Sure, the only one who really have a super easy life are hot women. For them, its a breeze. Every other member of the chain above does struggle. I doubt that the daily struggles of the average women and the average men are this different when it comes to finances, job, adult stuff, social interactions and generally surviving in this hectic stream of stress that is our modern life.

But when it comes to dating, women have an huge advantage, no doubt about it. Even they admit it. I talked to three different women in three different occasions and they all said: Yes women have it a lot easier when it comes to dating. So if you mix all of this together, I will say: Women on average have it easier. They have the same struggles yet more advantages. And there are definitely more women living life on easy mode than men.

I think that a lot of people in a first world country, live life on easy mode and that includes the men.

Do we ever have to worry about food? No, not really. Water? No. Shelter? No. And offcourse I'm talking about first world here within the context of an advanced country, not the war.

Like, these men here are complaining about the lack of finding available women to date and marry and have kids with and if the only missing piece of that puzzle is the woman, that's easy mode. There's like one thing you are struggling with after checking every other box.

So yeah, as a woman in a first world country, I do live life on easy mode. Let's bring this minimum to everyone else before complaining about luxury items.

Perhaps, if life was only about sex and getting laid. But it isn't and most women don't value hookups like men do so if you're a woman and therefore get sex easier, it doesn't actually give you anything positive as it would for a man.

I don't think so. I think like anything it depends on the context for that particular person.

Like I will freely admit that for me, life is on easy mode. Other than commuting which I hate, there is very little day-to-day stress in my life. But I designed it that way. I also have a very low threshold and tolerance for stress after a violent and abusive childhood.

On the other hand, I think women who are moms have it worse today in many ways. Studies show they spend more time with their kids than they did in the 60s on average, and that's truly remarkable when you consider that they also are usually in the paid workforce. They also are still forced to do the majority of the housework and cooking. They're really stretched thin. Just last night I was out for my pal's birthday and we ladies there were having a conversation about the 20s vs. the 30s, and there was a mom of two small children there who mentioned that in her 30s she has had to put herself last most of the time. Those of us women there who hadn't had them were having very different experiences in our 30s and really preferred them to our 20s by a large margin.

So I think it's important to recognize that there isn't a uniform experience for women. A woman who is 22 and single and just finished university and a mom of 2 at age 40 are having very different life experiences.

It's an interesting question, by the way.

I (F19) think if you’re a woman who likes playing into society’s standards for women, life’s pretty easy. Well maybe not EASY, but definitely gentler than a lot of other realities.

However, I don’t have to work hard to be seen as attractive and am at an age where I am desired by most men. If I chose to play into expectations for me, find a wealthy man, get a fairly easy job and raise a family, it would not be difficult at all.

I think the hard part comes with when you want to play a different role than the one you’re expected to. After a lot of relationship experience, I no longer want to be monogamous. After being tied down to farm animals and dependent younger siblings, I don’t want the responsibility or commitment of children. I am completely sure that this is what I want and will not change, but I know I’m still going to get comments telling me my mind will change. I’m going to continue to encounter men who are only attracted to the challenge of “fixing me.” I’m going to continue to be called a bitch and a whore, and it’s going to be used to discredit anything that I contribute to the world.

I think my point is that a life of playing to the standards set for white women in America is easy, but dealing with the consequences of breaking them is hell.

I think women have it hard still, because they are held to a higher standard in society, and anything they do, definitely gets criticized by everyone. We don't hold men to a higher standard.

If you look at women and men in a first world country who are genetically above-average looking, financially stable, and don’t have severe issues outside of that, this group typically lives life on easy mode compared to others. They’ll reap the more of the benefits of being a woman or a man. There will always be someone doing better than a single one of them, but the ones doing better are a smaller part of the population. However, bad things can still happen to them.

For the average ones, women and men have some advantages and disadvantages that can affect them depending on your priorities.

Those who are genetically unattractive or poor will probably reap less of the benefits of being a woman or a man and the downsides may be even more intense.

Hiring quotas, special grants/bursaries, etc for only women, family court, comparative suicide rates, comparative homelessness rates, crime stats, average life expectancy, top 10 most dangerous jobs being 85% or more males, discrepancy between sentencing males and females during crimes, etc....would all indicate women have it easier then men.

I'm in the UK where the gap between rich and poor is less pronounced and here too, class is a big factor in living standards and outlook. Hell, we had a decades long scandal involving Muslim gangs raping and trafficking underage white girls. You would think it would be a massive scandal considering how everyone hates pedophiles, but it was largely ignored. They claim its because the police didn't want to appear racist but, in truth, its because police didn't (and doesn't) give a fuck about poor, working/underclass girls in the care system. A million government reports say the same thing.

The thing guys get twisted is PANDERING. They assume because western society largely panders to female sensibilities that it suddenly means western women have it easy. It's also where a lot of women get it twisted and where "the wall" theory espoused be redpillers make sense. Our society doesn't value women, it values female youth and beauty. The moment these women, who live lives dependent on the male gaze, turn 35 or so they begin to learn how men aren't actually catering to them for them but largely for sexual access. And once younger women hit the scene, those same men quickly lose interest.

I see similar parallels with race. Watch TV/adverts and every other doctor, engineer and scientist is black. Being a senior software engineer myself, I can count the amount of black people I run into on the field. And I've worked for some household names who've run plenty of these ridiculous adverts themselves.

Yes, women's lives are better in the west compared to say, Afghanistan or Nigeria. But ao is everyone else's. That's largely due to the west's hegemonic economic monopoly and it's strict adherence to liberal democracy and the rule of law. We don't treat women better because we are inherently better people but because there is consequence for negative behaviour.

an attractive woman, probably somewhat in certain ways. but even average looking women will still be considered more by others than an average looking man i suspect. super attractive guys are rare but they probably also get lots of special treatment. it's all about the looks. suddenly people just want to give you things, in the hopes of being able to possess you even briefly.

i'm not sure it makes life "easy mode" overall, like everyone still has issues regardless of gender. but in certain aspects, women might have advantages when it comes to output vs input (like, what they need to do/produce in order to gain resources). though men have the advantage of not being targeted as potential assault victims as often. actually there are many different types of pros and cons when it comes to being born as either a man or woman. it's quite funny really.

it also depends on the individual. maybe a woman has opportunities but doesn't really want to take them for various reasons. maybe she lives in a small town and doesn't have as much exposure to rich dudes willing to dote on her. but then again...anyone can make an onlyfans nowadays lol. men probably need to work harder for money especially if they weren't born into it. men also don't have thousands of women waiting in-line to shower them with money (or sexual favors, would that be an even better compensation in the eyes of men? xd) usually, like there are very few men like that and they're usually very high in social status. a man is usually lucky if he even has a parent that cares about him enough to help him financially. and financial stability is important and plays into mental stability as well for most people.

when it comes to many aspects of life that involves other people, being attractive, and especially an attractive woman, or just a woman in general too, can often override other types of qualifications. this might be because of someone favoring certain characteristics and the halo effect, or, possibly giving women advantages out of fear that they will be "cancelled" somehow if they don't, which is a very real phenomenon.

those advantages will start to dissipate as age happens and looks get lost. women seem to often struggle with becoming invisible especially if they were really invested in their identities beforehand, where they didn't really recognize their entitlement. people should look at things like this as very temporary solutions and don't count on them forever because those advantages aren't something innate and a product of appreciation and love by fellow humanity. those advantages come from very shallow places and will disappear into shallow water before you know it. i personally take every opportunity i can to better my life in simple ways and don't see why i should feel sorry for it. christmas every day!!!

Then what about women who "live on easy mode" but have mental health issues or childhood trauma. Is that still easy mode? Maybe easier mode for beautiful woman than less attractive woman because of the halo effect, but is it easy if a beautiful woman has to have sex with someone in exchange for housing? In a country where our human rights can easily be stripped at any time, how are their lives “easier?” Women had to create their own safety nets because law makers did not care. Had to fight hard for rights to own land, bank accounts, wear whatever we want, hold down whatever job/career we want, and get taken seriously in terms of our healthcare. We still have to jump through hoops just to get our tubes tied or otherwise choose sterilization without a man’s opinion. Thousands of women die during childbirth every year because so many doctors don’t understand their pain. Don’t even get me started on domestic and sexual violence; hardly anyone believes victims regardless of their sex. Does this even take into account lesbians, FTM trans people, women “of color” (hate that phrase but still), Native and Indigenous women, impoverished women, military women, women in the sex industry, and other marginalized groups this topic obviously disregards? 🙄

Let's just count how much evidence we have in favor and against this notion; for simplicity, let's throw away everything "apexy", like college attendance, luxury goods and services consumption, becoming a billionaire through inheritance or divorce, and everything related to dating, because the results would be obvious (we're deliberately leaving out 4 points). I'm also generously willing to overlook such things as both joint colleges AND separate prisons existing for women's convenience, same as certain (i.e. most) sports competitions existing only in "mixed" and "female" categories, or women constituting the absolute blocking majority of voters in every modern Western democracy. Which would, if I counted them, count as three advantages. Plus four mentioned before.

Against:

women require certain specific hygienic products,

are more likely to live in poverty,

more likely to be sexually assaulted,

suffer from domestic violence,

suffer from mental disorders,

take medications against mental conditions (generously counting as a separate case),

and suffer from the burden that reproduction puts on their bodies and minds (generously counting as two).

Eight. I consider all debatable, but for the sake of argument, as an insane courtesy, I'm willing to assume all as true.

Two things I left out are "muh wage gap" and "muh nipples". I'm feeling like I already wrote a book on both and not willing to repeat myself for the sake of newly-arrived 14-year-olds with feminist English teacher.

In favor:

women have significantly lower mortality in every age group for every reason except a chosen handful (generously counting as one);

are less likely to be incarcerated even when racial and socioeconomic backgrounds work against them; less likely to suffer injury or die while incarcerated (generously counting as one);

less likely to suffer any form of stranger violence except sexual (generously counting as one);

require less beverages, calories, proteins, and all micronutrients except calcium to stay alive and healthy (generously counting as one);

are less likely to suffer a workplace injury or death (generously counting both as one);

EIGHTEEN times less likely to suffer a fatal injury from police brutality (greater disparity than between male and female murderers);

have several pathways wealth (in form of money, goods, and services) is redistributed in their favor as a group (from men) and only a pathetic handful of ways their wealth is redistributed away, usually in favor of other women, not men (generously counting as one);

can apply for physically demanding jobs under reduced fitness standards.

Things I left out are .... numerous. VERY numerous. Schools, family courts, suicides, alcoholism, drug addiction and overdoses... and I also generously combined several points into broader categories. STILL ended up with the same eight. Actually fifteen, but I'm being generous.

Seriously, there's simply nothing to discuss. To quote one podcaster I enjoy, "women's only proof they're oppressed is that they don't rule the world. It's because you fucking can't."

I've read some responses here and I think people are trying to give answers that encompass all people, which doesn't get anyone anywhere IMO.

Let's imagine an average woman and an average man in a first world country, and ignore outliers.

AFAIK, women are going to universities more. There are studies showing that in first world countries, female academic hypogamy is already happening, i.e. highly educated women are marrying guys who aren't as formally educated as they are.

From a professional and academic standpoint, I'd say that the average woman has more advantages, because of the many policies about "inclusion" and "diversity".

From a social standpoint, I believe that the average woman tends to have a stronger support group than the average man. Single women are happier than single men. It's very common to see men complaining about loneliness. There are business nowadays that depend completely on male loneliness, e.g. many streamers.

When it comes to dating, I don't think I even need to say who has an advantage, right? lol

Some people mentioned rape. Which yeah, is a risk that women have to face more when walking alone on the streets than men. But men are the majority of victims of violent non-sexual crimes, so...

By the way, I'm from Brazil, not a first world country. From my POV, people from first world countries are all privileged as fuck. I earn more than 99% of the people in my country, but my annual salary is below the average USA salary by many thousands of dollars, LMAO.

Anyway, I'd argue that the average woman is more privileged than the average man in first world countries, but not by much.

If men and women are both in the classes that do not need to engage in physical labour (i.e. they're "middle class" and above) and their material needs are largely met (i.e. most Americans) then having a social advantage (as most women do) is a huge quality of life improvement. Women are more desired, safer, and supported more socially and educationally than men. So yes they do have it easier.

If we're talking about the lower classes then it's more of a wash. It's a bit easier for men find labour that pays above minimum wage and physical abuse/danger is elevated in these classes for women and they have less access to institutional support aimed at women (they still have access to better shelters and social care generally).

Also I think the "first world"/"third world" dichotomy is a little exaggerated in general. Most people in the world get their basic needs met and aren't living in desperate poverty and risk of starvation. It's really (generalizing) Sub Saharan Africa and few Central/South American and SEA countries that are in truly awful shape. For most of the rest of the world it's more of a degree of material plenty separating the average developed world from the developing world rather than fundamentally different lifestyles because of poverty.

It always depends on what winning looks like. I’d define it as achieving a career that enables you to become financially independent, and college stats suggest women have the edge.

women are disproportionately more likely to go to college, get help in accomplishing that, etc. But on the other hand, some will argue that men have less of a need and/or desire to attend college due to having more available paths to decent earnings that don't require college.

Most women who go to college learn no useful skills there. They don't go on to become, say, petroleum engineers or diesel mechanics, although a small number do. They study for clerical jobs of little value to society, or they staff the HR department and become a plague on the land, destroying value. Women's lives are physically easier today than their sisters of long ago, but women tend to be intensely concerned with what might be called "positional goods" that are inherently restricted only to a minority., such as a high status alpha male husband, for example.

As the status of women has improved the status of men has declined, thus desirable men are short supply. In this sense, the modern woman has it harder than her sisters of long ago.

Easy mode is a relative view.

In a first world country most of the population has the basic necessities covered.

The population also has been fed a myth of meritocracy. "Work hard and you get far"

Now reality looks very different.
There are quotas for females in all kinds of position.

Tinder makes Sex be a few clicks away for women, while for men easy sex requires hundreds of dollars spend on hookers.

Divorce is such a one sided game that phrases like "the first marriage is for money, the second for love" started to appear.

Go online and count the amount of support groups for men vs the ones for women.

Or look at Ukraine where women where permitted to flee, while men where forced to stay. get shot at and die. (Both get to decide politics of the country, but only one has to die for it)

Domestic violence cases have been highlighted by the most recent Johnny Depp trial.

This follows the legal system in general where the same crime leads to vastly different sentences between men and women.

Being in your mid 20s or 30s and living with your parents makes a guys a failure societies eyes and undesirable to start a relationship with. There is no such view of a women in the same circumstances.

Lastly you can look at the "6 figures, 6 feet, 6 inches" idiocy that goes around and try to find something similar for women that is as wide spread. Also note that 2 of the 3 requirements are purely genetic. Now try asking guys what their requirements for a girlfriend are.

Being a women 18 to 30 that’s in the top 20% of looks in first world countries is like on easy mode… but keep in mind many choose to work for themselves and not just be given everything or provided for in adulthood, and many just aren’t connected to the young wealthy men who could just provide them everything in exchange fro their beauty so they have no choice unless they go into things like Onlyfans, use the internet to pimp out their own bodies to… countless strangers.
