So she’d probably want to do something with her time than just sit at home alone anyways. The dating market is like this precisely because men have adapted to what women demonstrate they want through their actions.

If women wanted traditional men, they would do the things that attract traditional men - remain chaste, dress conservatively, learn how to be submissive and cooperative, etc. and the men, seeing this, would adapt to meet the demand.

Instead, women have demonstrated a clear preference for "fuckboy" types of behaviors as evidenced by the traditional man being seen as a fallback or runner-up to the cocky brash alpha fuckboy.

Remember: it is women, not men, that determine who gets to procreate. It is the woman who sets the rules for the mating ritual and it is up to the man to play the part or be left out (because there is always a man who will play the part).

There are a lot of things about traditional women, or even less liberal women, that I don't find attractive. The things about modern women that I find repulsive are actually the things that make them more traditional, not progressive. I spent highschool and college hoping to land a quality woman. There were very few so I had to make due even though casual sex was rarely, if ever, satisfying.

In retrospect I do have to take some culpability. When I was 16 I dated this girl that was 15 for a couple months and she probably was the one that would have been that more or less traditional typical wife although she was athletic and always worked. The thing was in high school I was a punk rocker. All her friends told her that I was a bad boy looking for the party nothing but casual sex and that I was on drugs.

She ended up getting with a guy a couple months after we broke up and they ended up getting married and being married for 20 years and we're together for a total of 25.

When she found out she had stage 4 cancer a few months later she reached out to me and left the husband and family to be with me for the last 4 years of her life. That's when I learned of all this s*** that her friends told her.

I certainly didn't look like the guy who was going to be the traditional husband. Being a punk rocker was actually part of the plan. A big part of it was testing whether people would actually see through the persona to find out the real me but that didn't happen.

When I reflect on her marriage I'm glad I was never that guy. He never grew up he never did anything but go to work. He neglected her and when I found her she was starving for love and affection and some f****** gratitude. She got it. We also had a very exciting adventure together and I think she needed that.

I've been coming to the realization that essentially you pay early or you pay late. My old boss used to say "pay me now or pay me later, it doesn't matter."

There are no shortcuts in life. And from what I see women are encouraged to take shortcuts using their sexuality. "Have fun when you're young" is the refrain, and it's usually said by washed up women that never did nothing but party, popped out a few kids, their life looks like a f****** disaster. And that's why now at 46, I'm fully aware that the vast majority of women are simply looking for another shortcut/bailout now that they are out of options. At least the options they were used to.

There might be a few of them out there like my deceased wife that spent a long time in a relationship and there might be a couple widows. But for the most part they've just got thrown off the cock carousel. Now that they're used up worn out and tired they think they're going to "settle down" with a man like me.

Instead of thinking of it as settling down they need to think of it as settling up - as in paying their long past due bar tab. They wanted to eat the meal but they didn't want to pay the bill.

There are no shortcuts in life so we don't like it when other people try to take shortcuts. And we especially don't like it when people had many shortcuts available to them and just kept taking shortcuts until they found themselves lost. I'm not going to be just another shortcut. Unfortunately after taking a lifetime of shortcuts these women don't know how to do it the long way. I did even better at school even though I was a straight A student, I became the captain of my rugby team, and I was overall so much happier and psyched up everyday. Even "traditional" guys are compromising on traditional qualities they want in a partner. Example: Okay with woman working their own job and not strictly being SAHM. Okay with woman disagreeing and having authority on some matters.

Traditional relationships are on a scale. I grew up traditional with a SAHM. My mom is mostly a follower (voices her own opinion but follows my dad's lead). She eventually worked when her kids grew up and my parents compromise often.

I don't think painting traditional relationships as a woman in shackles and the man with the chains dragging her is a realistic image for what it is in many cases.

Of course every guy wants a loyal and caring woman, but I think “submissive” has been thrown around too many times without context.

From my experience, men like to put themselves in fantasy scenarios and build parts of their life around that fantasy without actually putting in the work to obtain the full picture.

When I was building my business in my early 20’s, all of my guy friends would constantly talk about how they’re going to start their own business and none of them did whatsoever, yet they continue to consume content that provides advice as if they were. They’re good guys, but they’re essentially taking steroids without going to the gym.

I’ve seen this time and time again with men, they say they’re going to start something or do something, but they straight up just never do it or even take the most simple steps to doing it.

Anyways, point being that men who would actually benefit from a “traditional woman” are “traditional men” but the term “traditional men” in the eyes of women seems to have become more like “excelling men”.

A man who doesn’t have the time to cater to a non-traditional woman’s needs may want a non-traditional woman, but they don’t have time to partake in what makes them happy which would destroy the relationship. So a lot of men that are at the peak of their careers/close to it will typically search for woman who are happiest as SAH mother’s, then a bunch of men see that and think that’s the ideal woman for them.

Married to a traditional woman here. 100% bread winner and it is a lot of work. I look at you guys in modern relationships with envy. Probably wouldn't do it again tbh. I have all the perks of that life if you are wondering. High salary. Young pretty wife who takes care of the house and family. She is a great cook generous lover manages the household budget etc. But while I'm off to my 6th side hustle of the week you guys are meeting up somewhere laughing at guys like me. And you are probably right.

The trad thing is overrated. I'd rather be with a woman who's experienced. Someone who has their own mind. Not regurgitating the junk some religious institutions or conservative groups drill into them.

The more I think about it, the less appealing a “traditional” woman seems. I think most men are told that is what we should want, so they look for it… but realistically… nah.

I know there are guys out there that will cheat no matter what but I truly believe 80%+ of married guys out there would not cheat if their sexual needs were being met at home. There are a dozen valid reasons why many modern wives start to neglect their husband and his needs but the fact is it happens and it is quite common. No matter what those valid reasons may be, his needs don’t change. We all do things everyday that we may not want to do at the moment but they are good for you and your life. If wives continually ignore their husbands needs eventually he is going to find another way for them to be met. If you just stop cooking, you can’t expect a guy to starve waiting for you. He’s going to cook or order take out. If you try to force semi celibacy on a guy, he will eventually crack. It should not surprise you. They don’t want to cheat. It’s a lot of work and guilt.

I'd be ok with a trad wife.

Shed need to get up before dawn to milk the cows and tend the chickens everyday, then make breakfast and my sack lunch before I go into town to work. I'd also expect her to feed the animals and do the afternoon milking, too. I'd need help with the slaughter a couple times a year. And of course shed have to garden and can the veggies as well. Naturally, I'd need hot dinner on the table every night.

Naturally, she needs to stay of top of the laundry, and keep the house clean. I work very long hours, and couldn't possibly make do with a modern wife.

But good news, she gets the help of a modern washer, dryer, vacuum cleaner, refrigerator, and gas stove! And the house has indoor plumbing, too!

Make an orderly line for my selection, girls!
