Yeah this is not a new phenomenon. These are the "good for now" or "easy money" women. Sadly they've encompassed probably the majority of my lays since they just require so much less effort than the LTR potential ones and are quite a large portion of the dating market from my anecdotal experience.

When you're talking about some woman complaining about not being taken seriously it's ALWAYS because she's dating, or hooking up with guys way out of her league

But what does she do?

Does she date her equal to avoid that issue?

No, she keeps going back to the above average men out of her league, because they're objectively better than her equal in every way(and the point isn't that it's bad, or to bargain with women so they date-down like the blue pillers always like to straw man, the point is that women lie about it)

And that's the lie about the female nature that women collectively tell to men that got exposed by the modern dating market dynamics

Average and below average women would rather take the humiliation of living in an above average man's rotation, or remain single, than date average and below average men- their equals

The dynamics of the modern dating market have exposed that women's mating strategy revolves around the harem approach, and not the monogamy approach

Now, a lot of them of course will also settle for their equals when the babies-rabies, and a desire for comfort of a stable relationship kicks in with age, and because there aren't enough sexually attractive men to go around for all women, and to provide for all women

But those relationships will never be based on genuine sexual attraction, women will always be sexually-settling when dating the non-above average men:

1 Because women consider the majority of men sexually repulsive, which was proven beyond any doubt by dating apps

2 And because even below average women can easily have sex with above average men

It’s hard for me to imagine this playing out in reality, because in most cases an attractive woman wouldn’t need to ‘lead a man on’ in order to get him into bed. I’ve had a crush on this one girl for years, she was dating a friend of mine and once they broke up a few months ago I asked her out - she just straight up said she didn’t want to date me, but was open to having sex. Obviously I did, even though I initially wanted something more serious.

If she had led me on and promised something romantic, that would definitely have been hurtful. But also it would have been completely unnecessary, because i was more than willing to have casual sex with her. So I struggle to imagine the type of woman who would use fuck boy tactics on me if they just wanted sex, she would have to be a straight up sadist. I guess the answer is that it would be very painful though.

Here’s the thing. Men and women are different, so the equivalent isn’t exactly the same thing for the opposite gender.

Sex is easy to come by for women; it’s generally not for men - it’s a harder to get. A woman may feel used if someone was seeing and misleading her purely for sex. A guy is going to feel more accomplished (not always, but in general).

The equivalent feeling you’re describing for a guy is probably feeling used for his resources/stability. For example, someone is interested in him now because he’s stable/secure, and she is ready to settle down, but she might not have given him the time of day when they were younger or if she was simply looking for a short term or passionate encounter. And it happens all the time.

All things being equal I'd want a serious, long term relationship with someone who deeply loves me, but I wouldn't turn down someone whose attitude towards me is "Look, I have a new person every month, but it'll be a pretty fun few weeks for both of us."

I think the harm these kinds of people cause comes from lying and not admitting they just want casual sex. Being treated like a sex object is less offensive if the other person is also a sex object to you and both of you understand that from the start. Casual sex that everyone wants is just FWB. Casual sex with the pretense of a long term relationship is a situationship.

As a man I've been "used for sex" in a sense (not a situationship but an assault by another man). For me it wasn't necessarily being used "just for sex" since I was looking for a casual encounter anyway. Rather it was the lies and coercion of going on a public dinner date to gauge compatibility first and then being threatened into doing things I didn't want.

One of the most shocking things about it was his admission that "We might never see each other again." as his justification for what he did. It was his intentions from the start to forcibly turning a casual dinner date into casual "sex"(ual assault) that offended me, not the idea that I turned him on as a body rather than a person.

It would be great if the expectations were clear upfront, then I wouldn't have any problems with it.
