Celebrities and the ultra rich live by different rules than you and I. Kim Kardashian is a great example of this. She has been married multiple times and has her ex husband begging her to reunite despite what everybody knows about her. It goes against everything discussed here. Women don't want to share a man. they think they are special and with them he will stop. He doesn't, and onto the next, who will have to learn the hard way, until he maybe gets too old or too tired or too broke and stays with the last one, or lives alone. A lot of people also think having step kids is normal, that though he has kids with others, now, they'll be a real family. People also fall in love with others, or think they are in love with them, especially if they have attractive qualities or know how to schmooze, or manipulate people, only to be dumped later. Some just want the money and the 5 seconds of fame. I would say most of these women were living in a fantasy they would have happily ever after, or wanted the money. They are also a particular type of women, not all, or most women. Nick Cannon is anecdotal evidence that some women want this, or more likely delude themselves into thinking it's something it's not, than the smoking gun you think it is. Money and Status, looks, they can and usually are "attraction triggers". Doesn't mean they are the only ones, or that others aren't necessary for the majority of women and for the majority of women to be happy. Money and status's appeal wear off quick when the guy is an ***hole. It's kind of funny, RP men talk about money and status to the exclusion of personality, like really good personality, not just manipulative "game", and yet, despite money and status being the focus, so few ever bother to truly work towards it, much less achieve it. I have never understood the appeal of Nick Cannon. I don’t mean from a attractiveness/gold digger perspective, I mean from an entertainment perspective.

Amongst all the various cast members of All That, why exactly did he get his own spin-off show and why is he arguably the most successful of the bunch? At least Amanda Bynes was arguably the most popular girl of the cast and her own sketch show can be entertaining. Kenan & Kel had such natural chemistry together, both in their sketches and in their spin-off sitcom.

But Nick Cannon? I can’t recall one sketch or recurring character in which he was ever funny or entertaining. His spin-off show failed so hard you can’t even get all of the episodes on iTunes. His daytime talk show ended after just ONE season. So why is it that Hollywood keeps giving him work and hosting duties? Are you telling me there isn’t ANYONE else that can do what he’s doing?

You can find people who are willing to do all sorts of weird stuff if you offer the right incentives (money). Most women marry average men and have 1-2 kids with them. This is not normal and says nothing about the average woman. All it proves is that if a rich guy wants to have a bunch of kids with different women, he can find enough women who are willing to do it. I’m sure you could also find several men willing to do something weird like live in a poly relationship with some rich woman, so long as they were taken care of financially. Doesn’t mean “many” men naturally want to do this.

I think the nature and quality of their relationships is key here. Money alone is not enough for most women. For example, a man can have lots of money, but not be compatible in other areas of life (emotional, intellectual, physical etc.), and the women (using myself as an example) would make the decision to find a more suitable mate. I do realize that financial stability and wealth is attractive to most people and your partner having a lot of money may supersede some other aspects of a relationship, but it seems that you are ignoring other aspects that may make them more content with being with a man that has multiple partners.

I recently saw an interview of one of the ladies, she is also open to dating other people. Polyamory is part of their relationship. She also claimed that she is happy with their relationship and that he is a good dad.

I think most women would choose those qualities for their relationship, it’s probably a plus that he’s good looking, successful in his craft, and financially stable.

Long story, but I had an offer from a married guy to be his mistress. I'd emotionally fallen for him so it was very tempting. And if it had been a relationship which he publicly acknowledged, and I would have played a visible and meaningful part in his life (alongside his wife), I would definitely have done it.

But: (a) That was very specific to him, because of how I felt things for him emotionally. (b) Yes, he was rich. Although it wasnt necessarily his wealth that attracted me. It was that he had the drive to get where he got to professionally and the ability to achieve what he did in life. If he lost everything financially, I would still have wanted to be with him. Because of who he was. (c) I had a later offer from a man to be a secondary partner to him. Even though he offered a secondary role which would have been visible and meaningful (unlike the first guy), I had zero interest because I had no feelings for him.

Anyway, the original guy just wanted a secret mistress to have sex on the side with. Sooooo not my thing, so never happened.

Throughout all of this, though, I would say that I recognise that as a woman, my feelings on this are very very very rare.
