I know too many women trying to get pregnant in their late 30s and 40s. The subreddits about infertility are awful. They used the money they earned in their career younger on treatments to get pregnant, so what is the point of developing your career younger to make money and delaying motherhood, if at the end you will spend that money on trying to get pregnant?

The question to have children shall be at the same level of the question of which career to choose. Yes, children cost money and time so they will be at a disadvantage as a woman if you have a child early, but women have have to decide if having children is more important than their career or not.

It also may make more sense to delay career than motherhood. For example, a woman in her 30s with teenager kids can easily get into college and make a career (even supposing she did nothing but being a mother meanwhile!). Meanwhile, a woman that spend her most fertile years in a career will not have it easy to get pregnant years later.

No, freezing eggs doesn't work most of the time. Many eggs die, many embryos don't stick, the uterus is weaker, and miscarriages are common. It is also unlikely you will be able to pay for surrogacy or donated eggs.

Sure, men should also deal with this, but usually women deal with 99% of issues with pregnancy, so it is a greater question and responsibility for women. This is also mostly about women's body ability to have children, which is constrained by many variables.

Some women here may argue that it is not anyone's business to say this, and I'm not entitled to tell women what to do with their bodies, but that is not the point. If you have an autistic or disabled child because you get pregnant late in life, it does affect us all. If you spend thousands on fertility treatments, it probably affects your family finances too. It is also likely the taxpayers are having a greater burden dealing with a woman with health issues because she is pregnant in her late 30s or 40s. So, it does affect everyone surrounding the woman, beside the woman and the child if it is born after all.

TLDR: Women shall decide if they want to be moms early in life, or choose to not have children at all. Letting the question to chance or "maybes", or conditionals such as getting a perfect timing that may never come, is a receipt for disappointment, health risks and huge costs.
