I had exploratory laparoscopic surgery in 2011 to diagnose and remove endometriosis. It took almost a decade to get taken seriously. The amount of doctors, gynos and specialists I saw that told me either my pain was “normal” (even though most of my friends didn’t vomit, pass out or have to be hospitalized for their pain), or that it was in my head, or that I was making it up - obscene. I was only taken seriously when I expressed a concern about it affecting my fertility. (At the time I had no actual plans on having kids.)

Looks like that's a cheat code for getting doctors to take your medical issues seriously if you're a woman. Just say you're planning to have a baby and suddenly they believe your pain is real.

I grew up seeing a lot of adultery ruining marriages, girls getting pumped and dumped, women being abandoned as soon as “Im pregnant” came out her mouth, and my mom’s bff trying to use sex to save her marriage, but all it did was leave her with a kid the now-ex would reluctantly pay child support on. Furthermore, grown men have been approaching my friends and I since age 12. Lastly, I grew up with men also saying “Sex does not equal love. Just will say anything to fuck you.” since the middle school. Hence, sex and love/affection have always been separate to me.

What is your path for organizing political support? You need essentially all men and some women on your side - how do you see that happening when most men either disagree or don’t care and women are turned off by the rhetoric?

Who do you see as being a political champion of this cause? And what would be in it for them? at this point in time it would kill any politicians career.

TBH I don’t think these are inherently terrible ideas, but they are so couched in the misogyny of MRA that it truly cuts off the nose to spite the face. Feminists were able to garner male support because men recognized that their daughters would be better off in a world where they had more economic freedom and were subject to less sexual violence. But the amount of men specifically who would seek out or benefit from routine paternity tests or paper abortions is very low (and most women probably do want to see their sons involved in their grand babies lives regardless of how the son feels about it).

Win more flies with honey guys. If you actually want these things to pass, you need to find a way to appeal to the masses - can’t just complain about how life isn’t fair.

When I was a kid, if I had a shit day at school, or I got bullied or got in trouble or whatever, after school I’d see my mum and her mere presence would fix everything and make me happy and feel better. Being away from her for many days would make me cry just because she wasn’t there.

Now I feel the same way about my girlfriend. Seeing the beautiful smiling face of an angel makes all my stresses and worries disappear. I genuinely literally feel like I’m in pure bliss whenever I’m around her. Just talking to her, spending time with her, talking about stupid things or sharing feelings, makes me feel like in heaven. I got that law internship I told you about, but it ended up being a mail room gig. I looked into apprenticing or even law school while I was doing that. The real issue was the commute, which was Hell. I couldn't do it for the wage I was offered, so I regrouped. I finally have an offer with a place that you would find as interesting as I do. Still, this isn't the same as apprenticing (yet). I wonder if we could work something out? Is this worth discussing? Thanks for listening if nothing else.

Advice for men, who are leveling up and avoiding women until they reach a certain point. I am not sure if there are guys doing that or not. I work in sales, i get a lot of new guys. They want to practice their script until they become good enough, if i don’t push them they just procrastinate and avoid getting their ass out there. Ultimately is the fear of rejection what makes them procrastinate and avoid taking actions.

So my advice keep leveling up, but at the same don’t fear rejection and putting yourself out there in dating. If you wait for a certain point, you may or may not reach it. Then you might convince yourself you will be good enough when you reach this next point and the next.

Believe that you are good enough, while still take accountability of where you want to be.

There's a hilarious microdrama playing out right now at the school where I work. First, the backstory: while we custodians are direct hires, the school contracts out its facility management. The contract, which is up for renewal this year, is currently held by a big multinational corporation and there are rumors it may not be renewed. Perhaps for that reason, our boss has been skimping on restocking supplies the past few months. He blames supply-chain issues, although I suspect he's trying to make his budget numbers look stellar so his employer will keep him on in some capacity in the event the company loses the contract. While I can sympathize, the situation is driving us nucking futz! It's led us to do some non-kosher things, like refilling the soap dispenser cartridges with water when they run out, which is not really ideal during cold, flu and Covid season (although in all honesty, probably fewer than half of the little goblins bother to wash their hands after using the restroom anyway).

When we run out of necessary items, our boss tells us to raid our co-workers' stashes, which does not exactly inspire esprit de corps. Some of us have taken to raiding the bus garage and cafeteria's storerooms. One of my co-workers was chastised after a teacher complained because she had cached boxes of toilet paper in a classroom.

Yesterday we received the monthly shipment and were told that hoarding was strictly prohibited; we were limited to taking no more than two cases of each item. I complied with the rules but my boss evidently sent the dayshift custodian to claw back half of my stash. There are over 30 toilets in my section and I was left with only 3 rolls of toilet paper with which to restock for the next month.

I can't help but laugh over the banality of this predicament, even though it will probably be my ass in a sling in a couple of weeks when the high school principal doesn't have anything with which to wipe his!

Some people love to assume that the majority of women in third-world countries are either victims of sex tourism or evil gold diggers who are looking for green cards. With this assumption, it is then easy to paint western men who look for gf in those countries as either predators or fools who fall for scams.

At this point, I wonder whether people use this type of the argument out of ignorance or malice.

Also, lol @ anti-trans legislature, the “don’t say gay” bill only applies to 3rd grade and under and just says teachers can’t indoctrinate kids with gender politics. I wanted to share an anecdote with you guys who love analyzing social/dating dynamics. I have plenty of friends irl, at least 3 different circles I hang out with consistently. Mostly guys though of course because I'm an engineer and I met all of them via work or gym.

One of my friend's gf's (they met on Cringe) invited me to her lake house for a BBQ. Awesome, get to spend the day grilling, chilling, listening to music and swimming.

I'm not kidding - every single person in attendance (except her and my friend, the hosts) were single guys.

This wasn't a dating app, or a shifty nightclub. I have plenty of stories like this but this has been my experience socializing ater college. Sausage fests everywhere I go.

But I'm completely cynical of the "go meet people irl! :)" advice for dating.

I think dating apps made it so women don't really have to put themselves out there irl. Why put on make up and risk getting groped / assaulted / creeped on when you can stay inside. And when and if you want you can download your 6'1" boyfriend with the pet of your choice off the internet.

Don't get me wrong though, you should still socialize without the expressed purpose of finding a mate. If Inc*ls / shut-ins did this their happiness level would increase tenfold.

Let me give you a hint ladies. The reason you struggle to find HVM is that they are as afraid of the LVM as you are.

The same way LVM hound you about dating is the same way LVM hound HVM about money or getting into Harvard or how to not be a drug addict and so on. All of my self made millionaire friends just hide in rich expensive cities where more broke people cant afford to be there.

I know women don’t like to hear this but you have to search out HVM as much as you can, they are already 22 year old millionaires who have the time and money to visit you wherever you are. And unlike you the HVM don’t automatically have an army of girlfriends to help them out, the HVM are on their own - if they want to be as successful in life as the average woman - and it is going to stay that way.

You all heard of the idea that couples are healthier when they communicate.

But have you heard that couples are healthier when they shut the fuck up? I think that everyone's feelings are probably invalid. I think that everyone is very bad with verbal communication and opening it up will make it all worse. I think you should learn to do things through action and body language, it worked for me to unverbalize things to seduce women, it still works for me to unverbalise things for my couple's health. Everytime I forget it shit hit the fan real quick.

IDK if this has ever been coined by RPW or TRP, or if it's that pair of american lawyers, but seriously just shut the fuck up, don't give attention to your feelings, burry them inside of yourself, don't give other people nitpicking material by clumsily verbalizing your brain farts, don't reward whatever you don't like but only in actions and body language. That also works with your boss.

Also that obviously makes any LDR a fool errand, if you didn't know, LDR are shit, never do LDR.
