I remember when a guy who was like 35 and a divorced single dad was trying to roast a lady he knew who was 33 for being on a matchmaking website who was never married and never had kids. He was trying to warn women and use her as a cautionary example to settle for a man young or else they will have to consult matchmakers and no one will ever want them. And he was DIVORCED and a SINGLE DAD. Watched a review of the barbie movie by a youtuber from my home country, so it's not in English. Haven't seen the movie, but I will probably watch it now, it seems fun. Either way, apparently there is a "female monologue" in the movie which is about the societal pressures on women and the contradictory things about it, and how that sucks. The guy said that it's understandable that men (Ken) didn't quite get the same treatment in this movie, that it wasn't the focus, but still, he made a "male monologue" in a similar vein at the end of the video. And in the comments, everybody loved it, including a ton of women. That was actually quite nice to see. I honestly think that 10 years ago women would have been quite a bit more resistant to something like that, I still think there is actual slow progress in regards to men's issues.

So today I rewatched that part right after I woke up and I'm in a pretty decent mood. Better fuck right off from ppd now, let's not ruin it XD

Dating advice for very short men.

This is mostly targeted towards men who are 5'5" and below.

Stay away from casual sex. Physical attraction is cardinally number 1 and ordinally quite up there in importance. Short men are sexually unattractive.
Stay away from dating apps. Same as above basically. Emotional connection comes second to initial physical attraction.
Stay away from bars and clubs. Nobody's looking for a husband at these places. They are looking for someone sexy and exciting. No woman's gonna be having someone hot make-out session in the bathroom with a 5'3" guy, unless they've been spiked.
Do not go for short women, they care about height the most. Do not go for women more than 3 inches taller than you because it ain't happening.
Stay away from the pretty girls. They have many options. They ain't gonna be picking someone their height when they 6 foot men available. Stay in your league.
Stay awake from women who are interested in or wear a lot of make-up or do things like shave their body hair. These women are obviously gonna be shallow since they do these things and they'll expect their partners to be tall, too, since they're so concerned about "aesthetics".
Keep your open regarding how women look. Listen, almost all of the women interested in you when you're short will be unattractive. These women are likely gonna be bigger women who may often look unkempt relative to other women, since, if they did care about how they look, they would have cared about how you look, too. Homely and bigger women many times are cool with men who are not much shorter than them.
A lot of these women are gonna be asexual women. It's a "your choice" thing, whether you're fine with it or not. If you are open to dating an asexual woman, one solution will be to hire sex workers to have sexual wants taken care while having an emotionally fulfilling relationship with a kind woman.
Stay away from the gym and do not be obsessed with how you look. If you are obese, cut down a bit, obviously. But, if you are very fit, with muscles and abs, the women who do not care about looks are gonna look at you and think that you're a shallow person and they vet you out. The women who do like fit, muscly men with abs are gonna looks for those features on tall men, not short guys. No woman ever though "Look at that 5'3" guy with an insane bod. He's hot". They'll just think you're a weirdo who's compensating.

All my 5'5" friends have solely had LTRs with women they did not find physically attractive but were women that they liked as a person. Look for what's on the inside, stay away from casual sex which is physical attraction based, do not be shallow and you'll find women who are not so themselves.

Story time-

I remember in 2010 I was talking to a girl a little older than me (24 at the time). Long story short, she blocked me because of her rank in the army where she couldn't talk to me due to possible fraternization. Felt upset because she was pretty hot and could have made an LTR if things went right.

Fast forward to 2020 when covid was mid swing. I get a friend request on fb and I recognized the name but couldn't remember where, but I accepted her request and about 2 weeks later she starts liking random pics I posted. Then a month later she dm me asking how I been. Come find out its the same girl from 2010. I guess within those 10 years she got married and divorced, had 2 kids, left the army, and gained a lot of weight. Took a while for me to recognize her due to how much she had changed over 10 years.

Made obvious attempts to converse with me on fb and stupid me kept replying. At one point I mentioned indirectly she had blocked me before and she kept deflecting, saying something about restarting her fb years prior (I dont believe her, but whatever).

Eventually my interactions with her fizzled out, and once in a while she likes my pics. Interesting how someone blocks you and unblocks you 10 years later. Usually when someone blocks you, in their mind its permanent.

TL;DR- Got blocked on fb by a girl who I was talking to and out of nowhere got unblocked a decade later and started receiving messages from her trying to "catch up on life" or whatever her reasoning was.

I think when women use the word "entitled" when it comes to men and sex is their own way of insulting, because they only use that word when talking about men they are not attracted to. I don't think any man has ever said "I've done xyz for you, so you have to have sex with me." I love that I get accused of just world fallacy because my main advice is “Take some personal responsibility for why you’re single”.

Women can give some honest advice, but honest advice doesnt mean “Blame women for not wanting to fuck me because theyre so mean and shallow”.

There’s really a minimum of 3 factors when it comes to guys attracting chicks: Personality, Looks, Money.

If your personality is shit, most people dont want to be around you. If your looks arent impressive, shallow stupid people and most hot people would not desire you. If your bank account is shit, sex workers, glorified sex workers, and gold diggers want nothing to do with you.

Furthermore, way too many guys are lacking all three and have deluded them selves into thinking they are average. They also delude themselves into thinking the Stacies they keep chasing are also average women.

My man and I are canning today. I did all the prep work and now he's cooking down the salsa and washing jars while I drink coffee. Dividing up the work this way makes it seem so much less laborious!

If I finish blanching the tomatoes we picked this morning, I think we'll have enough for another batch. That will make 70 jars, so I'll probably make marinara out of the rest. I use the same basic recipe (Annie's salsa) for marinara, swapping out basil, oregano and fennel for the cumin, cilantro and chili powder.

In a few weeks we'll move on to making applesauce and apple butter; maybe some pear preserves, too. Then when frost comes, it'll be time to batten down the hatches, and cut and split our winter's firewood.

It's a great life if you don't weaken!

Within one country there were a plethora of different cultures across that country. So what's "traditional" in one corner of the country could be completely different to what's considered traditional in the other corner. That's one of the reasons so many people nowadays are incompatible with it. What people consider traditional is what they've seen in Hollywood or read in books and not what people practiced for hundreds of years in their local community

The other significant issue is that jobs have changed. A Woman is wayyyyyy more motivated to do all of the child labour, cooking and cleaning if her alternative is working in a coal mine. She'd be witnessing the physical toll it had on his body regularly and be thankful she doesn't deal with that. That's the reason why the "women's liberation movement" didn't happen until less physically demanding jobs became more popular. Now she's looking at her husband like "I could do the shit you did. So that's no excuse for you not to be cleaning that toilet or helping out with the kids right now"

I have an idea for a satirical short-story.

It revolves around a society which is a "beauty dystopia" i.e a society where Beauty is the primary virtue and everything in the society is arranged to maximize the beauty of its citizens. There would different practises for men and women, and some applying to everyone.

For example, one of the key male festivals in this society is an annual Short Purge, whereby all of the male members of society who are equal to or below the average height are gathered into a coliseum, and spectators watch as these men are then slaughtered by the the tallest and most muscular men of society. Following the Short Purge, the new average male height has now increased, and the next year's Short Purge would repeat with the previously-spared height demographic of men becoming the new victims of the tallest, strongest men in society. This process would repeat, until only men who are the Ideal Male Height of 6'3 or taller remain alive. And if any new offspring from these Ideal Height Men did not meet that 6'3" cutoff, then the games would resume until only 6'3" men remain again. And this process repeats indefinitely.

There would similarly be practises and festivals which target women exclusively, though I haven't yet decided what they will be.

There will also be society-wide practises, like the culling of all older people who have passed a certain age mark without successfully evolving into a Silver Fox or Silver Vixen. Thus, the only senior citizens in society would be Silver Foxes and Silver Vixens.

The bodies of the culled seniors would be used to create various dermatological products for the remaining members of society to use in their beauty routines.

The salaries of each citizen would be directly proportional to how beautiful they were deemed to be, increasing or decreasing only as their looks improved or declined.

The leaders of the society would be !ncels and f3mcels, who have never felt attracted to any other human being before due to finding their philtrum-to-chin ratio or gonial angle or some other physical attribute less-than-perfect.

I have no clue what the other details would be. I came up with the idea of an annual Short Purge as an extreme manifestation of societal height preferences, but then I thought it'd be better to create an entire society which is structured around reaching beauty ideals.

Maybe the story will start with a protagonist who is a male character who is nearing the end of puberty and is still under average height, as the annual Short Purge looms just ahead. He tries all the various kinds of unorthodox methods used in society to increase male height, but sees no luck. Then, somehow, he has a growth spurt just before the annual Height Measuring is taken, such that he surpasses the cutoff and is spared from entering the games.

And then maybe he meets a female protagonist, who is also defective in some key female metric(s), but maybe she's "not like the other girls" because she doesn't actually care about meeting these standards in the first place? Eh, that sounds pretty cringe and generic. I don't want this story to be too much of a Hunger Games ripoff, I'd want it to go down a different path. I don't know. I'm just spitballing here.

I also think it'd be hilarious in a "meta" way if the main characters were written to be extremely ugly, while all the evil characters were written to be extremely beautiful, to the point that the reader isn't even able to bring themselves to empathize with the protagonists regardless of what happens to them, and instead empathizes with the evil characters regardless of the actions they commit against the protagonists. Thus, the story obviously ends with the violent deaths of the protagonists, but the reader feels no empathy for them due to how ugly they were, and therefore the message of the book is not directly conveyed to the reader but is a meta-commentary on the real-world society in which the reader lives: namely that physical beauty is the most important attribute in human society, and that nobody cares about the people who don't have it - even as characters in a story written to highlight the cruelty of that very phenomena.

What do you guys think of this short story idea? Is there potential?
