As much as men talk/complain about how women change the rules for guys they're attracted to, men have no leg to stand on in that regard, either. If a man has two women, one he's attracted to and one who's not as attractive to him, guess which one he's going to make work harder.

For the woman he finds attractive, he'll put up with her flaking, not being consistent, not taking any interest in learning about him, etc. because he thinks that if he at least gets to sleep with her someday, it'll all be worth it.

For the woman he's not as attracted to, it doesn't matter how attentive she is, how compatible she may be, or how much she takes a genuine interest in him, she'll always have to jump through more hoops than a woman who has the looks he wants. Even if that less attractive woman sleeps with him, he'll likely still have his eyes elsewhere and keep the less attractive woman for sex only.

Is it fair? No, but we really need to put to bed this tired talking point about how women treat men they're attracted to vs. men they're not attracted to when men are no better in this regard.
