I think it’s because we are spending time in communities where this sort of behavior is popularized.

I do not see this regularly in my every day life. I do see men becoming more independent and less keen on having relationships, but I think that’s a good thing.

Unfortunately as a result of the hyper capitalistic structures we have in the west, I think this is only going to lead to the working class going at each other’s throats even more. This ofc will also include men and women going at each other 🥴

Men are sick of the entitled attitude of many modern women, particularly in the West, who shout the equality mantra, yet often don’t want to carry out any traditional care for the guy, but expect the man to remain the traditional provider, paying for everything, even when the woman is earning. And on top of that, he is expected still to do half the household chores. Nothing wrong with equality, but the feminists want it all their own way.

Then the divorce courts award them a big slug of what they might never have contributed towards, even if they are the ones leaving for no good reason or who had the affair (they’ll say they only had an affair because of the man’s failings!) Speak to any divorce lawyers and they’ll tell you the horror on the face of any woman placed in the minority of divorce financial settlements where the woman has to pay the guy. Equality soon flies out of the window in those cases.

Any modern guy who gets married or moves a woman in is just asking for trouble. Having children together is the only justification these days for marriage or cohabitation.

I think in my case, the last few years have proved to me that you simply cannot put women on a pedestal and yet they continue to refuse to actually accept their own shittiness in just the same way that men refuse to accept ours.

They don’t want to accept men as they are, they would rather just have a bf that’s some caricature of a romance novel protagonist.

And there’s so many instances where so much is made of validating women’s emotions but refusing to see where men feel the exact same way -

It’s fine for women to want the patriarchy to end but also they want a pick of the litter of successful man. These two things are incoherent.

It’s fine for women to opt out of motherhood but men are man children if they opt out of the labor force.

It’s fine for women to have traumas and mental health wounds from previous relationships and experiences but the moment men show their own issues, it gives them the ick.

There’s just about every gender dynamic where so much has been pushed in regards to validating how women feel and react to their experiences, while men’s coping mechanisms (even when harmless) are vilified, mocked, etc.

I have generally started ignoring and not acknowledging women over the years.

The most vocal of women seem to hate when men (except Chad) even simply smile at them. These days I no longer start conversations with women, I don't say hi to them, if a women passes by and smiles or says hi to me, I ignore them.

I work for a large company that requires annual diversity and sexual harassment training that is done online. They present different scenarios and the white man is always made out to be the wrong doer in all scenarios. Even asking where somebody was from was presented as a potentially offensive situation.

Unfortunately, these days I feel like I am walking on eggshells anytime that I am interacting with someone other than a white male. The result is that I prefer not to interact with women and minorities out of fear of offending them. My required work training has taught me to interact only when necessary, and to keep all interactions business related and then quickly move on.

I think a lot it comes from mommy issues. I taught at a title 1 school before COVID. Most of my students are products of single moms or Mom is the default parent if Dad is around.

At school, most teachers are female. As a female teacher, my male students disrespected me but worshipped my male colleagues. Boys don't need another mommy nagging them. They need a man to look up to.

It's no wonder they're seeking male role models on the Internet and finding them in influencers like Andrew Tate who teach them downright horrible things about women.

I have not seen this in real life, I have only seen it when men on the internet tell their story for example about how they were falsely accused by their ex-wife of family abuse so she can get full custody of the kids while barring the father from having access to them and young men who have given up on women. They talk about how they use to be the guy girls would come to with their problems, but after being lied about by these girls and losing friendships and reputation over it they avoid women when possible because why risk being put through that again.

What’s upsetting is if women come to learn about these events happening in the guys life, he wants as little to do with women as possible and has made an exception for her there is no empathy, the guy must have done something wrong to make her do that or it’s not a good reason to stop talking to women. It’s very sad.

There’s a rise in racism, antisemtism (even before Israel was in the news again), homophobia, most crimes, poverty etc in a lot of the western world. We’re on the brink of recession, just experienced a pandemic and most of us are in a cost of living crisis. Hate and extreme views always increase in circumstances like these; Pre ww2 Germany had the hyperinflation, depression, war repetitions etc and Facism and socialism both got increasingly popular before Hitler got power.

So while I’m not surprised, it is a little scary.

I think everyone's responding to the recent reevaluation of gender roles in different ways, but we are all responding to it. Most of the guys I know who grew up when Hillary was campaigning fell into the whole "male feminist" trend as teens or young adults. A lot of us are realizing now that women are even more varied in their opinions and life experiences than men are, and they seriously can't come to an agreement on the things they need. I'm not any more resentful of women than I was as a kid, but I'm much more skeptical about their personal opinions and beliefs, it's much easier to see now that even a large group of women can't reliably speak on behalf of the majority of the gender, but we were literally told not to invalidate any individual woman's stated experience growing up.

For any progress made by women in general in the areas of self-direction and independence there is a significant chunk of the population (mostly men but women too) who will resent women for it.

Additionally, there's a LOT of media push around the narrative of men as villains. White men in particular.

I would put myself in that camp. Over the last few years I have become increasingly aware of the issues that men face and how there's a certain school of thought where the subtext is a mishmash of 'men are predators, men are toxic, the have privilege so they deserve no empathy, and the inequality they face is imaginary'.

Now, I think that the 'manosphere' is toxic and wrong about the causes and solutions it is peddling. But that doesn't change the fact that men still have issues.

I think dating apps is a big reason. Before dating apps the field was more level. With dating apps every woman has a buffet of men to choose from and men do not have a buffet of women.

This has led to frustration. While 2 decades ago I could ask out Sally, the pretty girl next door looking girl and stand a good shot of landing a date because she’s probably only been asked out on a date by someone already maybe once this whole month, these days Sally has 100 men in her DMs.

Men kindof did this to themselves by actually encouraging and praising Chads to get more and more women. But the end result has been a lot of men who are 6 out of 10 can not get a 6 out of 10 women and so are mad.

He was complaining about why women stood him up all the time when he plans for a romantic date. They just flaked out at the last minute. Told him br wiser next time, and don't expect too much from his would-be dates. Got flaked out too a few times, so I can relate to his experience. However, he doesn't have to hate nor resent them for that.

Yes. I have totally become “red pilled” as a woman, but it’s different from what you see on RedPill Women.

Here’s what I have learned from men on the internet.

No hymen, no Diamond. Even if you had a serious ex boyfriend who you lost your virginity to, and it didn’t work out for reasons beyond your control. Men think you are unworthy of marriage.
In addition to thinking non virgin women are unworthy of marriage, men think that not being a virgin means that your body suddenly becomes an amusement park that if you don’t grant them access to it within a few dates or months, they will discard you. Even if you made your ex boyfriend wait years.
Men think most women are unattractive. Especially American women. Men think American women are all disgusting and fat. If you don’t look a certain way, they find you gross.
In addition to that, if you’re above a certain age (25, 30, etc), most men will find you repulsive. Men who are like 40 go out of their way to explain how they aren’t attracted to women their own age.
Most men are incapable of financially supporting a family, but expect traditional gender roles. If he does make good money and you are married, he doesn’t believe money is shared and community property within the confines of a marriage. Even when married, men consider the income they earn theirs and theirs alone. Despite this, they expect women to act as homemakers.
Even if both partners work full-time, men expect women to be homemakers. Men consider taking out the trash once a day and mowing the lawn and potentially occasionally being available to fix a car or something (I don’t know any men under age 40 who aren’t mechanics who know how to fix a car, and I always go to a trusted mechanic rather than a husband or boyfriend) and theoretically being present to fight a once in a lifetime burglar is enough to compensate for hours of daily cooking, cleaning, childcare, elder care, groceries, and running errands, and taking the kids to things like soccer practice and Spanish lessons.
Most men really hate fat women, and even if a fat woman goes online to post her workout and show the effort she is putting in to try to lose weight, an army of men will go out of their way to humiliate her “for her health”
Men get extremely jealous that exceptionally attractive men (eg abercrombie models) get certain perks and benefits (eg easy sex) and fail to acknowledge that the same thing applies to women. Eg a playboy bunny or Instagram thot will be able to be a “stay at home girlfriend” with an allowance to a wealthy guy but no normie girl with an average face and body is going to get this. Men seem to think that women can easily get plastic surgery but fail to acknowledge that a) plastic surgery is expensive and painful and b) men can get plastic surgery too
Men have this invisible enemy named “Chad” who they believe is an Adonis Abercrombie model who women will do anything for, and that any and all abuse come from Chad and nobody else. Men believe that ugly and unattractive men are incapable of abuse, and that the only reason why a woman is abused is because she picked a man who is too handsome
Men get angry when women pick good men who have good jobs. They loathe that they need a decent career to be competitive in this dating market. They believe that a woman should love them for who they are, even if they are a minimum wage worker living with 20 other people in a house and sharing a bedroom to barely make ends meet. And guess what? Even those men can find a wife or girlfriend but she will also be poor and will most likely be unattractive and/or fat. But men get angry about that.

Before we met, my boyfriend used to be more resentful towards women and frequented masculinity forums. Somehow this changed after we got together, and he no longer participates in those spaces. His feed is now made up of sports, politics, and awesome animal videos which he shares with me. I'd say the same for myself. My media consumption has become less negative thanks to his presence.

It’s quite obvious that as more men experience sexless lives due to modern dating culture resentment towards women by those men will grow. It’s just human nature to resent what you desire if you can’t have it. The reason the rich are despised by so many is not because of a backlash against greed and inequality but simply because they are not rich themselves.

A less straightforward question would be whether there has been a general rise or fall in women’s resentment towards men since the advent of online dating caused such a shift in relationship dynamics between average men and average woman.

I have mixed thoughts on this. But if we are going to explore all sides, lets do some real red pill and put some uncomfortable ideas on the table.

Maybe women haven't 'gotten over' what they see as an eternity of oppression and even sexual slavery, mass rape and widescale beatings and killings from men. Before we all assume some woo woo, Kumbaya equality and complementarity between the genders, particularly in how useful they are to one another or how well they treat one another, we probably should unpack that prior more explicitly. Yesterday I saw a video on YouTube. It was a compilation of the best answers in those game shows from the past, like Family Feud and stuff. Let me tell you, those guys HATED their wives. Every single opportunity they had to mock women, they took it. So, for me, no, it's not growing. Men simply don't like to deal with women's personalities, they never did. Now we are noticing it more because women don't feel the need to marry and be a housewife because they too can be single, date around and have high paying jobs, so men are having difficulties to date around unless they are somehow interesting to women's tastes. Ah, also, internet forums like reddit make it easier to find people with similar problems like ours, so it may look like it's more common, but in reality it probably always looked like this.

Standards for men have greatly increase beyond just physical attraction . Your average working man doe not meet most of the qualifications. So women are competing for a small top % of men. Which leaves most men feeling no point in trying to pursue any women. While most women are still normal people too. Who wouldn't be frustrated with those circumstances.
