I’d describe it as:

  • Playing coy.

  • Playing up damsel-like so he feels like he’s impressive.

  • Playing up not understanding stuff so he feels like he’s impressive.

  • If you’re naturally more of a rugged gal, playing up being more demure and “ladylike.”

  • Flirting and bantering by leaning in subtly and softly laughing. Grazing his arm lightly or slightly letting your leg graze his when you’re talking.

  • Many such things!

Heterosexual intrigue and seduction IS PERFORMANCE.

For those of us who aren’t “naturally” what people deem to be desirable, either we gotta learn to love the game or be upset we gotta play it.

It’s not a lot of choices if we don’t want to be single or undesirable. Because even if you find your perfect “accepts me for who I am” person, there’s still elements of “playing it up” maintenance to be done to keep the passion alive. And that’s okay!
