It's mostly a scare tactic/attempt to convince women at large to settle down and commit earlier, depending on your perspective. It is absolutely not meant to get you afraid that an SO will always be chasing a newer model, though that does happen and it's really shitty and the guys that do it are sleazy. It is meant to get you afraid of the "what if I don't have a strong LTR by then?" scenario.

I understand why it causes anxiety about your relationship, but in reality, men tend to grow loyal over time. It's not something to be afraid of with most men as long as they were with you for the long haul anyway and for the right reasons (complimentary personality, etc.). This is the most important thing to vet for early in a relationship, and for exactly the reasons you're getting worried about.

Tbh I've also only encountered this attitude online. I'm not old old but I'm in my thirties. Men still desire me and I actually don't encounter the attitude offline that I see here. Men usually want to be with someone from their peers, age gap relationships are rare and men are very pleasant to converse with most of the time. Are there occasionally assholes? Sure. Are most of them like the redpill dudes I see here? Nope. I'm probably a rp man's nightmare of a woman for a serious relationship. Older, childfree, open relationship, likes casual sex, body count over 3.

Yet if I were to lose my partner and ended up single again I honestly don't think I would struggle to meet nice men who would want a serious relationship with me, if I desired one. And I don't mean a "simp" or someone who settles for me, just someone who would truly like to be with me. I'm still in my first real, adult relationship. My love says I'm the best relationship he has ever been in and he has way more relationship experience than myself. I think I'm a good partner and I bring my SO joy and peace. I'm obviously not perfect but I think I'm doing alright.

My encounters with other men since opening our relationship show me the same. Even with casual encounters I can see that men actually do like my personality. I think that men in online places like this one are ironically the ones who paint men in a worse light than they deserve.

If I had thought that all men secretly think like the men in these online places I would flee to a nunnery. So I'm taking everything I read from men here with a grain of salt. I don't think that I've expired and I don't think that most men think about women that way.

I definitely think online the discussion about the wall is a bit off. Telling women they've hit a wall at 30 is laughable. If i had to put it at a number it would be like mid-40's to mid-50's (middle crisis territory) but like a lot of things, I'd rather think about milestones, not hard ages. I.e. at what point have your looks actually degraded, when have you become simply too jaded, etc. Also, to the extent someone cares, how does your age impact fertility.

I also want to point out that at least a couple of the men you talk about irl are probably just sycophants, though I could only guess at the proportion. Men absolutely will lie about exactly this sort of thing to get in your pants, especially if you come off as easy going and open to one night stands/fwb stuff, which you seem to be.

Either way, congrats on the romantic success all around, even if some men (on or offline) wouldn't want to be in the same situation.

there's a big difference between choosing to date younger women when you are single and being in a long-term committed relationship or marriage with a woman who will inevitably age. a man who does the former doesn't necessarily replace his partner when she gets older. in fact i think the dicaprio thing (or a variation of it) is incredibly rare. i'm pretty sure the women he dated in the past decade or so must have been well aware about the situation as well at that point.

when you're single and dating, going for the most attractive and suitable demographic of people available to you (depending on personal preferences) makes sense. you don't have history with the people you date and for the most part they're essentially strangers. naturally people with options will pre-select based on superficial and pragmatic metrics to varying degrees. as a result some guys will prefer younger women but that's not a universal thing either. some men do prefer somebody who has a similar income and who they can relate to better.

however when you spend years or even decades with a person, loving them, building a life together, creating a bond, sharing a history and intimate memories, that's an entirely different situation. i would not leave something like that behind to go and find a younger woman. you might have kids at that point, linking you together for life and even if you don't, i think it would be incredibly short-sighted, superficial and selfish to do something like that. i date younger now that i'm single but i think there's a good chance i'd still be with my HS or college sweethearts if they didn't dump me to be honest. i think there's very little correlation between those things.

i think a lot of men who talk about this (at least when using that kind of language) are bitter about dating and women but even those guys probably differentiate between older women who are single compared to those who are married. some of the main reasons why men might choose younger women will be irrelevant if you're in a decade long relationship. if they want kids, they probably already have them at that point (or are about to). there's no emotional baggage from dating around and hooking up with random dudes for a decade. obviously looks fade over time but most men aren't exactly silver foxes either. that alone is not enough to jump ship at all in my opinion.

"Expired' is probably too strong of a word. I think guys who use that term are saying it in response to the women who approach dating recklessly in their 20s becuase they take for granted their ability to find a man to settle down when they are in their 30s. But those type of women, by the time they are 30, tend to have emotional baggage, potentially multiple kids, been ran through, their beauty is fading, and they are looking for someone to leech onto.

So yes, in general, the quality of women availble on the dating market is not that great as you get older. But all becuase a person is aging doesn't mean they are losing all their value. Physical beauty does tend to fade, but men are really simple to aetsetcially please and we still see beauty in all its different phases. Yet, there are so many other qualities to making someone beautiful. And as you are with someone over time you create memories and a bond so strong that, that relationship means so much more than a younger girl, who on the surface, only has a nice body to offer.

A whole lot of bullshit, and you should be well aware of it.

The reason men cling so tightly to their relationships is not because they are wonderful, beautiful creatures that inherently love women and their families with every bit of their heart.

More often than not, the reason is that most men seriously lack leverage in the dating market and can't afford to lose any catch they lay their hands on, so they end up over-investing to the point of self-sacrifice just to prevent the woman from leaving.

Because if she leaves, how many months/years is it going to be before you get another woman to give you any attention?

It's all about leverage and market dynamics. Pure economics. Stop using fancy words and catchphrases, because they have nothing to do with reality.

Not saying that. I am saying simply not leaving isn't the be all and end all of a relationship.

I watched some clips of the recent Fresh and Fit after hours and Donovan Sharpe said something like this. The red pillers were asking the female guests whether they should marry young or not (like 18-21 sort of young), the women pretty much said no because they wouldn't feel secure making such a life long commitment at an age where they're less mature and susceptible to impulsive decision making (paraphrasing because the guests didn't explain it so well, think they were drunk) and Dononvan just kept saying the same thing -

"Why feel insecure about settling down young, men don't leave relationship, women do" blah blah.

Which isn't the point. The women were saying they want to be in happy and healthy relationships with someone they're compatible with and that often isn't the case if you're locked into a relationship you chose when you were impulsive and immature. Simply physically being together isn't the be all and end all of relationship satisfaction.

The two aren’t comparable. Most men don’t go bald, and this is a problem that can easily be fixed by a hair transplant. It can also be prevented by using minoxidil, finasteride, and ketoconazole shampoo.

On the other hand, there is no plastic surgery in the world that can make a woman who looks 38 years old look like her 20 year old self again.

inb4 you point out some female celebrity who you think is “gorgeous” in her 50s. When women rate other women, they don’t value youthfulness as much as men do when rating women. This means most men would think Megan Fox today is uglier than the AVERAGE 21 y/o female American college student, even though back in 2007 she could be considered one of the most beautiful women in the world.

Similarly, when women rate men, they value height much more than men think. The average man couldn’t comprehend that women would find some 5’11 kpop idol looking guy a lot more attractive than a more masculine looking 5’6 guy with a good physique.

A generic looking 25 y/o female has more options than an old woman who looks like Megan Fox.

I doubt it. Megan fox is above average. Take a look at a woman like Pearl who is average (the RP female influencer)… You’re telling me she has more options than megan fox? Do you think MGK would have proposed to Pearl over megan fox?

On the other hand, a handsome 40 year old guy has way more options than a generic looking 25 year old

If that man is handsome at 40 - chances are he was handsome at 25 though. Look at men like Jason Momoa,
Chris Evans, Matthew McConaughey. They simply kept being in shape but the handsomeness was always there.

I think handsome men have options regardless of age. And a young guy who is handsome is more likely to bag another girl his age than the 40 year old man because she is less likely to see the younger guy as creepy. Which can be a concern for older men.

When men talk about having more options as they age, its about money. That’s what can suddenly allows them to attract more women. Not looks. But it obviously attracts certain types over others.

Aging is an inevitable part of life. Most reasonable people accept this fact and aren't too bothered by it. Other people spend tons of money on plastic surgery and often end up looking worse than if they had just aged naturally. Plastic surgery often looks terrible after a few years, it just looks so... unnatural.

The post is about women having an expiration date. The OP is worried that she won't be able to date or get in a relationship again if her current relationship ends. Younger men marring older women and staying with them obviously shows that older women don't have expiration dates.

Also yes I live in big Florida cities (I alternate between Tampa Bay and Miami for work) I'm a successful attractive man and I surround myself with other successful attractive men. I'm surrounded by hot people the second I walk out of the house, so unlike the people constantly crying about dating and hook up culture online I actually see how the process happens in real-time.

At under 30, I'm the baby of my group and a lot of them are in their late 40s and early 50s. Quite them look a decade younger than they are and regularly get hit on by 20-somethings.

Yes, there is a contingent of men who are specifically just looking for sex with hot women repeatedly but most men are looking for a consistent partner. Sex is a lot more fun for most people when it's with someone you care about. These guys have no interest in dealing with 20-somethings because they have nothing in common. We aren't particularly interested in talking about the latest Instagram and tiktok memes we have better things to do with our day. Hell I personally almost exclusively date hot older women because I don't care about kids and some hot lawyer with her head on straight is a lot sexier than some college girl who keeps talking about xyz that happened on Instagram.

It's comical because the dudes who only care about a woman being "young and fertile" are usually the most boring men no wonder they can't get laid.

Was it a survey? Did he track who they looked at?

He doesn’t explain. Also, if it’s a survey, then men and women probably heard a different question in their heads. Who are you attracted to could be for sex or relationship. But he doesn’t explain what he asked or how. Women would likely say who they’re most attracted to for a relationship not just sex or who looks best. I would say men look best around 25-30. But I don’t want to date a 25 year old.

This is the problem with the graph. He doesn’t explain his methodology. He’s smart, so it’s likely shoddy.

Everyone settles. Absolutely everyone.

There’s no such thing as someone getting 100% of what they want.

The key thing is finding a balance where you’re ok with what you settled with versus not ok with it. Most people are fine settling for stupid little details or nice to haves, and will be blissfully happy with someone who is maybe an inch shorter or a year older than they specified. Most people who “settle” on a person with 70-90% of their requirements will be happy.

For example: take a woman who has these as an “ideal”:

25 to 30
College graduate
Not obese
Likes hiking
Wants children
Is Christian
Over 5’8

If the partner they ended up with is 31, or 5’7, they’ve “settled”. When you think about it this way, millions of people settle every day. But these things? They don’t really matter that much. So many women will be absolutely fine if that’s what they ended up with. It’s only a small deviation from what they wanted.

Say that the imaginary man who they ended up with hates children. Or they’re a satanist. THAT is worse. Because those things are much more non negotiable and are going to cause a lot more problems in the relationship than being a bit shorter than ideal. That’s bad settling. Good settling is just common sense and part of being an adult. It’s accepting you might have to chose something a little different if you have the potential of a good relationship.

Rarely here the term "expired" used, but the logic behind it is basically saying some women have aged out of the market. Women misunderstand this statement all the time, so I'll attempt to break it down for you.

1) Aging out does not mean having no options. It just means that options have changed and so standards need to be adjusted. A lot of average women in their prime might be able to land the occasional Chad or date up in general, but the ability to do that goes down if looks have decreased and fertility is no longer on the table. Also, a lot of good men will be paired off by middle age, and some of the single men might want to just play the field AKA your Leonardo DiCaprios. Those guys might be a catch, but if they have no intention of committing then they don't count as a long-term partner.

2) This isn't meant to make women feel bad. (Except the expired terminology probably is). It's mostly told to warn women in their prime to not squander it and women past their prime to be realistic.

3) This is mostly a single woman issue. If a woman is married, she's no longer on the market so none of this applies. If she's got the man, kids, family, he's tied is assets to her and invested time in her and their family, chances are he's not leaving. Only 20% of divorces are filed by men. If you've committed to someone fully for years, you're a lot more likely to accept them balding or putting on weight vs you meeting someone for the first time while you're single and them having those shortcomings. Women always conflate how a man will treat a woman he's committed to vs a woman he's not invested any time or emotion to. Of course we will be more critical when vetting a stranger.

Because it's true? Also, it's a suggestion that women shouldn't waste their time. Society tells women that they can have their fun like they have all the time in the world. Men and women have different value.

Men are born as trash, unless they belong to some powerful and wealthy family. Men gain their value by action during life. When a man doesn't do anything, doesn't fighting, doesn't reach some hights, he's a trash. When men die we say we have casualties, it's not a tragedy.

Women are born with value. A woman's value is her ability attract men. When a woman young, but fat and ugly, her value is low, but still bigger than useless men have. Women loose their beauty when they age, just like ability carry children, everybody knows that. Value goes down. Career for a woman is a safe option in a case she fails as a woman.

The reason men say this is that when surveyed across all ages, countries etc, the majority of MEN EVERYWHERE picked young women in the 20-24 range as their ideal. This was the highest choice whereas for women it was guys closer to their age.

This is mainly down to biology 🧬 and what women can provide a man (sex & a family). Women over 35 will generally not be considered for this and the decline in female sex drive makes these older women generally undesirable.

Finally a young woman, in her prime at the peek of her SMV will not have the same baggage from a horde of Chads/bad boys etc, that an older woman has and is more likely to be a bitter feminist by 35 who hates men.

As a 22yr old in your prime, I would strongly advise you to secure a guy that’s the following:

1) Not a player - he won’t commit or stay faithful and you’ll end up a single mom 2) A guy similar level of attractiveness that feels lucky to have you, is willing to commit and introduce you publicly as his girlfriend. 3) Is on a decent career path to provide for a family 4) Wants kids & marriage 5) Is generous and considerate - this should go both ways or leads to resentment

I would also encourage you make the guy work & wait for sex as this will get rid of all the players. However, running dual mating strategies (AF/BB) will get any serious guy to be resentful and he will dump you if he’s treated like a clown (taking you on dates while Chad just come over to blow your back out).

Do not also use online dating as you will end up picking guys way out of your league that will not commit. Get to know the guy in real life and that’s the best chance of long term happiness.

If you live to your 90s, think about the next 70 years and aim to get the setup you want while your bargaining power is at its highest (now).

Guys like DeCaprio switch these women out as he has no kids and is not married. Plus he has loads of options as a movie star! Most guys don’t have these options! If she gets married young and has kids with her husband, that will not mean he will find her desirable or valuable when she is over 35. Marriage does not change male biology.

So what is the value of being married to someone who will consider you extremely undesirable within a few years? If you only have, say, 15 years of being valuable to any men, why should a woman waste those short years with a man who, just like all other men, will find her unattractive anyways soon?

The red pill constantly berating women as worthless for merely getting older are making a very strong argument for young women to enjoy their brief youth while it lasts, rather than sacrifice their youth in marriage to a mediocre guy who will still inevitably see her as just as undesirable and used up. I think you have a very extreme view which is not correct or consistent with many men! Sure young women are hotter, so are younger guys from a women’s perspective, at least physically. Did Leo look better in Titanic or nowadays?

What Redpill men resent is a woman getting ran through by a horde of Chads (guys way out of her league), becoming completely delusional, wracking up tonnes of baggage and having to deal Chad’s leftovers:

-massive body count -unable to pair bond as every guy is now just another disposable commodity (how is #23 different to #46 or #87) -having way higher standards for Billy beta (on her looks level) than Chad -expecting men to adhere to traditional standards (provide, protect etc) while she’s unwilling to adhere to female traditional standards etc

I don’t believe that most men feel this way! Most men love their wives and want to stay married, especially if they met “a good woman” who they’ve a family with. Sure as she gets older she won’t be as hot as the new young one but neither will he!

I met my wife while we were both in out 20s and she fit the description of a good traditional wife. We have 2 young kids and I would never consider leaving her for a young one who I would have no connection with just because she’s hot. Despite what some of the redpill grifters preach, most guys want to be happy and married men in general are happier!

Redpill awareness is mainly about not choosing the wrong woman (promiscuous, violent, disrespectful etc) and having standards (as few men had previously) as women do. It’s not about hating women or avoiding them, it’s about finding good ones and ruling out bad ones. Sure the Godfather of the Red-pill, Rolo Tomassi is happily married for 30+ years.

Lastly I believe guys should beware the grifters that try to keep guys lonely so they can plug their course/book etc and do not practice what they preach. E.g Richard Cooper tells men to avoid single mothers yet he exclusively dates single mothers.

I think most guys know the internet is full of grifters.

I mean in a way it's true but also not quite how you put it.

I generally want to start a relationship with someone young... but if prefer it to last rather than trade them in for someone else.

However if it doesn't work out, again I prefer to start something with someone younger.

The other thing is how serious is it? If a girl doesn't bring anything special to the table, I really don't think I have an obligation to commit to her in any way. So it also depends on that. Are you just some schlubby slept with 10 dudes already sometimes is annoying can't cook anything but kraft talks to her ex once in awhile girlfriend? That's the kind of girl who I don't think deserves my commitment or really any mans commitment and I out and out say it. I'll date her if I want and I'll dump her if I want. She's not really of any value so what bozo will promise to be with her forever? Give me a break.
