Real life

I grew up blue pilled af and never had success with girls while seeing the assholes get all the women.

At some point I hit the gym and became more of an asshole and suddenly I’m noticed. Before then i had been told I was too nice by girls.

Mind you I never even heard of redpill at the time. But once i did I realized it’s core principles are accurate.

I think it goes too far and there are way too many extremist but it’s core beliefs show up in everyday life.

I was previously never successful in relationships, and thought I had nothing to lose. It told me things that were in direct conflict with my current mindset based off of advice I received from my parents, my sister, all the girls I liked up until that point, media I consumed, etc.

I adopted some of it and landed a pretty attractive girlfriend by using that which I learned. We were about to graduate from college and move apart so I decided to put TRP predictions to the test. She asked me to open up emotionally and be vulnerable, and I did, and she immediately lost respect and used it against me in downright malicious way despite previously saying she wanted to marry me and drop her previous ambitions to move with me.

I continued to learn more, and the more I saw things through a red pill lens the more sense my observations made, and I became/still am wildly successful with women. This is in stark contrast to when I considered myself a hopeless romantic blue pill type.

Another reason that men gravitate to the redpill is that people who hate the redpill don't have any better answers. You can't keep telling guys just be happy alone, just be yourself, and expect that to fly. You can't expect for guys to see men we know are "bad boys" crushing it with women and just handwave that off as just some women are insecure, or they have some made up attachment style. If you have any issue with the redpill, I would suggest come up specific explanations and solutions to solve their problems.

Despite it’s abrasive and often generalistic approach, there is undoubtedly truth in TRP concepts. Namely the influence of evolutionary biology on human behaviour as well as much of the advice about pickup and dating. Other men here that have read TRP theory will likely agree that once you start reading it, you start to see it play out in the real world so blatantly and obviously.

For me I when I was 26 I was in a 4 year relationship with a single mother 32f, she cheated on me and we broke up. I was very hurt after that.

I think for most guys, we're taught to be the nice, boring, chivalrous type from our family and friends. Were taught this is what women are attracted too, but realize something isn't adding up. Why are the "bad boys" getting sex from women despite not doing any of things we're told to do to attract women. The first thing we do ask women what the problem is, but we get the usual terrible virtue signaling advice. Just be yourself, women will eventually get out of that stage, the right one will come along just wait. Basically, no explanation and no actionable advice. The red pill is the first space where someone is giving you tangle explanations of what is actually going instead of virtue signaling nonsense, and giving you something you can actually do to fix it. I know alot of people don't like the redpill, but the advice we were given from women who were closes to us, wasn't helping. Literally, I begged women close to me to give me an honest opinion and they kept saying nothing was wrong with me. It wasn't until the redpill finally put everything together that it made sense. Now I'm trying to fix everything, but it was alot of wasted years listening to the virtue signaling from those closes to me.

I discovered parts of The Rationale Male, TRP and others on my exes tablet several years ago. I was upset, confused and hurt when I discovered it, but was also curious as to why these men felt the way they did, and why they chose to embrace this methodology.

I have always had an interest in psychology and sexual behaviour and have worked extensively in the sex industry, so it piqued my interest to be able to "connect the dots" so to speak with how I relate to men who are my clients, and for future relationships so I can be my best to a man.

I think it's a common misconception for females that TRP is full of misogynists, and although there is a lot of harsh commentary in many cases it is justified. It's also "good ol' boys locker room" type of speak, so women have to be able to read it without taking it personally. Most can't. It took me a long time to achieve this and even now still gets under my skin occasionally.

But, it really opened my eyes to the male experience in this world, and specifically how we treat men Western culture. I see a rise of "angry feminists" in my industry, and it stuns me how many women proclaim "mEn ArE tRaSh" yet expect them to spoil and pay them as they act entitled.

By utilizing things I have learned in RPW and TRP, I have become a better adult entertainer, have more compassion for men, and now have an incredible relationship with the man of my dreams. This does not come easily given the messages we are indoctrinated with, and it takes work to unlearn behaviors and attitudes and apply new skills, but it's definitely worth it to me.

For women, it's important to understand that TRP is merely a toolbox to better understand where men are coming from, why they act the way they do, what they might truly need and desire in life and in a woman/ women, why women act the way they do, what aspects are nature vs nuture, and how to better relate to one another based on underlying gender behaviours.

Female here: I find the RP advice around self improvement, having standards and having boundaries is valuable advice for men, not putting women on a pedestal and having a focus that isn’t about women is great advice. However there’s definitely a lot of distain for women, mainly from the guys who don’t want to work on themselves, who let their dicks do the thinking, and who prefer to just blame women for their own failures. Unfortunately, that view is more common than the self improvement/standards/boundaries view. I think the average guy who find the red pill has been brainwashed his entire life to be a White Knight nice guy believing this is what women want him to be. It starts with parents to be honest as parents and schools are the biggest source of brainwashing.

The reality is that your parents should want you to be sexually successful, they should encourage you to have as many women as you can, instead they tend to mock boys for liking girls, they tell you you need to study and work hard and have a good career before anyone will see your value. It is a great strategy to make millions of men behave well and work for the good of society, because only a society that is advanced and has many people working hard to advance it will prevail.

The problem is that none of this is in the best interest of the average man. What's in the best interest of the average man is to realize that he can readily behave confident and give himself value by valuing himself even if it is just because he was born a man.

People want to understand relationship dynamics and have expectations and goals for relationships. Right now mating is in a massive cultural transition with possibly marriage and all long term relationships being redefined. We went from a culture where any person was limited to potential mates in their small towns to metros and technology that make the number of mates almost limitless. That has led to change. Men had the leverage as providers. Now leverage has shifted to women as they have not only found financial independence but earn more than men in many situations.

So men are lost and older men really can’t provide guidance to younger men because things have changed so quickly. Read the r/datingover30 or r/datingover40 subs and you can see newly single people absolutely struggling with the new dynamics.

It all comes down to: Women have a quality problem with finding mates

My personal experience made me move towards RP:

cheating ex (which I found to be sugar baby). After I took her back, she cheated again. that crushed my self-esteem.
after that cheating I also started to fuck around a lot too. Around a third of my lays were girls in relationships.
I tried to understand what caused those girls to cheat in order to prevent incidents like those. I read a lot about RP.

I found the Red Pill around 2016, and went into Red Pill Rage mode for about two years. Afterwards, I started cooling off. The Red Pill us a good "awakener", but you can't stay in the Red Pill Rage mode; it's toxic and self-destructive. So I cooled off, and moved into the acceptance phase... and honestly have been more successful with women and social interactions in general.

I'm not a dick to women. I just focused on self improvement, and became more cognizant of how women are - and when I'm slipping into old, Blue Pill habits, I try to nip it in the bud. I'm a better person because I discovered the Red Pill. It gives you the truth - harsh truth - but the truth, nonetheless.

The Red Pill is a tool - a guide. It is useful, but don't stay in the "rage mode". Accept things as they are, not as we want them to be. Raging at the world does nothing.

I thought Redpill was the answer back then and to be honest, it did give me a little confidence boost: I started going to the gym, talking to girls more often, scored a few dates and some short relationships. But, I quickly saw that the mindset , the whole “maintaining the frame” thing, their views against women were red flags so I quit indulging in their content.

For me it was divorce court and how often women got the favor over men, especially when it came to custody of children. The death threats the men's domestic abuse shelter got when it opened, and how it was the only one on the North American continent. I am pretty sure it still is? When I searched for it, all I get is local YWCA shelters. The disparity between conviction rates of male vs female pedophiles, and when women are convicted, the leniency they are shown is infuriating. Deceptive conception, etc. The movie, "The Redpill" was fascinating to watch when the fact that it was a feminist who made it, with the goal to discredit the movement as a whole. Then she ended up agreeing with some of their points, and so did I. I personally found the postings of the internet forums to be repulsive, but the other complaints made sense. It made me realize that almost everyone has it shitty. Then I came to the conclusion that in order to make life better for everyone, it requires everyone's willingness to work together. It is also frustrating that nobody wants to.

My interactions with the red pill community have always been overwhelmingly negative.

I think there are some positives- for example teaching self worth or striving to improve yourself.

BUT those positives can be taught and encouraged without all the awful bs that comes along with it!

I am interested in most things, and this is just one more to add to the pile. As a woman I get to play around with ideas and that is fine by me.

First and foremost, I think the best way to understand what attracts these men is to approach it from the core of things or the possible causes; the 'hurt' or 'experiences' that these men endure that drive them to Red Pill are not causes, but instead should be viewed as post facto rationalizations. Rationalizing and being rational are two different things. The causes are far more important. Imo, it is a religious mindset which is rooted in fear and neuroticism, or a brain disposition that favors religiously. To Red Pill men, they are seeking deliverance from X ('female nature') and seek salvation in Y ('enlightenment') - which is a breakdown of traditional roles and traditional gender norms from the past while not transcending above these things at all. In some cases, TRP without being tainted by scrutiny and critical-thinking is almost akin to the classical liberalism, even Leftest thought and the breakdown of traditionalism and masculine/feminine gender norms and societal roles - expunging them to create their own subjective 'dynamic', ex; "The Captain" and so forth, and ideas of what a man/woman should be.

There are many distinctions without differences from TRP and radical feminist thought, radical feminist thought that also exhibits itself in the /r/FemaleDatingStrategy subreddit through the same undertones as well, another sub that makes distinctions without interesting differences; but differs from TRP in that it makes no extraordinary claims on nature unlike the TRP. The only in that TRP completely creates it's own idea of masculinity and femininity and roles, and then claiming them as a superior dynamic between both the sexes because they are rooted in a biologically determinist way instead of cultural/social construction, which is why although TRP aims to escape traditional constraints they never really transcend women or the hard problem of female nature, which leaves them in a circle-cycle back to square one, still chained as Beasts of Burden. It basically taught me to stand up for myself and put me on the road to realizing that there is literally no reason at all to put women (or honestly anyone else) on a pedestal. It taught me confidence and how to stand up for myself by learning how to not give a fuck. The main reason rp attracts people is that it's a theory of dating. It has an explanation of how dating works. Other sources may offer you some advice, but never explain how the whole thing works. If there was another theory like rp, I'd be glad to consider it too, but there is none.

So, there is a question why do people need such a theory at all. They do need it to make sense of their situation. Some men start questioning their understanding of dating game after a painful break up, others after countless rejections.

Also, a theory is needed because male attractiveness seems to be more complicated than female. If a woman is not attractive, she may conclude it's due to her appearance and that's it, no need to reflect further. Men are taught their appearance is not important, so it's not that easy to conclude why he has no success. Therefore, we need an explanation.

Another source of interest to rp stems from the fact men need to initiate. If you are an unexperienced boy, you have no idea on what to do if you like a girl. I started searching for answers to questions after yet another long-term relationship failed.

I was 39 and just wondering what the hell I was doing wrong because of course everything was my fault.

I really took some time to really look at myself and ask myself what was so bad about me and once I realized that most of my shortcomings were pretty common I started to realize that some old sayings like "women are never happy" made me start looking for answers on why females seem to follow these same patterns.

I stumbled across the red pill and although it talked about female nature there was just too much of the pickup artist stuff so I wasn't really interested in that and then I found Mgtow which wasn't trying to actively use and cloud the knowledge by trying to get women instead it was backing away from them, which cleared the space.

Red pill knowledge is just one more lens to be able to view things through. Of course the people that call it misogyny think that that's the only lens that we're looking at things through. But no.

I've always assumed the best about people and gave them enough credit to be there own individual self. And then I see something flicker. And anomaly, let's say.

And when I ask myself what the hell that was... And then I apply a red pill lens and it makes things clear. That's when I know I've just seen typical female nature.

So I started looking back and around me. Not just at women I had been involved with but looking at other relationships and I'm like... holy crap.

Like it's one thing for a woman and women to say they like attractive men. Well duh. But it's what's attractive that gets my attention. It's like watching how they fall over with their legs in the air for certain guys that fit certain molds like the bad boy that's a bit broken but has "potential". It's like going down to the pound and picking out a rescue dog. They get to feel like they're helping it like it's a project to them and if it gets better they get to take all the credit but usually it doesn't and I just get frustrated with it and then it runs away and they blame the dog or it's life or it's past owners or whatever.

Someone might say men do it too.. okay fine we don't get pregnant by them. Yeesh. Every woman capable of getting pregnant understands the amount of risks and effort that would go into getting pregnant and having children. They sure complain about how difficult their jobs are enough. Their brain just turned off when that guy was around. But hey must be somebody else's fault.

I am a woman so not sure if this is directed at me, but my mom was really hard worker and worked in social work all my life. She took her career very seriously, often working 50-60 hour weeks. Weekend obligations and once a month or so she would go on trips that were several days long. From the time I was 6 weeks old, I was in child care or school for 12 hours a day and I often had to babysit my sister. My mom eventually got super burn out and developed and opiate addiction. She lost her job, went to rehab, etc. Jumped right back into a different career full speed and became an alcoholic. Developed cirrhosis. She is healed now and doing much better. Still career oriented but my sister and I are grown so we aren't the burdens we used to be. I am grateful I had a mom and dad but seeing the turmoil made me miserable and question the status quo. My parents put me in therapy and the therapist diagnosed me and put me on antidepressants and birth control at 12 which fucking sucked. I got off them at 20 just to see what would happen and I felt like I could see the world so much better. Like a fog lifted. From there I started questioning things I had been told and read a lot of C.S. Lewis, Augustine, Kierkegaard and Dostoyevsky which made me more conservative.

But I found redpill funny since I was already doing all the so call self improvement (which Stoicism basically teaches).

I'm interested in the science of human differences ll around and that includes gender. Also politics. So this comes up frequently. Plus I'm a Christian. I care about truth and having a free, functioning society. Sex differences are of interest and how each sex fits into a society. The movements around sex differences, or the denial of them are of interest to me too. As a Christian also, and just not liking seeing people hurt., the RP "interests" me, because I see a disturbing trend of people using these methods and thinking it's ok, even some Christians. The fact that the sexes are different on average is true enough. But many of the conclusions reached by the RP are garbage, and most importantly, evil, and used to do and justify evil. They do not make for a stable society, just more hedonists wrecking it and justifying themselves. Not only that, but they won't get what they are really after in the end, just like all hedonists don't. I just wish other members of society wouldn't get harmed as collateral. I was shown the Red pill by a male friend - after dating someone that just was great most of the time but did these weird things you can check my post history for that story.

As a women I think trp has value for men in the sense of self improvement (have basic hygiene self care, cleaning household routine etc) and understanding how to make yourself more attractive to women (don’t put someone on a pedestal, have boundaries don’t let someone treat you poorly).

Personally I am interested in rp because I noticed as early as in high school that something is not right with the standard narrative of dating. I noticed that women didn’t like the most caring, kind, respectful guys. And that appearance was important for them. And that they like a limited number of guys. So I lurked these questions and found trp.

Currently, this sub is interesting for me because sometimes posts here come up with new information. For example, there was a post with analysis of numbers from a dating app. The poster stated that around 30% of men receive no attention. So I thought that explains quite a lot, and it’s not so uncommon to be that lonely.

I read about rp for information like this which specifies and adds details to rp, so it helps to create a more comprehensive understanding of dating.

As a women it took a while to get over the initial shock of TRP but then it just started making sense.

It has changed my perspective on dating a lot by understanding human nature. It has explained how men think, what men are looking for and help me understand why I’ll act a certain way and what I should look for in guys. It actually made me lean into my female nature more, made more hypergamous and realize my value.

At first it was actually very misogynistic (at least in my thoughts). I'm now trying to understand relationships better. The redpill makes sense and proved to be accurate but it's often exagerated. I consider myself purple pilled now.

I believe that many hurt men gravitate towards the manosphere as some sort of cope, learn some lessons, and hopefully move on.

Well, after months of staying up late after she went to sleep and I’m aching with sexual frustration I started to google. How to come back after putting your woman on a pedestal. Long story short I landed on the red pill Reddit. My entire life made sense now. It completely changed everything for me and I could see that I was the problem. I disagree with some RP content and I think it should be used as a philosophical umbrella for men, but I believe it’s important. It’s been a couple years and it’s definitely changed my life for the better.

A couple of reasons I think people turn to it are A. lack of social skills necessary to woo women or B. Suffering from extreme heartbreak

My guess is a lot of the men are socially awkward and vilify women for it.

Or a lot of them are coming out of extremely toxic relationships, likely with a partner that is bipolar or has BPD and is trying to make sense of why that happened to them.

I think its similar to why women gravitate towards FDS

Personally red pill has changed my life only for the better, I’m not a delusional rp man I understand rp probably way more than most people who act like they do. Red pill is about taking harsh realities and using ways to turn your life into the reality you want. I am not a douchebag. I have female friends. I respect women. I love just like any other human. Rp has allowed me to focus harder on my career. I will not date anyone seriously until I get to the age I want to think about marriage. I don’t believe that women over 30 are washed product.

I used to be into PUA stuff. by myself, I developed an ideology that could be best summarised as Positive Red Pill, or Anti-Black Pill (White Pill?)

Then I discovered actual Red Pill and found that I agree with most of its foundations, but disagree mostly on conclusions (or at least, Im far more optimistic about male-female relationships).

BTW: I was never Blue Pilled, even as a teen. I was too impatient and horny for that.

The redpill is basically the scientific method applied to women and relationships. It looks at empirical evidence, and not how you wish things to be, or how women and feminist men tell you they are. The other pills are based on emotion or idealism. The redpill is a distillation of logical deduction. Eventually all roads lead to the redpill.

I had a feminist upbringing in Northern Europe that shaped my sense of self and my sexuality in shame and to be subservient to women in a none sexual way. It damaged me for life.

Red pill, incel and adjacent frames help me counterweight the upbringing and all the problems it has caused.

People just want to get laid, simple as that. Looking for the best strategies to do so. Nothing nefarious, just human nature. Everyone wants to up their game. Asking why a guy gets into redpill is like asking a woman why she gets into makeup. I'm not sure why red pill has such a bad rap in some communities. It's about figuring out what women want and upping your game to become that. If anything, women should love it. But because it's sexually motivated it must be demonized as toxic masculinity. I think that's the messaging of toxic feminism that doesn't want men to have any agency in sexual pairing.
