Women don't understand how much social privilege they have.

As a man, if you go to parties, clubs or bars, you have to be confident, outgoing, chill, social, interesting and tough/respectable (otherwise men won't respect you and women won't want to do anything sexual or romantic with you). You have to constantly provide value to people or they won't be interested in associating themselves with you at all and you'll be left by yourself and won't have a good time.

If you're a woman, you literally have to just show up ("put yourself out there") and do nothing but stand there, meet new people and bask in the female privilege. No social skills, no confidence needed. You'll get people wanting to talk to you and associate themselves with you and have a good time without doing anything. At no point does a woman have to do anything to be included. They can just act however they want and chill.

So the more recent TV shows from korea, USA, etc. I see a disturbing pattern where the male lead is super rich handsome, etc as usual.

While the female lead is downright ugly, chubby, old, widowed, masculine, etc

Now I am not saying it is absolute trash but the trend is clear. These shows are marketing the idea that these women still have a chance to get their prince charming.

I see similar patterns in say anime, targeted towards socially awkward boys who dream of getting a girlfriend who will just let him do whatever he wants to her. Him not having to do anything and the girl literally falls into his lap and he has some supernatural powers helping him bind her to him.

So human fantasies play out in which media is made and sold in a sort of selection pressure and self fulfilling prophecy.

I write all this to express my dissapointment. I used to enjoy skimming kdramas and the female leads were bombshells. Now I watch Crash Course in Romance and the looks gap is distracting me.

How the tables have turned huh, in movies made in cultures that are still quite feudalistic, I have noticed the other trend. The guy is ugly as fuck and the girl is hot as fuck. I have called it out there too. But not as vocally cause I don't particularly mind. Maybe it helps to be able to relate to the guy if the guy looks plain.

So now the idea is to ensure girls can relate to the actor. I guess.

Eventually we will have normal looking folk acting. Maybe...

If you're chronically online, you need to do something about it fast. It's the same as addictions like alcoholism or drug addiction. The only way is a downwards spiral where we finally hit rock bottom. It means there are many negative issues occurring behind the scenes such as depression and anxiety that need to be addressed.

Plus being in negative spaces further compounds that issue. It all becomes an incredibly difficult task to climb back out if nothing is done about it.

Just like how this community has tons of unappealing men (short, ugly, obese or too skinny, make little money, socially awkward, etc) who easily get upset at female standards because they don’t meet them, plenty of female equivalents exist as well.

I’ve looked at the profiles of some female posters here to see what kinds of communities they post in to surface level gauge what kind of people they are.

Here are some observations I’ve made:

The most blatant misandrist, male hating and male toxicity spewing women tend to be sex workers or women who participate in sugar lifestyles.
The women who post threads shaming men for liking younger, attractive women tend to post about how gross and disgusting these male standards are. And I think it’s because they realize they don’t meet them themselves, so it’s a defense mechanism to place the locus of blame externally on men instead of accepting and internalizing that they themselves are not meeting said standards. Their profiles tend to read as if they’re shy, socially awkward, and physically unattractive women. And maybe they’re no longer in the desired youthful age range. They tend to have posts dating months / years ago in beauty subs like vindicta where they clearly have insecurities over not being conventionally attractive.
The women who are happily partnered up and in gratifying/fulfilling relationships are here for the lulz and just participate casually and unseriously. They seem content and happy with their lives.

I've recollected this passage from the Color of Magic recently. I used to have nightmares where I had to pack things in a very short time, because we were late for our flight, everything was a complete mess and I was trying to pack and clean up at the same time. I found these nightmares weird, as I always make sure to pack up and clean beforehand...but then we really had to pack and put all our other stuff in boxes, so our friend could move in, in a day. Now when I have these nightmares, I always think of Rincewind and his "harmonics of fear" lol.

Hanging out with a Chad friend is eye opening.

I'm not ugly but no Chad. She wasn't even doing it consciously. It was an unconscious reaction to how physically attracted to him she was because she seemed shy and not the flirty type and we were in a professional setting where it wouldn't be appropriate for her to try to talk to him or show that she's interested in him. I think this type of reaction is only possible with Chads where the woman is very physically attracted to him and thinks she's way out of his league (she was chubby). Also, she was like 4'10 while he's around 6'2, so it's another knock against the common adage that "women just care if you're taller than them".

There is absolutely NO good reason not to call a fetus a baby, except the left has somehow collectively decided that it's not a baby without any justification other than it makes it easier to kill it.

There's ZERO scientific reason that a fetus is not a baby. But that won't stop the left for decrying it's not.
