I'm somewhat tired of being a virgin as I'm approaching 21 years old, but I don't see myself to do anything to change this situation. I'm not even as lazy as I thought I was before going to a 8-month streak of non stop work in menial jobs in which I ended up doing shifts that forced me to sleep in the train station at night multiple times. Infact I even realized that my mental and physical endurance are quite good (despite having moderate major depression and dysthymia) for example, if I had the chance I could work 100hrs a week if I got paid high enough.

There's something we have to address about the nature of discussion between genders. It's the part where we will talk differently in a group of only men or only women, then we talk in a shared space.

Now, I think most people have an innate understanding of this, but let me throw it out there anyway. You don't need to spend too much time in a community like that to understand. The basic difference is that in the shared space, people will say things with an expectation that there will be someone responding back saying they were hurt, or that they care about the thing that was said. This manifests 2 ways: usually people are more empathetic and careful with their language to not be purposefully cruel, and the second way, sometimes they will be purposefully cruel, because they want the hurt reaction.

That second one can be trolling by the way. The word can does some heavy lifting though, because it's technically only trolling if they are cruel in a way they don't actually believe, and who is to say what someone else truly believes? So only the most obvious versions of it get removed, while hundreds of potentially trolling or borderline trolling messages remain. Worse yet, sometimes they are genuine, and the person is fulling showing their ass to make someone else uncomfortable.

Now, going back to the point about carefulness of language, a good example is often seen on r/twox, when women will complain about how they are ranting, and then get comments from men complaining about it. What you see there is a misalignment of expectation. The women thought they didn't have to be careful because they were in a women dominated space, the men thought it was a space where they should have known/expected men to read it. Hilariously, the most common refrain when this happens is "not every space should be a space that has to accommodate men", when you'd think it's not really asking for accommodation, only the decency to act like there is a chance your words will hurt someone.

Here I should note: a lack of carefulness in language =/= a person's true thoughts and feelings. If anything, it's the opposite. Often times when people are ranting and raving, they exaggerate for effect and say things they will admit are hyperbolic. If you want to truly know their thoughts, look for what they say when they are genuine, and carefulness and and being genuine are good bedfellows.

Encountered a unicorn on a delivery. Woman was wearing a modest dress, was pretty, didn’t try to make any stupid small talk for the entire ~90 seconds I loaded up her utility cart, and sounded genuinely thankful for the service.
