That quote has always been horseshit. Society is just way more accepting of men's natural ageing and isn't selling magazines and gazillions of products trying to blur or shame any of their natural features, that's it. I know teenage guys who already had lines on their forehead and undereyes because they don't give a rat's ass about moisturizing or using sunscreen and drink like they're a barrel to store that beer, but nobody would point those out and they won't be stressed about those lines, would they? I'm 19 and some beauty store employees have literally dragged me across the stores just to show me wrinkle prevention serums and creams. To a nineteen year old. People are evil to women. Too young and inexperienced and nobody will listen to you (but you bet they'll be creepily obsessed with your youth!) when you're prepubescent, and the moment you're in your twenties and ahead they constantly remind you of your "shelf life" and biological clock.
