It's the kind of adjective that, when used, says far more about the person saying it than whatever he's actually talking about. I can't think of any non-creepy application of it or really any legitimate reason to use it at all.

I did have to agree with someone when they were talking about how shitty dating advice is from boomers.

In a way, boomers are the reason why feminists gained so much power over the past decade or so. They got too comfortable in their current dating markets and by the time the power structure had fully shifted towards women and the one percent of men, they were already out of the dating market. They come from and see the dating market from a blue-pilled perspective where the power imbalance was a bit more in mens' favor. The perspective is why they usually see women as the victims and are so generous with them.

It won't be long before feminists get too comfortable with their power (which I think they already have) and parents will view the dating market through a black-pilled lense in which women have almost all of the power and average men are the victims.

An example of how things are now: college girls with boomer parents spend thousands on skincare products with their parents' money and the parents will complain about it for a while but then just brush it off as "just a young girl being high maintenance" or "they're just doing it because they're pressured so by men" She could literally get lip fillers and breast implants and people will still brush it off

If a college guy were to run a very light cycle of test and anavar (I honestly don't know too much, just read some stuff on the interwebs), he would instantly be demonized for having body dysmorphia and will be told he needs serious psychiatric help and is extremely insecure. People would not brush it off so easily. If he even talked about getting plastic surgery of any sort, he would be instantly laughed at.

I guess we'll wait and see what happens when the black pill generation has their kids hitting puberty and entering the dating market themselves.

Apparently my third-world hellhole's law considers psychological and verbal aggression by men against women to be more grave than it would be in any other context. Surely it's just not me that think it makes no sense at all? I understand doing it with physical attack, since men are naturally bigger and stronger than women and in this way one evens the ground by protecting the weaker against the stronger, but aren't both genders equally capable of committing verbal and psychological attacks?

(In my experience women are actually better at it, but I don't know if there's any studies showing that women are better at/engage more in things like name-calling, rumor-spreading, gaslighting, shouting, throwing and breaking stuff and so on).

I had an old memory suddenly occur to me.

I was at a bar with a firepit in the back, and was sitting there with some friends among a decent crowd. There were only a few chairs, and a small group with few girls walked up when one of these girls, visibly tipsy, made some comment about there being no seats and then she literally sat in my lap, uninvited.

This was in my early beta days, and I remember being totally taken aback, and I froze up. Maybe two or three minutes later, she got up and walked away. Later after we left, one of my female friends in our group looked at me like I was a dipshit and said "why didn't you talk to her?"

I kick myself now, because, knowing what I do now, I could've made something happen. But in the moment I was borderline offended at the forwardness. I can't imagine myself ever being that (and I hate using this word) entitled.

But it's the kind of opportunity most incls and shy dudes dream of having.

It might be too soon to tell for sure, but my break is over and I have to go back to work so:

My thread on mild-moderate mental illness being a dealbreaker for women has further solidified my stance that by and large, Reddit women and real women are two entirely divergent subgroups.

About half of the responses so far have been "no - not a dealbreaker". I'd say that's a normal response. The other half are saying yes, absolutely - and in fact, men with mental illnesses (even mild) are weak, defective, repulsive, unmasculine, and undateable.

Needless to say, this is the complete opposite of my experience with women in real life.

I myself have a mild mental illness - OCD which I take a daily med for (no side effects), spend about 20 mins meditating in the morning, and take about 30 mins to lock and check the downstairs windows and doors before bed each night.

I have been with a lot of women, and as I frequently discuss on here - a fair few of them have been quite toxic in terms of policing masculinity. One, for example, if she had a drink in her, would lean out of my car window and scream "FAGGOT" at men in the street who were wearing boat shoes/pedal pushers/cardigans. Pretty toxic behaviour for a grown woman, right?

But even she was fine with my condition and how I handled it. Her attitude was "...? Yeah idgaf do whatever you need to do - as long as it doesn't affect me we're gravy".

There are some normal people here, of course. But wow - my advice is to take any of the extreme stuff you read on this sub with such a large dose of salt you'd immediately have a stroke. Real people can be terrible, but for the most part they don't act like they do on here.

When you parse through all the anger and bullshit, I think most men really just want a script or guideline for how they can have a woman in their life that the man can make happy. Some way that the man can feel needed, but without the match being obviously unfair in terms of the woman being way lower value than him and/or the man having to work way harder than her. In the past, there was much more of a script. Perhaps it was secretly bullshit and the women did not really like many of the men they paired with, but to the men, it seemed like it worked.

And the problem women are having is that they honestly don't know the answer to the men's question right now. Women are still exploring what they want and what makes them happy in a radically new environment. And deep down, many women are coming to suspect that the answer, for many men, may be that there is no script with the terms you envision, because many of you may be becoming obsolete and unnecessary to the women who are your counterparts in terms of relative ranks in the given genders. You don't make our lives better at equal amounts of effort.
