Not that they just don't value them at all just because they have options. Anyway I believe most men in general would love to have that option but can’t successfully pull it off.

The answer is that this isn't actually how people behave for the most part.

Think of how you treat the other people who are important to you in your life: friends, family members, etc. Do you really approach those relationships transactionally? Is it just about what you can get out of them? Do you think things like "I could replace my existing friends with better friends?"

There are some guys here (the RP ones) who are going to say that it's just transactional. But those guys aren't, and can't, speak for men as a group. They can only speak for themselves, and in doing so tell on themselves.

I think "Attractive" is often used not only to describe a man's physical appearance, but also his attitude and demeanor.

To a certain extent, being a bit of an asshole does tend to help men romantically.

Where as nicer, kinder, more passive men aren't seen as immediately attractive. By comparison.

Then, as those men who're more aggressive and asshole-ish are more attractive to women, those women tend to be hurt more by asshole-ish men.

As that attitude plays a large part in attraction, it creates a feedback loop. Where being more aggressive, assertive and self interested is attractive, but also makes for a rougher person to deal with.

So if men were to become more attractive to women, that would entail those men becoming something that has a tendency to be problematic.

Which would still mean that a more passive man, no matter how much more physically attractive he was, would still be somewhat at a disadvantage.

Obviously, this doesn't apply in 100% of cases, but generally speaking, a physically attractive man who can be a bit of a dick, seems to do a lot better romantically than a physically attractive man who lacks those more aggressive personality markers, in place of softer ones.

To be somewhat of an asshole, all other things equal, is to be more viscerally attractive. But to be somewhat more of an asshole, also means to be somewhat more shitty toward others. And one of those ways it might display us by using and disregarding women.

If men who weren't more likely to be displaying tendencies toward being an asshole, and where thus unattractive to me, started displaying more tendencies toward being assholes, and thus made themselves more attractive to me, I bet they'd be assholes.

There are levels to it. I would compare it to wealth in general.

Of the following, who would you assume are "good" people:

Top 0.1% of wealthy (e.g., Bezos, Musk)?
Top 10% of wealthy (e.g., doctors, lawyers)?
Top 25% of wealthy (e.g., entrepreneurs, small/family business owners)?
Remaining wealthy (e.g., average salary earners)?

I would bet good money that most people would assume that the top 0.1% of people are greedy and selfish and are generally not good people, especially if you want to start a business with them. You might think that they're going to take advantage of you, if anything. As you go lower, you might assume that they have better intentions for you. It's not always true, of course, but it is more likely.

Relating back to dating, most guys (e.g., the average men) are warning women that those top 0.X% of men do not have good intentions for women who aren't in the top X% of women. It doesn't mean that the average men want to mistreat women.

To your main question, if you're looking for a monogamous, romantic relationship, then yeah, you would want someone who is faithful to you and will treat you well, no? I know I wouldn't want a woman who has a long roster of men.

Now, if you do not want a relationship nor want to be with a man long-term, then you don't have to listen to men's suggestions/advice. You can continue keeping your standards where they are.

I disagree with the narrative that any man with options is going to treat women poorly. If anything, knowing how to treat women well makes you more attractive (the idea that women prefer to be mistreated is the most misguided, inaccurate tenet of redpill ideology, IMO).

Any person with options will have an idea what their league is and probably put more effort into winning the affection of people who seem like “catches” to them, but I don’t think that’s gendered at all really.

I do think women tend to have more responsive desire, meaning when women know that other women view a guy as a catch, they find that guy more attractive. I think social clout goes further in determining a woman’s attraction to a man than vice versa.

You're oversimplifying this by lumping men into 2 categories which isn't reality. Any man or woman who is insecure enough to think that if their partner is attractive and has options they are just being used for casual sex. That's definitely the case in some situations usually with younger people dating around either looking for the right person or just wanting to date around with. no intention of being in a relationship at that point. Lots of variables. If a woman, or man, thinks the person they are seeing views them as disposable then that's not desirable...... it's reason to stay away unless you both want something casual and without a commitment.

Some women, and men, who are attractive, promiscuous and not out of their "party phase" play the field easily but not all attractive people do that. I don't get why this is such are hard concept for women to understand given how many real life examples of this exist. Men with a lot of options tend to face a lot more temptation than the average man and a lot of men in those positions tend to exercise their options. This is just a math problem: the important numbers for women are based on the percentage of interactions with men, not the overall population of men.

Let's say you have 5 men who fit into this very attractive category. Four of them aren't really interested in casual, they only have sex in committed relationships and end up marrying the first or second woman they date in college. So, 2 of them have sex with only 1 woman in their lives, the other 2 have sex with 2 women each.

The final guy of the five is a player, more interested in casual sex, and he has sex with 94 different women.

If you look at the men, 4/5 are only interested in long term relationships.

If you look at the women, 94/100 who dated these very attractive men were just used for casual sex. Of the women who wanted to have a hoe phase before settling down, it's 100%.

From a male perspective, it can look like very attractive men sometimes get lower barriers to entry. Faster sex, less effort required, fewer standards enforced while average men are asked to demonstrate stability, patience, emotional maturity, planning. When those standards are framed as universal moral requirements, but appear flexible depending on attraction level it can trigger resentment and anger.

It’s not “women shouldn’t like attractive men.” It’s more like “why do the rules seem different depending on who you are?”

That doesn’t make women evil. Strong attraction lowers friction. That’s human. But when men feel like they’re being evaluated under stricter conditions than someone else, it can feel like unequal desire rather than just different preference.

Lastly, the idea that “all attractive men pump and dump and all unattractive men would if they could” isn’t something most men believe. Opportunity increases temptation but character and values still matter.

Well this "logically" is the same logic as calculating average speed by summing all different speeds and delete by amount of different speeds. Kinda make sense but is wrong. You have to actually look at men's actions and amount of women complaining about being "used for sex" or being seen as "a sex object" while refusing to consider less attractive men is greater than women complaining about average and below men being the same.

I don't think this is inherently inevitable. In a more rustic age, men did not have quite the same motive many currently feel to dispose of women they have used. There was a time when a woman was someone to be possessed; and more men than today would have felt genuine pride in possessing one. He was a steward - a lord and master of a good thing - a thing worth having, and jealously guarding.

The modern historical moment, and the sense (perhaps justified) that to have a relationship with a women is to be subject - to be conquered by woman and society, rather than conquer - is in large part responsible for the social attitude that currently exists regarding bonds between a man and a woman.

Men can't use women as "disposable" if women aren't choosing to have early sex with them in the first place. Women need to stop having sex with men early and then the men who would choose to use her disposably will leave quickly and only the men who wish to emotionally invest will stick around.

The problem is that some attractive men do stick around, at least for a bit, after early sex, and therefore women play a game with other women where they can outcompete other women who are not willing to have sex with a man early by choosing to have sex earlier with him herself. This, of course, runs the risk that she will be treated disposably.

Women just collectively need to not have sex with men early. Of course, this won't stop men from sometimes cheating on or abandoning women due to a desire for variety or to evade responsibility for getting her pregnant, but it will prevent "bad actors" from just using women for sex by pretending to want a relationship with them.

In my experience, attractive men are better to women, on a broad average. I suspect it's because they're less bitter, less paranoid, have more flexibility to be selective with the women they allow into their lives in the first place, and aren't constantly comparing their fates to those other men. Less attractive men may be easier to get into a relationship—but for the same reason, they're less likely to be happy with, or even suited to, that outcome.

Attractive men get the bad reputation primarily just because they're more visible. Consider that if an equal percentage of attractive and unattractive men are, in fact, bad, but the attractive ones get 10x more chances to show it, the obvious outcome is way more anecdotal accounts of badness among the attractive.

To know the true patterns and behaviors of a group, you should look at the people that stand at the top of the totem pole, where there is no constraint of choice and are able to act exactly how they wanna act.

Men, when it takes little to no effort and investment, are willing to sleep with a larger number of women compared to the woman they want to date, that's why men drop their standards precipitously for casual sex. That applies to all men, it's just that the most desirable men can pull it off the best. Because in the ancestral environment, once sex and reproduction happens, a very desirable man was free to walk away from the pregnant woman and let her and the offspring fend for themselves, noone could force him to take care of them or pay for them etc. He could impregnate tons of average women and statistically some offsprings were bound to survive and pass on his genes. But if he decided to put maximum effort and full paternal investment, he'd to that with the most desirable woman he could get and the few offsprings he had with her, thus maximizing the chances of survival for those few, but genetically elite offsprings. Or a combination of both strategies of course. That's male nature in short. It all comes down to biology.

Now, what people, and a lot of redpillers and blackpillers mistake, is that the very desirable guys never get in longterm relationships ever and just want to sleep around with almost anything that moves. That's nonsense. A lot of them get in relationships with very desirable women and stay with those women. For example, even a really hot guy has to put some effort to get a really hot woman generally, a really hot woman is not nearly as disposable as an average woman he slept with and he knows he can easily get 100 of those with little effort. Plenty of attractive guys know a good deal when they see it, they aren't going to waste time sleeping around.

As for the sudden increase in value that might happen at some point, for example some average joe attains significant wealth and fame, and he can now get hotter women than his average looking wife of 15-20 years, most of those men don't leave their wives and kids to get with a younger hotter woman due to many factors such as duty, gratefulness, doing what's best for the kids, consequences of losing half your wealth in a divorce(since they got married early when he wasn't rich and didn't get a prenup) etc. If a woman invested her youth and beauty in a man, was loyal to him, went the extra mile for him when he didn't have a penny, shares a lot of history and memories of youth with him, had his kids etc., most men aren't as ruthless to ditch those women in midlife.

I figured this out a while ago, maybe 10 years ago, but found the conclusion to it 4 years ago?

So women monkey branch, men dispose. Or,.. the same difference. To defeat the woman side, I will only date her at her best 'her' to know I'm her first choice. The concept is you need to be the best option, so on the mans side I can do this because she's the selector. So I will only pay attention when she's at her best, lost the weight .. for one. All of it. Otherwise she will monkey branch the day she 'improves herself' past what I first met.

While I found my answer, you'll need to figure out the other side for men. May this guide and help you! You must be 'his best option' I'd initially assume. It could be more complex than that.

I am a "man with options" and it is not the way stupid incels make it out to be. It just means women give me more preferential treatment because of my looks, height, and sound of my voice. It doesn't mean I just snap my fingers and all the women come running to me. Even though they are physically attracted they still act weird and hold back, some even act fucking hostile for no reason at all cause in their stupid minds they think I must be arrogant and privileged so they feel it's their mission to knock me down.

Just because a guy has options does not mean he isn't looking for one very specific girl for himself.

You women don't seem to have a clue what we value in women, just as we have no idea what the hell you even see in us and honestly it's just fucking exhausting at this point. That's why I've completely given up and have just settled for girls that are down to fuck or wanna be FWB. And even sex and being horny is just not doing it anymore. Being attracted to women comes with a sinking feeling in the chest now. A lot of times I just avoid women that show attraction to me cause I just do not wanna deal with it in that moment. I don't think women's standards are high, I just think they are completely insane. Women want contradiction, they want drama, they enjoy stress, intrigue, and all the BS they claim to want to be safe from. I'm just done.

These kinds of questions are exactly why I don't take the notion of women being into men seriously. If all you were looking for was a guy for whom you'll never be disposable (he's effectively stuck with you), then you're not after a sex toy, you're after an emotional support prop.
