The moderators deleted her post. Probably because of all of the women telling her to leave.

I’ve been noticing for awhile now that in several popular subs like this one, the stories that make men look bad are being deleted.

The men’s rights sub had a popular post complaining that AITA made men look bad in general... I wouldn’t be surprised if they were brigading.

Men make themselves look bad. They're pretty good at it
[–]getrippeddiemirinFDS Newbie 122 points123 points124 points 5 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link
It’s the one thing they consistently show up and do 🤷🏻♀️

Haha yeah that was the problem! The OP was word for word "Women keep posting these stories about men making them look bad!!"
Like, my dude, you're half way there to realising that maybe... your sex is fucking terrible to women!?
[–]berryberrykicksFDS Apprentice 27 points28 points29 points 5 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link
Nah, the problem isn’t that they’re awful people. The problem isn’t even that their victims are unhappy with their terrible behavior. The problem, obviously, is that their victims express their unhappiness.
Everything would be just fine if women would just endure the abuse in silence.
Duh.
It’s still frightening and surprising to me that this is sincerely how men think.
[–]SoybeanApocalypseFDS Newbie 86 points87 points88 points 5 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link
What exactly are they even complaining about? "Even on this male-dominated website all of the stories (from individual anonymous people) involve men doing terrible things, this is unacceptable and it should stop!"
They're just complaining that literal reality doesn't make them look good. Whose fault is that? Jfc
[–]SearchLightsIncFDS Apprentice 8 points9 points10 points 5 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link
That women were posting stories about their personal experiences with men that made them look bad lol

Are you surprised about that on a sub where “manchild” is a bannable “slur”?
[–]eatchickpeasFDS Newbie 35 points36 points37 points 5 years ago (2 children) | Copy Link
it drives me mad how mods are censoring women because it makes men upset. this woman gave birth to a child for partner and he has the nerve to ask for an extra stitch...
[–]T5ubakiFDS Newbie 19 points20 points21 points 5 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link
I left all of the dating subs because calling men trash, f*ckboy, manchild, etc. is a bannable offense. Even if you are describing being harassed by them and only them and even if you say "but I'm not talking about all men." They banned the word slut, but you still can call women everything else under the sun though. They don't even seem to do anything about men that leave horrible comments on every post! Smh, glad I left. Advice was just a pickme helping out more pickmes.
[–]oscine23FDS Newbie[S] 2 points3 points4 points 5 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link
On FB, when complaining about men, women have to spell it like 'm3n' or 'nem', or some variation thereof, because otherwise, the algorithm will detect it and they will get banned for 30 days.

I know this is the excuse they give, but this isn’t at all the truth once you start paying more attention to what is being deleted. There are posts with tens of thousands of upvotes and hundreds of comments, that coincidentally don’t make men look bad, which are never deleted.

Her family is also a freaking mess. Unless he paraphrased the whole thing so he'd sound like the good guy, she really needs to gtfo of there or reconsider if she wants these 'family members' in her life anymore.

Apparently at the beginning of the relationship she was working two jobs plus studying while the scrote was just working a part-time and his family were giving her the dribble about hoping she was a good housewife and giving him a good house💀. Also he's in the military and he's not going to pay child support as custody would probably be 50/50 in case of a divorce.

My doctor was a woman and our very first obgyn appointment, she aggressively informed my husband with her finger in his face that under no circumstances would he ever suggest “an extra stitch,” not even as a joke. And if he was to upset me in any way during the labor or delivery, he would be escorted off the premises by security. My husband had never heard of the extra stitch and was horrified and embarrassed. He just stuttered and said he understood.
Anyway, ladies. Lesson: Get yourself a female obgyn.

They’re not actually sewing the vagina tighter, just the entrance into it. I read some accounts of women having to be torn open again because the stitches prevented the vaginal opening from fully relaxing, making sex agonizing. The scar tissue itself, if not stichted properly, can cause massive sexual dysfunction.
All in all, she should divorce the maggot, making sure to write down exactly why she is divorcing him.

I don’t use male doctors period
[–]berryberrykicksFDS Apprentice 6 points7 points8 points 5 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link
I’ve had one male doctor that I felt genuinely respected and listened to me. But the last specialist I saw reduced to me to tears in his office.
I was so upset that when the nurse came in to talk to me, she asked if I needed to talk to someone about him. She was so quiet and soothing and sincere.
She was worried something inappropriate had happened, because I was so distraught.
He was insensitive and dismissive even after I told him that he wasn’t listening to me. But he didn’t touch me inappropriately or say anything sexual or explicit.
The fact that there are doctors that assault their patients makes me sick. I felt an actual wave of nausea as I typed that previous sentence.
My best friend once told me that she was struggling, because one of the young women that she managed had confessed that she was just attacked by her doctor. That’s not how the young woman described it, but she was so clearly assaulted. I was sobbing by the end of the story.
My friend and I were both mourning for this young woman and all the women who had suffered like her. And, unfortunately, all the women who will suffer like her in the future.
Even now, I have tears gathering at the corner of my eyes. Today has been hard for some reason. I was crying in therapy yesterday about the shooting in Atlanta. Maybe I just need to make some space to give in to the grief for a moment.

Besides that, it is completely normalised, as are all the other things that get done to women in maternity wards/delivery rooms. Basically, your body, your child, and anything at all related to you or your child, are seen as the property of the hospital, and should you demand to have any choice in the matter, you are seen unreasonable, unstable and a criminal for trying to defeat their purposes.

I don’t know if this helps with the fear, but when I asked my husband if I should ask our OB not to do a daddy stitch (they work together, both docs) he was shocked and said “no reputable physician would even consider doing one”. He also said our OB might be a little offended at the question, since the implication would be that we/he thought he was a shitty doctor that willingly mutilates his patients. So when the time comes, I hope you find an OB that is absolutely disgusted by the very idea of a husband/daddy stitch.

He has a small penis. It’s as simple as that.
Please, ladies, do me this one small favor: if a man makes a comment about “loose” vaginas, call him out immediately for having a tiny penis.
If a man truly had Big Dick Energy, it would never even occur to him to joke about the size of your vagina.
There are no loose vaginas, only tiny penises.

Mhmm. Slutty men sleeping with too many women also causes penis shrinkage, didn't you know? If a man stays a virgin til marriage, his penis will stay the right size, but if he sticks it into a ton of different vaginas, eventually the tissue gets compressed and he ends up with a cocktail weenie. Uhhhhh the "husband stich" makes sex VERY painful for most women after. It doesnt make you tighter it just makes the opening smaller and less able to stretch.... I was wondering as I read about the husband stitch in the above comment! How would this be a good idea? Also aren’t we just talking about the entrance skin? This has hardly anything to do with the actually “tight” experience during sex...or at I missing something?
Ugh, men are gross, doctors are gross. I’m so sorry you had this done to you.
[–]StarfishSabbaticalPickmeisha™️ 87 points88 points89 points 5 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link
I imagine for the same reasons they beg for anal. The only tightness there is from the sphincter. And add all the other unpleasantness...why bother? (Hint: it is more to do with power than pleasure.)
[–]KAT_85FDS Newbie 68 points69 points70 points 5 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link
Yeah they're basically talking about the entrance skin... and slightly inside... so women who have the extra stitch sometimes end up with a painful stretching burning sensation whenever they have sex and no additional tightness internally at all. The scar tissue from repaired tearing hurts bad enough for the first few months, I can't imagine having to deal with this as well.

Yes my dr did it without my knowledge and I had no idea I couldn’t have vaginal sex until I met my first serious boyfriend after my son was born (3 years later) and we tried too have sex,
Sex was extremely painful and I had a scar under the vaginal opening where it looked pinched shut, a plastic surgeon was able to help me allot thankfully and make me feel and look much better and after that I had my second son without stitches or anything.
My obgyn at my 6 week postpartum appointment had said “wow they stitched you up tight” and asked if I was experiencing discomfort, she dint use any instruments that day and so I said no because I dint know sex was painful yet, but that should’ve been a red flag for me

Genital mutilation is always no big deal when women are on the receiving end.
Then the doctors go off on evil women for wanting planned c-sections when, in fact, planned non emergency c section has the best outcome for women and babies.
I don't want to risk permanent urine and fecal incontinence, clit torn in half, and then ridicule for being "too loose" and research shows c section only births have minimal risk for all of that.
[–]McccyFDS Disciple 100 points101 points102 points 5 years ago (13 children) | Copy Link
This comment made me realise how little birth's negative outcomes are being talked about. No one tells you that you will pee yourself and bathroom trips in general will also be painful for a bit, or how you'll have random aches for weeks, or how heavy and tired your body will feel.
They only promote the whole "You hold your baby and you instantly magically love it and breastfeeding is also a very easy magical experience"

I legit have never been told that your vagina gets stitched up afterwards, not by school, not at college, not by friends who've had kids or any of the media. I was today years old when I learned this. And that she was awake for it??

One of the big issues and reasons this happens SO much in our culture is the completely wrong position women are placed in to give birth. A natural birth position is a squat (standing or hands and knees and other variations). Being placed on your back forces the baby to come out in a way that promotes tearing and causes more pain. Also women shouldn't be coached to push during unaugmented labour, that's what contractions are, it's what they're for. You don't push a baby out your contractions move the baby through the birth canal.

Surely there are chairs for this? Support the mother with room for the baby to come?
[–]NurseBubbleGumFDS Apprentice 25 points26 points27 points 5 years ago (2 children) | Copy Link
Yeah and they tend not to use anything to numb it up unless you bitch.
[–]BbeautifulbitchFDS Newbie 6 points7 points8 points 5 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link
Seriously??? When would doctors do stitches in any other circumstances without numbing?!?!
[–]NurseBubbleGumFDS Apprentice 14 points15 points16 points 5 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link
A lot would. They'll assume your anesthesia still works or try to rush through without numbing you because it's just "a few pokes".
If it were the head of the penis though...they'd have a moderate sedation or full blown anesthesia. Fuckers.

I got a lot of “horror” stories from my friends and family who had kids. From first-degree tears to fourth-degree tears, broken tailbone, incontinence, etc. ..so I always thought if I ever have a bio kid I want a planned C-section! 😩
[–]RowbloksFDS Newbie 12 points13 points14 points 5 years ago (2 children) | Copy Link
Don't c sections hurt like hell? They probably come with their set of complications too 😩
[–]StalkerPoetessFDS Newbie 9 points10 points11 points 5 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link
My mum had 3 c-sections. She couldn't care for herself or baby for weeks. Had a lot of pain. Very visible scars. And was told if she can't have a 4th child because her uterus (she has a inverted one which is the reason for the c-section) would rupture and that she'll need to get an abortion if she finds herself pregnant (which I believe because abortion is illegal in my country unless the mother is in danger or the baby is unviable. So if they gave my mum the exception then that's probably what would have happened.)
[–]mackenzie013FDS Newbie 4 points5 points6 points 5 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link
Yeah, of course they do. But, in comparison to what my friends without a C-section experienced I’d prefer to risk that. 😩

Gotta sell motherhood to women somehow amirite?
[–]mitskiismygfFDS Newbie 44 points45 points46 points 5 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link
yeah because motherhood with men is 99% of the time a terrible thing for the woman lol. the kids get to love the “fun dad” while she does all the work (while usually still working full time) and wrecks her body giving birth. only to be resented by her husband for not magically and immediately looking like she did pre-birth. there’s plenty of reasons for women to have kids, but IMO there’s no good reason for women to have kids with a man > being a single mother, or to not get a c section.

My mum is vehement against me birthing the “natural” way and suggested a planned c section due to her experiences (we both have small stature). I had no opinion on it except that I see women get shunned for getting those as it’s not a natural birth.
However, after reading about how women’s vagina rip open completely and needing stitches there... I will definitely be having a planned c section in the future.
[–]ZirniaisuspirgaisFDS Newbie 45 points46 points47 points 5 years ago (2 children) | Copy Link
Noone talks about permanent loss of orgasms either. Why risk it? Society does not care for women's pleasure.. it's not talked about except for mommy forums.

[–]ZirniaisuspirgaisFDS Newbie 12 points13 points14 points 5 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link
The vagina can tear so bad there will be permanent loss of sensation. Mothers discuss it on mommy forums, medical community doesn't bother to keep dsta on it.
[–]jcucuviv 25 points26 points27 points 5 years ago (2 children) | Copy Link
There are a lot of things women can do during a natural birth to greatly reduce the chances of tearing and damage, just so you're aware it doesn't have to be c-section or terrible birthing experience! Depending on your country women's rights in labour have gotten better since our mother's time. Medicalized childbirth is another weapon of patriarchy.

They don't "rip open" per say but a doctor can cut you from your vagina downwards to expand the space for the baby to pass through if the baby cannot fit or sth. I saw a birth video where a woman was cut with a scalpel.
[–]nosferatudeFDS Newbie 1 point2 points3 points 5 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link
If the baby is going to rip through anyway, they may cut a woman because a roughly ripped wound is worse than a clean cut (for healing after and pain levels).
However, I’ve heard of doctors starting the cut without consent and plenty of other horror stories. I’m pretty confident that it’s overused, because not everyone will tear in labor.

Up until fairly recently most doctors would refuse to do planned cesareans that weren’t medically necessary and they were mostly reserved for celebrities and the rich.
And even then it was so looked down upon that most women who did get them just out of pure preference, would understandably lie and say it was medically necessary, to avoid judgement.
Doctors can still refuse to do them unless medically necessary even now, but they must refer you to a doctor who will.

Wikipedia article says literally the demand is increasing becaue of women. Well, no shit. Statistics for c section look bad because they include emergency c's when things go south in vaginal birth. Planned c section is safest for all parties involved long and short term. I'd hate to saddle a child with cerebral palsy because I wanted to larp a long suffering sacrificial mother who will bond through pain and fecal incontinence or whatever.
[–]BbeautifulbitchFDS Newbie 3 points4 points5 points 5 years ago (2 children) | Copy Link
Sorry can you clarify? How would your kid get cerebral palsy from child birth??
[–]MixWideFDS Newbie 10 points11 points12 points 5 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link
One of the possible causes of CP is oxygen deprivation during birth.
The risks of this happening are higher for vaginal birth than for a scheduled c-section because the baby is being pushed out through a more restricted opening.
Worth noting, however, that the most current research suggested that the majority of CP cases were likely caused by problems that were present in utero, and oxygen deprivation during birthing contributes to a minority of cases.

[–]karaokekillerFDS Newbie 6 points7 points8 points 5 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link
Planned c sections still carry plenty of risks. I don't want to get into a debate but normal vaginal birth still has the better outcomes for both mother and baby.
[–]CallistoDrosera 7 points8 points9 points 5 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link
Giving birth still has some advantages i'd like to point out: - liquid untrapping from bb lungs: the pressure helps them a lot - microbiote: vaginal opening covers your bb with the right microbiote, which in its absence is linked to some problems in the future C sec: - you get stiches anyway, with a big ugly scar on your belly. And that shit hurts a lot ! (they have to push the bb out themselves, tricky) (i'm thinking about my beach body too..) - if planned, then probably general anestesia: meaning risks as always with GA. - you ll have to wait to see your baby, since in OR and probably asleep, or maybe just a glimpse over the drapes. - some liquid will / can stay in the lungs even if bb is breathing, that can lead to a number of problems, immediate and delayed.
I do think that, if you have a good reason to go for c, you should (vaginismus, head/pelvis ratio, trauma, big big fears... And so on) i mean its up to you. I just dont want to romenticise c sections because it's not all perfect at all !!
I'd love to see the study on planned c sections. How long term are we talking ?
Ps: please dont give me trash, im completly against the stiching and just trying to give some info
[–]ZirniaisuspirgaisFDS Newbie 2 points3 points4 points 5 years ago* (0 children) | Copy Link
Oh, I'm not denying the existence of advantages at all. My main concern would be the lack of microbiota.
But truth is, after vaginal birth, 30% of women develop urine incontinence, 5% develop fecal incontinence, and loss of orgasms because of physical damage is also known to occur. I'd prioritise my health and happiness in the first place.
A horizontal cut leaves pretty minimal marks, it's the vertical one that stands out a lot.
I must have misremembered the study. C section carries slightly more risk than planned vaginal. However I have found conflicting results. The lsrgest known study in china showed no significant differences between the two. In the west, maternal obesity skews the risks if surgical method is my guess.
"In a retrospective cohort study of 66,266 patients on mode of delivery in China where 24.7% of women underwent cesarean delivery on maternal request, there were no significant differences between the cesarean delivery on maternal request and planned vaginal delivery groups in the frequencies of maternal intensive care unit admission (0.2% versus 0.2%), severe postpartum hemorrhage (0.5% versus 0.5%), maternal infection (1.3% versus 1.3%), organ injuries (0.4% versus 0.5%), and thromboembolic disorders (0.1% versus 0.1%); there were no maternal deaths in either group"
The websites pushing for natural birth are silent on loss of sexual function and downplay incontinence.

Maybe if he’d been an attentive husband, he would have given her a perineal massage which helps reduce the chances of an episiotomy.
I’ve honestly never heard of this, though I’m British. I’ve had a baby and I had an episiotomy (I was stitched up by the midwife). It did take a while before I wanted to have sex again. I saw a gynob (a woman) who said the scars were healing fine, though sex might still be uncomfortable.
I realise now that I have a pretty HV man because he never pestered me for sex and was happy to wait for me to be ready again. Since having sex more regularly again, he’s not actually noticed any difference in me being less “tight”, which is obviously not a thing anyway.

I'm no doctor, but I was curious and researched this stitch a bit. It's called the "husband stitch" and it isn't anything to be taken lightly. It can cause issues such as chronic pain, pain during sex, and bleeding. If you've ever heard of what a malfunctioning bladder sling can do, it's very similar.
Some times, the stitch is added without the woman's consent (this was more common in the 20s, 50s, and 60s), even.
Poor woman, the fact that his sexual pleasure over ruled her health and bodily integrity is a very, very bad sign. She needs to take her beautiful baby and run from that man and his family as fast as she can.

'The husband stitch' as it's infamously known as, has been known to cause long term complications and extreme pain for the women whom doctor's and husbands inflict it on. There are many cases of women not even being asked or informed about it before a doctor does it to them, sometimes they even ask the husband but not the woman herself, and she may never know until she's suffering for it.
It's torturously cruel and an enormous violation of autonomy and informed consent.
