Where does it come from?

When it comes to personality, unattractive can mean emotional immaturity, lack of confidence in hard times, laziness, poor at communication, not good at giving affection, etc.

When it comes to physical attractiveness, unkempt facial hair, bad grooming, poor hygiene (eyebrows, teeth and nails), too fat or too skinny, inappropriate clothing for their age, etc.

Attractive men have many options, it's true and most of them are already taken before the age of 30 (at least in my circle of friends), but in my experience handsome men tend to treat me better, men with high status treated me better.

I think women can play the naïve role sometimes, but she, of course, knows that "winning the heart of a man with many options" is like applying for the least qualified job this summer, she's the last person to be called.

When you read history, you study history, you realize that both men can treat women like trash.

Unattractive men can pump and dump if they get the chance, right?

So where does this misconception come from that the less attractive men actually treat women better?
