A lot of woman believe that men all inherently have power, but this is a bias developed over only observing the top men. I think they don’t realize how much leverage their femininity gives them over everyday life, and how they would probably be disadvantaged as an average male. Take the average 5/10 girl in this sub and turn them into the exact 5/10 software developer male equivalent, her soul is gonna get crushed. Women aren’t required by law to sign up for the draft. I think they should greatly appreciate this advantage, but it should also be dismantled. No one should be required to sign up for the draft. Fighting in wars should be voluntary.

Women get the advantage of perceived as safe and non threatening. Men are rarely hired as nannies or babysitters. If a child is lost or needs help in say Target and a woman approaches and tries to help it’s seen as kind and caring. If a man approaches he’s a predator a child molester. The other day someone posted on next door neighbor in my area that they saw an older gentleman sitting on a bench in the park for a few hours ”watching” kids and they were thinking of calling the police. It sounded to me like a lonely old grandma, if it was woman no one would have thought twice. Ever watch a movie and see where male killers bring along a woman so people feel safer going with them? People trust women more and they distrust men.

To me the two biggest advantages women have is that there’s multiple lanes of attractiveness to exist that people will specifically like you for. There are men that are attracted to fat, skinny, tall, short, baby faced, strong jawed, brown, yellow, white women etc.

*A short man can be attractive but he is not desired for his shortness, it is either a negative or a neutral factor that the woman is overlooking. *

The second and I’ll admit I wish I was more intelligent to convey this point but alas; there aren’t as many hurdles for a woman to engage in socialization/community building. It’s far more easier to be accepted in new communities, hobbies, and social groups if you’re a woman especially if these are mixed gender groups.

Men take for granted the default level of trust/respect they get from listeners when they're explaining.

I worked in a hardware store and I lost count of how many times people would need help but ask me if there was a man around that would "know what they're talking about". Hah 😄 some of the most knowledgeable coworkers I got the pleasure of working with were women and they had to try harder to get through to people.

And we had some airhead males that'd be taken more seriously and build rapport seamlessly, only for the customer to come back in annoyed that the recommendation didn't work.

BUT, I'll flip it on myself and say I took for granted how much work was delegated to the men around me as a consequence.

Ima do both :

Men take for granted the fact their overall better athletic condition, and they're designed for that while women have to take the toll of being a walking incubator (mood swings, periods, being designed not just for yourself optimally, but you AND the offspring).

Also, while they never had to, taking good pictures is hard. To get some good ones, and I mean by that decent I'd wash my hair, put on the gel, do my skincare routine, then proceed to take about 200 photos to get 3 that I like to put on old. And even then it feels average. I can imagine how it is for women, but at some point it feels forced too. For all the stuff I don't like about being a man, I don't feel like complaining because I wouldn't want to be a woman either.

Women take for granted the attention of men. Being listened, helped at moving stuff, not expected to be successful (although it have the other way around another problem), having the option of going up in social class. Being more likely to be believed over a man, too. And the education system have a bias so glaringly obvious it's not even funny. Imagine calling sexism that there isn't enough women somewhere and incompetence of men that there's more women somewhere else. I can't count the times I've had worse grades than a girl that produced papers of worse quality either.

On sex, I can totally understand why a man offering sex is worthless, but until you get turned down for sex as a woman, you don't understand what it is to just be able to have fling on a whim, especially considering the average difference of libido (and well, the way it works is different too).

Lastly, it might be a bit of a meme on this sub, but I see it often irl, an awful lot of them would rather chase the attention of an attractive man, and when he tells them he won't commit, they won't ever touch on the deep end of why, and go to the next one because that's more convenient for their egos, which can go on for years and years.

Edit : how could I forget taking long night walks, it's even something I really like to do personally.

My controversial take is that men have it hard online because they don't know how to present themselves, but women have it "hard" only because they don't know how or care to vet in the right ways, which is a much easier problem to solve. The presentation fix will lead to more matches, but I've found that still does not lead to many quality dates—and that's the end of what a man has control over. Conversely, if a woman learns to use online dating effectively, she still has most of the autonomy, and can (I believe) get what she wants.

I'm not a woman so it's hard for me to say this definitively, but watching how my friends use apps, I think they would "fix" all of their complaints with some pretty trivial adjustments, compared to what's required for men to get the kind of relationship they're after.

Physical strength.I don't think men realise that the fact that they are stronger than us (average, there are some low stamina dude) is something that is often in our mind. When we go home at night, and a man is walking behind us (I make a knuckles from my keys, I know it's silly :D) , or when dangerous looking man (drunk, drugged, agressive etc) starst to say pervert stuff. Or when we have an intense argument with men. Or just the fact that sometimes we have ask a man to help, because something is too heavy. It's always there. It's not something that can be dismantled, it's just how it is.

As a woman, it's more normalized for us to love babies and children, and to interact with ones we see in public. Whereas for men the same behavior is looked at with more suspicion.

Something men have over women that isn't talked about a lot is more of a normalization of sexual rejection. When a man can't get laid (not like for years on end but just a fair amount of trying and failing), that sucks, but at least there's a narrative where that's normal. As a woman, the message you hear is that men want casual sex more than you, and the only way you can seek out sex and struggle to find it is if you're hideously ugly or if you have high standards that rule out a large majority of men. I think a lot of men don't realize how isolating this can feel.

I see both of these advantages as good things that I would want everyone to have regardless of gender.

Men take for granted physical superiority and safety when alone.

Women take for granted being placed on a pedestal by wider society (excluding the infinitesimal minority of deranged rapists), and kind favors by men.

It gets to a woman's head more often then not. That's why you'd be hard pressed to find a man who's entitled purely because he is a man (not to say Entitled men don't exist, preppy yuppies are a thing), but there are leagues of women who are entitled simply because they are women.

They get used to that pedestal treatment, they take it for granted. You see that entitlement from the lowest trashiest hood rat hoes all the way to senators.

The most obvious female advantage is ease of procuring casual sex. Sure, many women have no desire for casual sex and many women wish that they could lock down the guys who they desire most into relationships when said men have no intention to commit, but enough women enjoy commitment-free casual sex and have had enough positive casual sex experiences that they speak fondly of that it's certainly an advantage compared to the average man who desires these experiences even more yet struggles to have them.

Women are also likely to still be treated more lightly by the justice system. The gap in treatment in the genders might be narrowing, but I would still argue that women probably have some preferential treatment compared to men when judges issue sentencing.

On the other hand, women get harassed much more than men do, at least as adults. Sure, I got bullied some by other boys when I was young. But once I was out of high school other men basically left me alone because they devoted their time to finding a career and trying to have sex with women. Women are consistently harassed throughout their childbearing years by other men and it's something that as a man I'm glad that I don't have to put up with. Despite the advantages I listed of being a woman, I still think that it's much easier to be a man.

While standing to urinate is a plus, I otherwise hate my penis and testicles. I dislike being large and clumsy. I dislike the excessive hair everywhere, but on my head. I cannot give birth. Wherever I go, people are suspicious of me and fear me. Being around children is regarded with suspicion. I cannot wear beautiful clothes or makeup that make me feel feminine instead of clownish. I am expected to know how to repair things and enjoy sports.

I realize that these are all the things I dislike about being male, which was not the IP, so flip it. That's the life of women that I wish I had.

One difference between men and women is definitely the fact that when a woman asks you to smell something, it usually smells pleasant.

Men take for granted how much safer it is for us to just exist outside of our home. It can be 4 AM and I'm coming back home by walking and I won't fear for my safety for the most part, while a woman in the same exact situation would.

Women take for granted the level of attention and help they receive just for being women.

Side note but I so much wish I could take a few booty pics and open an onlyfans account, unfortunately tho men don't really have this option for the most part

This is a big one but the advantage that most men here don't really acknowledge is that if a man is born with low value he can easily become a high-value man through hard work if he wasn't born with severe handicaps or disabilities. Whereas women's most of a woman value as a potential partner is quite static and often can only go downwards. The caveat to this is that nowadays 40-60 of men are losers or painfully mediocre so the supply of high-value men is actually far slimmer than the number of high-value women. Keeping this in mind is probably why red pill has a higher success rate than fds in the long term because after a while most high-value men will be off the market-leading women to have to compromise more than men.

I've noticed this a lot with relationships in my friend group and through the people I meet. For an example, this guy in my friend group broke up with his girlfriend and they're both pretty high value (attractive, good earning potential, have their own, or don't live with their parents). Since their break up she's been in 2 failed relationships while he has only had one who he is about to marry . Now the marriage aspect isn't what I want to focus upon it's the quality of the partners since their break up.

Friend A's boyfriends were either really good-looking or kind or well off never all three. Whereas the woman friend b got involved with more often than not had all three. Even the girls he had casual flings with were often well educated, attractive (well put together at worst), and were very kind. I've noticed this pattern in my own dating and sex life along with a few of my friends. The dating market is heavily in favor for men who women actually desire and men who can become desireable .

Tl;Dr A man's value as a prospective mate is more dynamic than a woman's. Therefore an average man who seeks to improve himself for a potential mate will have better results than his female counterpart.
