This is my throwback response to a comment I saw the other day.

The reason has nothing to do with a high body count or not raising kids that aren't mine although I certainly wouldn't mind if they didn't. I also have nothing against "post-wall" women either or the fact that I had to give her my beta - buxx first to get sex or even a relationship while others didn't.

The 3 issues I have is:

  1. There's a very high chance I would be unable to relate to her kids, because we could have polar opposite personalities and interests. If I'm not their real dad or fun and cool, I'm just a stranger (not even a friend) leeching attention away from his mother and they'll resent me for it.
  2. Having to deal with extended family members which will always lead to more fights in the long run. My parents got along fine, but their parents, parents didn't, so they got caught up in their mess and had a few arguments here and there. If I married her, I would have to get to get acquainted with 3 or even 4 different families and I cannot see a scenario where this plays out well.
  3. Not being able to have kids of my own because even if she agreed to having them. There is a very high likelihood my large inheritance would lead to fights and eventually a divorce if I had biological and non - biological kids in the same household. Even if I divided my assets 50 / 50, down to the last penny, my non - biological kid or their family would probably accuse me of favoritism and I couldn't even say they were completely wrong because as much as I hate to use "biologically hardwiring as an excuse, there is no way it doesn't happen in this scenario.
