as a man. There were female craftsmen and business owners. It was just not a particularly cushy path to walk for a small (potential) payout so most did not bother.

Like say you wanted to be a blacksmith, you could (if you really, really wanted) do that but you would have to buy into the "privilege" of being an indentured servant until you are like 30 years old. Then you would have to somehow get a license (those were very limited) to practice your craft. If you did all that, congratulations you now are a middle-class woman in her late thirties or early forties who is probably never going to be able to start a family. Obviously, this all depends greatly on what you want to do and the time period, but it's usually not worth the cost for most people. That is why nobody wanted this outside the upper-class women. For them, the payout was much bigger and the risk was much smaller.

Anything related to rights is a massive diversion. The answer would be the same as why there were liberal (in the original meaning of the word) reforms that seemingly catered for the working-classes / poor.

It's just simply to make them easier to manage and stop them from getting uppity.

In reality, you have no rights. You have owners. You think that you have rights, but they can be taken away from you quite easily.

We've just had a period of months, and it's still ongoing, where the most basic freedoms and liberties were removed, and very few people did anything.

Don't take our guns, don't take our guns, we'll fight back! They talk a good game, but when it came to the crunch they completely crumbled.

There are no rights for women or men, there are merely such privileges as exist until they are removed; in relation to which, you will get no say whatsoever.
