“Trust but verify! Im not accusing you of anything. I just want some insurance. Afterall men can be utterly disgusting. I just need insurance that you’re loyal and that may child is safe in your presence.”

And no, Im not talking about situations where the guy has reasons to be suspicious like: - Proof of cheating. - Not in a committed relationship. - The child has features that they shouldn’t have. - Male infertility - Worst case scenario: SA happened around time of conception.

Im talking about the guys that have no reason to question it but “just need that peace of mind” and “paternity fraud has happened before and they dont want to go through that”. Well, its only fair that she has insurance that you a good family man and not a manipulative piece of shit. Afterall, if you desperately need a peace of mind, so should she.

I say if the guy asks for a paternity test. Tell him that it’ll happen next week. And during those 7 days, check all his devices, social media, check the child for signs of abuse, and constantly ask him where he’s going. And if the woman needs extra assurance, demand to track his phone and randomly show up at the places he claims to be and make sure he’s not on another woman. Also, check his bank statement to make sure he’s not in debt that the woman has to deal with. As long as the guy is perfectly fine with the change in dynamics of the relationship, I think its completely fair to have a paternity test.

Afterall, men dont think theyre the only ones that get paranoid and need a peace of mind. Surely men know that, right?
