As I’ve aged (I’m a 30 year old male), I’ve seen numbers increase drastically, especially in the last 4-5 years.

People constantly talk about a high count, yet that seems relative based on age and different perspectives.

For example, if I were 20 and a woman told me she had been with 7 guys, I would think that was a lot. To achieve that number at 20 she likely had casual sex.

However now at 30 if she said she had been with 7 guys, that would indicate someone who likely didn’t have casual sex, ONS, etc (someone who has sex in a relationship).

You have people who marry young or get in 5-6 year long relationships, which keeps their numbers down & then you have some who are single through most of your 20’s.

My question is your thoughts on this.

What’s your age and what # do you find high or “too much”?

EDIT: This post has caught a lot of traction. I personally am not in the game of shaming individuals for having a “hight count”. I personally don’t buy into all of this “alpha / beta” stuff either - which I’m sure will trigger some people.

I’m a 30(m) and I’m not a cocky guy by any means. If I sit around and break it down - sure I have some things going for me. I’m well educated, I’m in decent shape, I’m extremely outgoing and genuine / personable”

With that being said, having sex has never been an issue for me. In fact, I intentionally turned down sex a lot in college out of what I thought was respect for my future partner. I was raised that sex was “special”. Current day, I’ve slept with 17 women (9 of which came in a 8 week period of time). I NEVER went out looking for sex, I never was on a hookup app, it just happened naturally from me being personable at bars etc.

However, as hypocritical as it is, my roots still tell me that sex is special and ideally, I would prefer a woman who has not slept with a lot of men. Once again, I’m the FIRST to admit the hypocrisy and if a woman didn’t want to date me due to me having a high number, then I would have to respect that too.
