It's not something I think about often, I've been with both women who do and don't do it, and tbh to each their own. It's your body at the end of the day. I ask this because of a recent thread asking people if they’d date a gender-flipped version of themselves. A lot of male posters say they would absolutely date their female equivalent (FE), which made me wonder how hairy their FE would be.

The entire point of an equivalent is to reverse the gender roles. My female equivalent would be as good and diligent about fullfilling her gender roles as I am at fullfilling mine.

So the answer is... she wouldn't be as hairy because keeping her looks would be part of her gender role and I am diligent and good at keeping my gender role.

No. I understand that if I didn't had to work because my partner pays for everything, I would spend all the time I have making sure my partner is happy, that includes taking care of my looks. Ergo, my female equivalent would have no issue with something that trivial.

Also gender flipped doesn't mean you just copy and paste all traits. Like if you're tall and muscular with a big dick your gender flipped version isn't necessarily a tall muscular woman with a big clit.

Similarly if you are a guy with average body hair your female equivalent would be a girl with average body hair for a woman, NOT a woman with the same body hair as a man.

shave armpits yes, i'm not saying has to be DAILY, same with legs, hell winter time comes along I get not shaving your legs weekly. As well as shave/trim crotch.
As a man who has literally shaved his entire body (many times) for sports, shaving your legs and armpits is really not that difficult...shaving your head and face and balls are way more difficult and time consuming.
I challenge your "work into appearance) about hair and makeup, vs the work in appearance I spend (and many other men do too) in the gym (1-2hrs a day several times a week), and grooming ourselves. Not wanting to turn it into a pissing match...but you kind of did. Are there men who don't care about their appearance fuck yes...but those men are not what most women want. Most women want the guys who look put together, and take care of their bodies.

How important? Very - for me at least. It's connected with beauty and I'll certainly see a lady as less attractive if she had hairy legs and armpits than if she hadn't. Sex is also more enjoyable for me with trimmed/shaved/waxed pubic hair (feels better, smells better, and less/no hair in my mouth while eating her out).

Legs, arms, armpits, and facial hair would bother me, if she was one of the rare women that it grows thick enough and dark enough to really be easily visible. But for most women that just isn't an issue.

That being said, I think I would be justified in expecting her to shave those parts even if she was one of the women who needed to shave, since I keep my face clean shaven, shave my chest, and keep most of my body hair at least trimmed short. Obviously I have more body hair than most women, but adjusting for sexual dimorphism, I think the female equivalent of me would have very minimal body hair.

It's important. Everyone I've dated has had no problem with grooming and hygiene; my most recent ex waxed on her own accord. The only time I've been with a girl who didn't shave was in high school and she admitted it's only because she didn't think to.

It doesn't seem like a big deal. I trim my beard, chest, pits, and shave downstairs. I go to the gym, eat healthy, and stay in shape.

If you don't want to remove some hair for whatever reason, that's cool, but not my thing.

In the past I have dated a couple of women who preferred not to shave, and their hair was longer than mine in these places. I found it kinda gross to look at, but it didn’t feel right to bring this up, and it certainly wasn’t a deal breaker for me as they had numerous other qualities to fall back on.

It is in your best interest and really not much effort, especially because women have much less hair than men. really, you can just apply cream and have the hair removed every few weeks or keep them constantly short. women barely have hair on legs and do not have hair on their torso. being clean shaven as a man is much more work.But I think your question is off. You cant just flip genders and assign them the same specific efforts. Women being clean shaven gives them an advantage, men not so much. men want women to be clean shaven, women do not care if men are shaven. these things just do not equate because the sexes are attracted to different traits, especially when it comes to gender specific stuff like body hair.

You can say women put in lots of effort into their appearance, but the thing is that it pays off big time, while for men the impact is much lower. men simply can not put on make up to draw on attractive attributes and male hair simply does not benefit from that much effort. the only things men can do to improve their appearance is to be clean, have masculine and well maintained hair and clothing.

Its important to note that while women put in lots of time into their looks, men put in lots of time into selfimprovement aswell. Most male improvable qualities are non physical beyond cleanliness. thats often entirely overlooked by women. women do not need to spend time on non looks related stuff to have any positive implications in the male eye.

Ngl, unless you have an abnormally obvious amount of hair somewhere I couldn't care less( like a full mustache, or a giant unibrow)

I keep my hair low in all areas, but prefer it if a woman keeps her armpit/leg hair lower.

It's not very important to me. I would only consider a woman not shaving her legs unusual if she wore shorts or short skirts without tights to school, work, social events, &c. I don't think I've ever met a woman who does this. An immediately visible mustache would also be unusual, though in my experience women universally wax their mustache if they have significant hair there. I don't care about women shaving armpits or anywhere else.

As other posters have said, a "gender-flipped" version of myself would follow gender norms as much as I do. She would have the personality of a woman & would most likely shave her legs & armpits.

My wife has never shaved her legs or pits and has only ever worn makeup for stage performances. It's a quality that attracted me to her. We both have naturalist tendencies.

Armpits yes, face/eyebrows (if necessary), legs are not mandatory I guess but usually women do it anyways.
