First off, I'm so inspired by you ladies and grateful for this community. I've been trying to follow FDS to the letter since I discovered it last summer. I definitely continue to make (and learn from) my mistakes, though. Today I had a video chat date with a guy I should have vetted more thoroughly. Our short conversation was incredibly awkward and he sounded very stilted, like he was reciting lines he had memorized. I at first attributed this to social anxiety and tried to overlook it. However, when I asked him about his work, he gave a short summary and then said, "I bet that went right over your head." Ladies, I hung up on him in the same second, then blocked and deleted. I didn't waste an additional second of my time on his condescending ass. I spent like 3 minutes talking to him in total. I am so sick of men talking to me like I'm a child. I told my (borderline pickme) friend about the date, and she reacted like I had been unkind. I wanted to share this with y'all instead because I know you can appreciate how liberating it feels!
