I think the way to phrase it would be: if you look at the group of people who benefit the absolute most from it, they're mostly men. But it isn't the majority of men or women who benefit from it. This doesn't mean they don't have more sex, it means they lose more than they gain wrt relationship progression/stability.

To make a strange analogy, it's like physics. The "average" eminent physicist has an IQ of about 150. Because of greater variability, there are far more men at an IQ of 150 (and there are far more men with an IQ of 70, because greater variability gives and takes). So if you look at a group of people with the cognitive hardware to succeed at a high level in physics, you're looking at mostly men. A casual observer might look at this and think "ah, I guess men have an advantage in physics", but that isn't really how it works. The average man isn't meaningfully more capable wrt physics, it's just that among the group of super high achievers, they are disproportionately men. That's kind of how everything works.

So, following that theme, the absolute biggest winners of the sexual revolution? A small group of men. The absolute biggest losers? A small group of men. With average men and most women somewhere in the middle.

It benefits the top 20% of men, especially the top 5%. However, it doesn't benefit the majority of men, as in the past, they didn't have to compete with the top-tier men. A "6" man could date and marry a fellow "6" woman with little to no baggage. Such women did not have a history with Chad like the "modern" women, asking where are all the good men at, calling men players, assholes, etc. In my view, women shot themselves in the foot (and ruined it for 80+% of men) and will struggle increasingly more in the future. We are already seeing a big % of women childless and single, on anti-depressants, in therapy, divorced, etc.

Top 20 men? Yes. We now can put minimal effort for big reward because the stigma of sex before marriage and similar taboo's are pretty much dead across the board.

Bottom 80 me? Nope. Women will still make a bottom 80 jump through hoops for the what we 20 can get easily.

Women have less power because frankly there are more candy shops in town so if one is closed you can just go to the one next door.

Sex is the ONLY power play women have, if men can get it more easy than ever, then the power dynamics shift. Women need to not only dangle the prospect of sex in order to land a prime mate, but now MUST GIVE IT UP in order to even qualify for a top 20 man to consider her. and of course, once we get it, we have all the power (unless she becomes enamored, which very well may happen, in which case, women will benefit).

That said, women can flip the dynamic to their advantage by dangling the prospect of sex to lower value men (bottom 80) in exchange for favors, resources, money, attention etc Thirst traps accomplish this. A perfect example aside from the almighty porn, is ONLY FANS and Streamer Girls. These women are making BANK. T20 will just bounce if he smells a thirst trap or high effort woman. We leave those to the B80.

If marriage is not on the table, top 20 men benefit by getting easier sex with less effort and MOST women can "procure" resources more easily due the leveraging of technology via thirst traps.

Sexual revolution and hookup culture hasn't benefited anyone other than accelerate the undercurrent of moral relativism that's currently plaguing our collective psyche. It has not benefited anyone other than a small percentage of men and women on the top, who are monetizing and gaining social status from taking advantage of it. It didn't create equality, because it never meaningfully challenged the sexual dynamics between the sexes and it didn't eliminate stigmas, because it created new ones.

If you're a single very attractive man with wealth and social status who's hooking up, congratulations you're the results of the sexual revolution. As for regular men, they had to get married to have sex.

Pre-sexual revolution there were certainly restrictive (and even oppressive) social-sexual standards placed on women. Relaxing those standards is one thing. Telling women that there are no relevant differences between the sexes in the name of equality is another thing.

A ONS isn’t going to kill anyone (probably), but a cultural that tells women they should give their bodies to men freely, without insisting on any for of commitment to that man, on a consistent basis, is not a cultural that values the mental and physical well being of women.

The sexual revolution allows women to compete for HVM in their youth without being subject to rejection from beta males in the future. People act like women couldn't be hoes before the sexual revolution, but they could. Benefits dudes who either have the charisma or looks or sexual assets to fuck a lot of women. I racked a partner count of northwards of 300 to maybe 400. Majority I met either on dating apps, cold approaching and the bulk from my time in the kink and swinging scene. Knew a woman who ran a few sex parties and it took off from them. I think such a thing was unthinkable before the 60s. I would literally walk into an event and have sex with an absurd number of women simply because I was tall, muscular and well endowed. I knew one other guy who racked up similar numbers to me and, whilst not being as physically appealing as I am, was charismatic and had a dick like Shane diesel.

Those experiences really killed the idea that women cars about personality. Don't get me wrong, sex parties and kink clubs are an extreme, but I find that in reality they're no different than nightclubs except without the plausible deniability. And because women's sexual exploration is no longer frowned upon I often found that those parties were often filled with young attractive sluts who didn't feel any need to adhere to prior expectations of female chaste.

Not particularly, I grew up before hook up culture and knew of plenty of men in high school who would manipulate women and date them just for sex and then break up later, with the woman feeling devastated since she thought they were in a serious relationship. I feel like there will be less false relationships which benefits women significantly, and it benefits men in the sense that they will no longer have as much of a reason to behave in an evil manner to get laid. With hook up culture, both parties know that it’s a completely meaningless fling.

It benefits specific men in society. Mostly popular, powerful and wealthy men. How? For one they get have sex with out putting in any effort whatsoever. Normally regardless of the resources available to you as a man, some courting and "hard to get" would take place. Why? It's because there were stigmas associated with promiscuity and the results that come of it. Also, pregnancy was actually something women had to be careful of. Now, non of that is the case.

Women have been trained to only value dick, money, lifestyle and attention. A guy who has a ton of resources will spend his equivalent of ten cents to wine and a dine a few chicks and panties will drop. Shit some guys don't even spend any money, but they sell women a dream. A fantasy that they will be the one to get picked. At the end of the day they only get used up.

All of which reduces their relationship value in many ways. So feminism and the sexual revolution doesn't benefit women in the long term. It benefits specific men in both the short and long term.

Yes, at least in terms of short-term gratification. Average men have way higher chances of getting laid now than they did in the past but are salty because Chad gets laid more.

I’m glad the sexual revolution happened in regard to destigmatizing premarital sex and divorce, and also setting the stage for lgbtq+ rights and same-sex marriage. Those things needed to happen. But hookup culture specifically, I don’t really think benefits anyone from a big picture perspective. And by “hookup culture” I don’t mean people being able to hook up if they want without being shamed, I mean the social expectations and pressure. It’s damaging for women because we’re expected to be cool with casual/early sex but also shamed for having a high body count. It’s damaging for men because they believe they are losers if they aren’t getting laid frequently. People unfortunately are still judging others for their sex lives, albeit in a different way.

Yes. I regularly write on here about how "feminism" could just be renamed and called "men who aren't you-ism". The sexual revolution benefits women to an extent, but it also benefits two groups of men: the men who they are sleeping with casually, and their fathers who don't have to worry about lifetime financially supporting what would have been formerly seen as "unmarriageable" daughters.

Watching Gen Z dating habits from the perspective of being a trusted older cousin to many of them this is what I'm seeing: Highly religious and military Gen Z kids are still getting married at young ages. Time will tell how that works out. Those kids seem to be in their own bubble and are kind of proudly outside of the mainstream. The run of the mill kids? They aren't having sex that much. Even Chad is experiencing a drought compared to my heyday as a Millennial. Most guys don't want a relationship and most of the young women aren't interested in casual sex with guys who they know aren't interested in a relationship.

Something interesting about the young women: There have been a few confusing conversations that I've had where classically attractive young women appeared to be coming out as queer to me. As in, using language that a Millennial would use to "glass closet" or have a soft coming out....only to find out that no, these women are just trying to tell me that they're essentially asexual. They're 21-22. Slender, clear skinned, fashionable with hair/make up/clothing, and they are sheepishly kissless virgins.

Then those attractive men became her standard that she compared all future men. Even when the average man gets a relationship, it won't be as fulfilling because she feels like she settled.
