I wouldn't argue for a specific age, I'd just say there's a trend and rapidly diminishing returns after maturity and middle age. It's incredibly hard for a woman in her thirties to have the same SMV as one in her twenties, that's just logical. And it scales exponentially. Does that mean all men should be like Leo and never date anybody over 25? Fuck no. But the Wall, or something like it, does describe an extant phenomenon. What it refers to is rapid loss in SMV, forcing women to lower their standards (which were probably too high anyway, tbf). Or, y'know, just be single forever.

The point someone else made about women's standards not catching up to the changes in their SMV is clutch. I'd expand on that and say it's really their whole mindset overall. A woman can stay mentally in her twenties for decades. (Yes, so can a guy. Chill.) The result is rough though. Just take the case of that supermodel being shocked and offended that she wasn't getting the same treatment from guys and clubs after middle age. Like, duh. Welcome to reality.

I don't believe that men, on average, hit the wall. That's like saying men, on average, want a provider. It's just not directly analogous across genders. The concept is too specific. I do think some men fall off, and some do fall off harder than others. But I also think some men (arguably a slim majority) get better with age. Certainly, on average, most men don't get markedly worse.

For short term relationships, all that matters is that you look fuckable, you age (or anything else about you for that matter) is irrelevant. We fuck and part ways. For LTR not only do I care that you are fuckable, I need to know you would remain fuckable in, well as LTR implies, the long term. A 35 yo may as well be just as fuckable as a 25 yo, hell maybe even more so. But she brings 10 less years of fuckability to the table. There is no amount of knowledge or personality a woman can bring to the table to compensate for those 10 years. So, the age in which women become unattractive is irrelevant, what matters is that an older woman has few years left until she reaches that age.

Usually at around 23 there's a pretty obvious decline. For men it really depends some age well some don't. Depends on hairloss and how fit they are. But I'd say Usually around 28+ men start declining as hairloss starts around that age for alot of men.

There is no wall. Some women at 35 look better than some women at 25. It comes down to genetics and how one takes care of themselves. Everyone will age, but it is a slower gradual age than rp claims. There is never a time you “hit” a wall and things start to drastically decline.

If we’re talking about fertility wise, 35 is where a significant decline begins, but then again, it’s not true for all women as there are women well into their 40s still easily getting pregnant.

The wall is more that the game of relationships musical chairs gets progressively harder with time. And this game shows up when gender ratios are skewed.

Gender ratios are becoming progressively skewed against professional and highly educated women because men are not keeping up with them. We know women date at or above their education and socioeconomic level. They also date around their age or slightly older. Men cast a wider net.

So we start in a population of let's say 40 women and 30 men in their early 20's. By the mid 20's half of the women marry. There's only now 20 women but 15 men. Later on another half marries. There's now 10 women and 5 men left. Some won't win.

Marriage and pairing happens to occur during people's 20's and early 30's so it's obvious that the wall shows up around this time.

Then the caricature starts. The leftover women who are becoming anxious, desperate and angry just becomes less attractive to men. The men who are marriage material will remain married or divorce and find someone else because they are marriage material. The droves of men who are invisible remain to be invisible even when they could, potentially, skew the female to male ratio in favor of women a little bit.

Of course, sexual liberation has dropped the value of sex as a bargaining chip to pretty much zero, so many men don't see the point in committing anyway, which skews the ratio even more.

The wall for men comes when the man becomes poor or too unproductive, physically frail or incapable of having sex. That's game over. A fat NEET can hit the wall even before his balls drop.

I don't necessarily think there's a wall. I think there's an age where women have higher standards along with being less attractive themselves. Usually mid thirties but it varies.

I don't think age is as related to a wall for men. Most men come out of the womb having already hit the wall and will always be unattractive. Some will be highly sought after for most of their lives.

As I've said before, "the wall", while I get the concept of it, is bullshit. Or the concept is bullshit. I speak from experience and observation.

I'm coming at this more from behaviors and attitudes rather than looks, although I think we can all agree that we've all seen some good looking older women.

What I mean by that is, this idea that once women like hit their mid 40s, and then start to become this like kindly grandmotherly hallmark made for tv movie type and like by the time they hit their early 70s like the process starts to hit the end phase, is all bullshit.

You think, or you'd think, once that yes, they "mature with age and gain wisdom with age" would they would act their age is all bullshit. I have seen and dealt with so many who would otherwise be "matured with age",but they don't give a fuck. You know how many temper tantrums I've seen cause someone didn't get their way or what they want? You know how many entitled attitudes I've had to deal with? Think they can walk all over you or take advantage of you or things? Plenty.

And these were not super mega hotty stacies nor were they nec. super mega hotty stacies who well, the looks faded in time. They were mostly average. My point is this belief that it's only the super hot 10s who think they can do this shit and have this princess complex, it's all bullshit, and if you believe that it's only the super hot 10s, you are lying to yourself.

While I do agree with some of the red pill stuff. it has it's points, some of these beliefs which pop up in these conversations, are very limiting views, and it, the discussion surrounding it, comes off as someone who has never experienced or dealt with these things and can only talk about it in terms of this internet social lexicon of approaching it, which if you do that, you are in for a rude awakening.

We don't rely on our sex appeal in anything crucial in life.

We don't seek sugar mommas to absorb our student debt. We don't need a partner who'll provide us with floor space to live in. We aren't on a borrowed time to find a person who'll raise and provide for our unwanted baby. We don't work jobs where hiring drops 10-fold after the candidate hits 35.

If men peak the older they are, you're implying they're more attractive the older they get. As men age they generally will get wrinkles, sun spots on their skin, weird extra hairs in some places, go bald, often gain weight while losing muscle. On online dating sites once I filter to above 37 it’s a steep drop off in looks.

However I think women who care about looking good and put a lot of effort can still be hot to their late 40s or even 50s.

You can stay fit forever, but nothing stops your hormones from naturally dropping (Ig you could take synthetic hormones, but not easily or without side effects), your skin from wrinkling and sagging, your boobs from drooping (except for expensive surgeries) etc. Not to mention what happens after you’ve had kids— and I used to ardently believe that having kids doesn’t have to change your body as long as you take care of yourself and don’t gain more weight than you “ought to,” before I had a baby and gained 45 lbs (which I lost within two months of giving birth) even though I ate as healthily as I could. Your body is just not the same afterwards.

I am 25 going on 26 now and though I am the same adult weight as I’ve always been, though I wear my sunscreen, don’t smoke and rarely ever drink, I see my body changing in ways I wouldn’t have expected.

Believe people when they tell you there’s a wall for women. That way you don’t waste your youth or feel shocked when you start aging in your 20s. If you don’t? Lucky you. Feel grateful. But that’s not the case for most of us.

- Depends on a lot of factors and I'll mention them in response to the next questions
Is there even really a wall or is it more like a door to the 2nd hand market?
- In order to better understand, try replacing "The Wall" with "The amount of negotiating power you have in order to secure a quality partner with whom to start a family in a long-term, committed relationship". Women have everything they need in order to attract a mate at a young age. For argument's sake, let's say 22 years old. They have their youth, their beauty, their health, their fertility, their easygoingness, their coquettishness, and their lack of negative baggage (e.g., divorce, children from past relationship, baby daddy drama). Things that tend to draw men in for LTRs. At that age, women have as many options as they could possibly have. It's only a matter of choosing the right mate. Unfortunately, Father Time gives you everything up front and those traits generally decrease over time. The rate of decrease varies depending on genetics and lifestyle. As women age, they have less bargaining power over the men who would be suitable long-term partners, especially if they assume that the caliber of men they could hook up with are the same caliber of men who will LTR them.
- Aside from decreasing looks, the more negative things a woman brings to the relationship table, the less likely a man will take her up on that offer. Or at best, said men will entertain something casual with her and nothing more.
- Something that may surprise women is that men of value will raise their standards compared to when they had nothing. Men who have something to offer start raising their standards for the women who they intend to marry/LTR and/or have children with. This tends to frustrate a lot of 35+ year old women who are ready to settle down but find themselves bouncing from short term to short term relationship and unable to secure something serious. The men who do want something serious are not the men they want. The men they want start turning them away.
- If you're a woman who wants an ambitious, attractive, $150k+ earning man, who is going to treat you right, you need to compete because there are less of that type of man than there are women who want to date said man. And you as a woman were most competitive before your looks faded, before you gained 30+ pounds, before you got jaded from getting into shitty relationships, before you had children from previous relationships, before you took on significant debt which will fall on a future partner to fix. On top of that, you're now competing with women who are younger than you and a man who wants multiple children might prioritize younger women over you.
- It may not be a hard wall (i.e., women don't just become invisible at 30 years old). However, there is a point where there is a bit of a barrier for LTR and it should be acknowledged. For some women, they'll still have suitors even at an older age. I say this as someone who dated a handful of women who were closer to 40 while in his early 30s. They had a lot going for them, though (e.g., relatively attractive, slender, no debt, strong savings, positive outlook on life, fun personality, great in the bedroom) that made them a strong draw. Those women are rare, though, and I'm personally more likely to find desirable traits in women who are sub 30 years old.
- Do men have a wall too?
- Because men are the ones who bring tangibles to a LTR/marriage, they have more control over the Wall, similar to how women have some control over their respective Wall if they prioritized their healthy/looks. There will be plenty of women who are drawn to a man who raised his career/finances to become a secure partner. Men are more likely to be the provider type in a relationship, so becoming wealthy/successful can make him desirable for an LTR.

As with all things in the manosphere, people tend to look at the extremes as the only possibilities. The Wall™ is either something completely real and all women end up hitting it, or it's a revenge fantasy and it's absolutely made-up incel bullshit.

IMHO, it's a real thing that gets blown out of proportion. It is obvious that most women will get more positive male attention when they are 21 years old than when they are 40 years old. Assuming that the woman is single and wants that kind of attention, she will naturally become annoyed at the fact that she isn't in her prime anymore.

However, it is also not as strong a phenomenon as some guys like to pretend it is. Plenty of 40 y/o women are still very attractive, and they also are (or should be) wiser and way more interesting than the average 20 y/o woman. It's delusional to think that the options vanish once a woman hits a certain age.

That being said, I do think that there is a clear difference between how the so called sexual market value of men and women change over time. And it is true that men tend to get more SMV (up to a certain point) as they age, while women tend to lose it as they age.

That's a pretty evident thing IMO, because men really value youthfulness and beauty more than women. Both things that tend to go down as a woman ages. While women value things like "having your shit together", status, power/money more than men. Things that tend to increase as a man ages.

So overall I'd say that The Wall™ is real, but it's not so prevalent and a woman can remain attractive and desired after 35/40. I certainly hope that I marry a woman that will still be attractive when she's 40.

I don’t know if it’s the “wall” or not, but I think past the age of somewhere between 35 and 40, the available dating pool for women drastically changes in composition. There’s a greater proportion of divorcees and single dads, or older guys who aren’t really looking for marriage/kids anymore. It’s not like when in your 20’s and the dating pool is mostly people your own age and at the same stage of life as you, looking to eventually settle down, get married, have kids etc.

I’d say it’s the same for guys but not to the same degree. Like, as women get older, the guys they dare get older in proportion to them (like whereas a 20 year old might date up to 25, a 40 year old might date up to 55), whereas the older a guy gets, the younger his partners get in proportion to him. If you’re a guy and you’re 35 and you’re only dating women your own age, you’re more likely to date divorcees and single mothers.

It follows the half your age + 7 rule combined with the fact women typically don’t go for younger guys

The wall is primarily about fertility and relationship compatibility. As women get older they become less agreeable (same with men) and less fertile after about 35. The problem becomes which sex is more tolerant of disagreeable traits. Men generally want women to be pleasent. Women want men to be aggressive and disagreeable because it makes them feel assures the man will be able to protect her.

So the Wall is at 35-40 depending on how you take care of your fertility. Men that you want will have better choice. You probably will have to change your standards after 35 (maybe even after 30) IF you want to get married. This is why having father's and mother's pick your future partner is a better way to go generally.

The wall only applies to people who have heavily cashed in on their youth and looks in a fairly superficial way. I guess it's a delayed onset of adulthood? Those women can still enjoy attention their looks bring them after 30, it just gets a little sadder then. The real wall for women is middle age. That's when women universally report not getting harassed or hit on anymore. They "become invisible" (like guys are now). It's more like 40's or 50's not 30. And they tend to find it a reprieve.

I'm sympathetic to a lot of RP but The Wall is one of Red Pill's goofiest concepts.

I don’t think women really hit a wall moreso that the 30s Chads prefer a woman in her 20s for family purposes/looks. Woman in their 30s are also more flexible on going lower In age than in their 20s (a 35F probably doesn’t mind dating a 30M, but most 27F would be against dating a 22M).

So, it would be delusional to think men look better in their 30s rather than 20s for sure. It’s just the average 30M+ dating pool is expanded significantly and more chads are taken out of womens reach. Women will always have it easier, it’s just the 30s tend to be a little better for men compared to their 20s.

edit: also wanna add that i believe that “the wall” is a concept geared towards rating people of european descent. minorities, on average, do not seem to struggle as much with declining so drastically in looks as they age.

Oh men have a wall alright. I'm in my mid to late 30's and every other dude my age looks worn the fuck out and pushing 45. They clearly let themselves go just as much as the women by their side. I don't wanna blame having kids and settling down too early, but I know doing those two things tend to really age men and women.

The fertility wall for women is the second wall and that's usually when the biological clock starts ticking in her early thirties, after that it gets a lot riskier and there may involve procedures and everything like that so yeah

Most women are attracted to guys around their age and guys around their age are still willing to have sex with women around their age, especially as most younger women don't want anything beyond sugaring from older men. So for all intents and purposes, The Wall doesn't really exist for women.

It exists in the minds of young men who are no longer attracted to women once they start to look older, but even then, many guys will still have sex with a MILF, so The Wall even from young men's perspective is not some kind of absolute thing, but more like a preference for younger women over older women.

There's no particular wall that hits at a certain point, people just look worse over time and their priorities shift as they age. Luckily, they can usually find other people their age who also look worse now, have similar priorities and are generally more compatible than younger people would be for them. Most of us are not going to be a cougar or silver fox, we'll be shitty-looking middle- and old-aged men and women who are unlikely to be able to date and have sex with hot young people any more but are unlikely to particularly want to either.

The wall exists for both men and women in terms of physical attraction, due to how human aging works it seems like women hit it a couple of years earlier than men when it comes to skin quality and other things that deal with age. Things like drugs, drinking, and such can accelerate the rate that both men and women seem to hit the wall but genetics also plays a role.

I think the real wall for women is by if they can secure a man that they desire to have a family with, we all know that women can get sex easy, but the real test is if they can get a man who they think they would be happy having children with. If they could do this at one point and cannot later they have hit the wall.

Also I know on here a lot of the women plan on never having kids which is fine but I also don't know how much of it is cope since they can't afford to due to rising living costs or lack of a partner.

Women still age worse, sexually, than men do. On average. The Wall is still pointing at something that has always been real. But the Wall refers to a change in a woman's attractiveness COMPARED TO ITSELF. It does not mean that women necessarily have a lower SMV than men at any time.

Furthermore, changes in lifestyle and technology have made the Wall typically less steep, and even delayed its onset. Women don't do hard labor all their life, or birth 5 kids and nurse them by age 30-35.

So individual genetics and upkeep matter more. There is a lot more difference between women with respect to the Wall now. Furthermore, given changing female attitudes, the male ageing advantage is smaller than ever. And again, individual variance matters more--a lot more women age sexually better than men do now.

It depends. Apparently older people still somehow sometimes get together. But it is also obvious that after a certain age women just loose their sex appeal, they could be walking around naked at that point, especially in regards to the younger population. I'd say men face a similar fate, maybe not as harsh.

So, in my opinion there are women who still look surprisingly sexy even in their 40s or 50s. 60s is rather rare. So, I would suggest that "the wall" is about 60 or 70 for women.

Like I said, the wall more or less means that younger people most likely won't find them sexually appealing anymore. Who knows, there could maybe be men of similar age who look for such women.
