There are a lot of red flags that are common sense, but here are some that aren’t typically discussed. I’d love to hear your lists, ladies!

  1. When he introduces you to all his friends, and they’re politely friendly, but don’t put effort into getting to know you. They probably know he’s sleeping with multiple people and you’re just girl #48 he has brought over. Pickmeisha me would’ve been excited to meet the people he cares about.

  2. Eyes that are emotionless and dead even when he has an expressive face or uses a lot of hand gestures. If he’s saying something vulnerable and meaningful, there should be emotion in his eyes.

  3. Dates that are on his turf and at his convenience. He invites you to play tennis... in his housing tract. He invites you to a barbecue... at his pool. He invites you to the gym... at his apartment complex. These seem like real dates because they’re an activity planned during the day, but he just has to roll out of bed and meet you downstairs. It’s also easy to invite you inside afterwards.

  4. When he describes you, he doesn’t have anything personal to say. Adjectives like beautiful, smart, funny, friendly, etc. are traits someone could know about you after a fifteen conversation. The person you’re dating should be diving deeper.
