I don't really like the idea of large numbers of men checking out of society. We are already seeing this in Japan and I'm curious how it pans out long term.

Men realize work is for families and give up. Maybe working part time to contribute as little as possible? I'm kinda going through this stage. Not sexless, but without kids to support I'm questioning why even bother with full time work.

On a large scale this probably isn't good for society, although great for the individual. I guess women can go work, but how long before childless women get tired of that bullshit too?

We've certainly seen rise of discontent, depression and similar psychological and social issues. You can see that moderation and centrism are becoming dirty words now; this leads to various excesses in private/public/economical and political lives.

There's nearly infinite negative consequences, lets take just one, decrease in marriage rates for younger populations, which then increases basically everything from obesity to inflation of social safety nets, to rise in crime, increase in wealth inequality, mental issues.... it just goes down the line.

But here's the real problem, if people are unable to see this happenning IRL, its only because they exist in this immediate moment, and are unable to see the past which also stops them from seeing the future. They're unable to think in terms of systems where one small excess or scarcity in one area propagates very widely across every other aspect of our lives.

If those men come to the conclusion that it is hopeless, various unfortunate things could happen:

men could downgrade their lifestyle (stop trying to make as much money and try to make themselves more happy with more free time and more meaningful work). This would mean fewer things would be created and built and an economic slowdown. The amount of money collected in tax would decrease. The average living standard would drop, and social programs would be reduced.
men might commit suicide in greater numbers
men might commit violence in greater numbers (spurred by a childish mindset of: "Society doesn't care about me. I don't care about society.")

The result is likely to be anger, frustration, and men dropping out of being productive members of society because they can't get a basic need met. None of those things are going to happen the issue the real issue about motivation for participation in society.

Generally speaking men don't like society and only interact with it because there is a potential benefit, most men see and I think rightly so the society really wants three things from them: money, labor, or in the worst-case scenario their life in some military campaign.

Basic the ideology of "society is not good for me, it expects goods from me."

That's why anarchist red or yellow are overwhelmingly male. In the past we have used concepts of personal/familyHonor or nationalism but that is kind of falling out of favor. In the current time the way that we motivate men really everyone in society is a mix of a belief in risings oneself up in the social hierarchy via capital and access to members of the opposite sex.

Money for a lot of men actually isn't that great of a motivator. I find men generally don't really care for money one way or the other is really what the money can buy them what's the security of knowing that you don't have to depend on someone. In the modern Western World and even outside of the West in the world if you are healthy and frugal that is Sustainable without making much.

So for many the motivation to participate in society is sex. With sex becoming more difficult or impossible for some the desire to enter society; have children, participate in the political system, defend the nation (theoretically), etc.

I read a really sad article the other day about the shortage of women in India and China (the 2 largest nations) and how men esp in rural area are coping with loneliness and depression, shame for not having a wife, putting all of their money into building a house so they can attract a wife, etc. OOH I think, well both cultures are historically pretty oppressive to women, so maybe this has made things more equal for women who no longer have to be house slaves to men they don’t want (and the men are rethinking how they view women and their purpose/value). OTOH I couldn’t help feeling for these men.

And I think given the high number of men from India and China who have found their way to this sub as of late it explains a lot of what we’re reading here every day. It sounds like misogyny, and some of it is, but some of it is just a defense mechanism. I’m not excusing it, just explaining what I think is the dynamic.

It’s not a big societal problem. However, for these individuals it is a psychological issue because having an affectionate relationship is good for your mental health.

Theres not a "rule", but not having sex despite wanting to leads to trendemous frustration/anxiety, its psychlogically on the level of social ostracization. Realistically, their political support for Feminism and Equality would evaporate, and they would actively use whatever power they have left to rectify this circumstance (i.e. stop hiring women or voting for pro-Feminist candidates). All jokes aside, that is a possibility. I'd imagine that if large swaths of men are left out of the dating/mating pool, rape would become more common. Per my last recent post on evolutionary psychology, I'm going to make a post in the future from info in my university text book that does include content about rape being an evolutionary adaptive response to sexual deprivation or lack of ability to find sex.

The other solution is that men force society to return to the way it was before the Women's Rights Movement of the 60's.

What about basic empathy? A minimum amount of empathy would already be sufficient to make you care. Sex is at the level of food, water and sleep in Maslows pyramid for a good reason. Technically, this is not a societal problem it’s a men problem and a men problem only. The ONLY way it will EVER become a societal problem is if the lower tier men quit women and marriage en masse. And that is just NOT ever going to happen.

I’m 45 and will be 46 this year and I used to chase pussy like a lion going after a gazelle. However, plenty of negative experiences and rational introspective thought led me to realizing that I’m pretty much one of the members of that “bottom 80%” of men that are invisible to women. Anger, denial, hatred......pretty much all the emotions you expect that to engender pervaded my thoughts for years.

Then about 5 years ago.....acceptance. Even at the high point of my physical conditioning it still did not matter. That upper 20% is reserved for a certain kind of guy.....and I was finally ok with that. I did not HAVE to have interaction of a romantic or sexual nature with women and the sun would still rise the next day and life would go on. Today, 5 years later, I am now at the point of indifference. If the whole system collapses and women end up back like they were before suffrage, I don’t care. If other men ruin their lives in the pursuit of pussy, I don’t care. Whatever happens I don’t care.

However, the reason this will NEVER be a societal problem is because those “bottom 80%” of men will have to reach the same point.....and that’s just not going to happen. The societal brainwashing is just too strong for that to happen. And that’s why this will never be a societal problem

Let's be real if 80% of men didn't have family and kids the suicide rate for men would be much higher. It would be a problem. I dont think sexlessness is that huge of a deal. I personally think that society plays up how much men want sex to some extent. But being a guy I'm horny everyday, this is not some societal thing, I think society may exacerbate it but that horniness is biological for sure. I cant go a day without thinking about sex, if I didn't get it I would for sure be going crazy.

I think maybe these guys just need help getting a goal they can work for and maybe changing what expectation of made for guys. Telling men they can't have sex is like telling women they can't have children. You're essentially removing their biological purpose for being alive. Yeah, they can live without it, but psychological problems are bound to come.

Not enough young to replace the old in the work place
weaker work ethics
physically weaker population
lack of ambition to do more in the economy
not enough tax dollars being collected to support the retirees and other social programs
government sponsored interventions to promote mingling of the young folks
goverment pumping money into the economy to stop it from collapsing.
50% of young men and women going months without sex( no children being born)
women having to swallow their own insecurities to chase men.

Where is this rule that says every single man has a God given right to have access to some womans vagina?

It's literally the first societal contract ever made and the reason for the creation of civilization. Monogamous marriage, each man puts in work to help the civilization and in turn he is promised a women that he'd have progeny with, without that social contract society is bound for revolution. But that isn't the "issue" so to speak. In this case, it's that men, due to the sexual revolution, now see having pre-marital sex as a must and pre-marital sex is starting to replace that original societal contract, instead of being promised a women to have progeny with, men now think, due to porn and the promiscuity of women, they are bound to have sex.

And you might go "Men shouldn't think that" but guess what, men don't want to date women who've had 400 sexual partners, especially if they have none. The issue is that we are going to see a large portion of men and women who will not have that contract fulfilled (and this is more of a worry about the men) as if the societal contract falls through, revolution occurs. There's a reason why polygamy is one of the greatest pitfalls of third world countries and leads to high military involvement and war. The men will go back to their most base instinct to reproduce, which will be to fight for it

Essentially you get what you get. If a man can get laid by 10 women in a given year good for him. He is of the top percentage that can do that. The issue is society not women.

Man whinges about lack of sex.

Blue--pill culture (following feminims lead) screeches: You're not entitled to sex!

Man says: Well, duh. I'm just not happy.

I say: Stop winging about lack of sex. Blue Pill society does not like to hear this whinging. It's a reminder of the innate cruelty of the mating arena. It's NOT designed for fun nor to give EVERYBODY a chance to get laid and EVERYBODY a chance to make babies. Far more women than men will go on to have children. This is how humans have naturally evolved, physically, physiologically and socially so that we have optimized our odds of continuation. In fact, whinging is a form of sexual suicide in the arena. Quitting is not tolerated. All men must compete and lose, no matter how frequent and humiliating it becomes. He must face scarcity so that females can have an abundance of choice. Women need to reject 95% of men. The 95% have a role to play. Accept it, swallow the red pill, and one day the anger that ensues will pass. Think of it like a bad scorpion bite with a 3 year fever. After the fever is gone, you will see clearly and no longer hate anyone or anything about the mating arena. You will accept it as it is, and you will accept yourself as you are, and either you will change yourself, or you won't.

If you're going to navigate through a blue pill world, or system with that world, you must follow blue pill rules. Let the shame of the mating arena guide you, as shame is it's most powerful weapon. Getting called creep alot? Reason for that. Lost another job for approaching women at work? Reasons. Can't seem to find someone you find attractive? Reasons. Friends telling you that you are too picky? Reason.

Also, don't forget that there are THOUSANDS of nice looking ladies that will give you two hours of their time for $200. Although blue-pill society also has shame in store for men who resort to this, if you do it quietly and just shut up about it, nobody is the wiser. Coming into the mating arena and saying "Stop chasing guys! Just pay for it!" What reaction do you expect? It's like telling a golpher he's an idiot for not walking up to the little hole and dropping the ball in.

The questions I’ve been asking myself is, why? If this study is valid, which is questionable, then why is it happening? We place the blame squarely on women though they are a part of it. We can, however, investigate the structural mechanisms to reveal the root cause of many of the problems men face in the 21st century. My theory here is that men not getting any has more to do with socioeconomic challenges than it does with women. But that’s just a guess. Perhaps if we take the time to figure out why (qualitative studies) this is happening, we’d that it’s a symptom of a larger problem worth fighting.

Humans have a biological drive to reproduce and people should be able to be with other people.

That said, there some people who emotionally and psychologically can't be in relationships because they're toxic people. Anyone with a kind heart should be able to be happy and relationships are a part of that for many people.
