We shouldn't necessarily assume that the genders are destined to match up 'equally' in any way--or even ever have. But regardless of what was true in the past, with modern technology, the future is even more uncertain.

Hidden behind an apparent female lack of concern about male issues or incels or mate dating success is an intuition (conscious or unconscious) that we have no idea how men and women are really 'meant' to match up as we go forward. (If anything is 'meant' to be anything.)

Men's advantages are less and less relevant. According to some biologists, typical females may well be better adapted to the demands of modern life than typical men. Whereas female underperformance in school and work was due to obvious artificial impediments, current male underperformance seems to be more deeply structural--about how male traits and nature match up with the demands and reality of the modern world.

So we shouldn't assume that some end goal if for say the 40th percentile man to match with the 40th percentile woman. That woman may just be 'better' than him by most metrics that matter in the future. Her nature may also make her more of a giver, such that he would be a drain off of her even if they were evenly matched. Even the idea that we should be matching men and women 1 to 1 may be obsolete.

In fact, even a gender ratio of 1 man to 1 woman may eventually be a thing of the past. When parents do choose the gender or a child, it is usually the woman that chooses. And women are choosing to have female children over males. In fact, even fathers may be preferring daughters. So we could be on the way to some modern reinvention of the ancestral (even pre- homo genus) social configuration of having a much larger number of women than men. Except this time, instead of the unfit betas being cast out, they just won't exist in the first place.

The ideal age gap for me is 6 - 12 years younger. I like the idea of being older than my woman and being able to provide. I also like the idea of someone being younger than me. (but noy so young to the point we couldn't relate) Our libidos would (probably) line up well and she would keep me energized when I am younger.

Question: Everything I've read about OLD from men online makes it sound like an absolute horror. When I briefly used tinder back in 2014 (for around two weeks to a month, not sure how long) I wasn't exactly a massive success, but I usually matched with a few girls a day after swiping for ten minutes on my break, had some conversations, went on a date with a girl that I quickly ended things with, and then got bored with it and moved on. I wasn't able to build a harem or anything, but my experience was a lot better than what seems to be the typical male experience of getting maybe one match every couple months who gives you a one word response and never talks to you again.

Was my experience more normal than those of guys who whine in reddit about OLD, has OLD gotten more dire for men since 2014, or were a handful of women able to tell by my picture that I'm 6'4" despite not mentioning it in my profile?

I'm starting to realize that I should change my weighting for what I'm looking for in a partner. Looks isn't nearly as important as I thought it was. I don't mind if a girl is slightly overweight. There was a girl who gave me a gift on a first date a year ago who was overweight. She seemed really nice. My current gf gets mad just before her period over what seems to me to be the smallest things. She's been brooding over an email to an ex boss and was mad I couldn't send her to the airport over work hours. Like am I supposed to lose my job and spend more time than she would on public transit?

I was thinking that maybe girls who are heavier are less influenced by hormones and more receptive to hormonal IUDs. Like how your weight correlates with your alcohol tolerance (as well as tolerance to all drugs). But that doesn't seem to be the case for bodily hormones.

40 points for Lean Body Mass

20 Points for Body Fat %

17.5 Points for Status (generally income if above 26ish)

17.5 Points for Face

Status and Race will get different values depending on the woman, and status in particular is more variable for younger women. But as you get older it's just your wealth in almost all cases.

Sigmoidal relationship is assumed for the first 4 factors, so at some point there's diminishing returns, and past a certain point it doesn't matter so much. For instance, below 45k a year you just get 0 points for status, and above 250k per year there's no more increase. This isn't quite true, the return is dropping as you approach these points and continues to drop after these points, asymptotically headed towards 0, but I'm not mathematically sophisticated enough to model.

You get 100 points for having 207 pounds of LBM (6'3'' 225) at 8% body fat making 250k per year and having a top model face and probably being white.

You get 0 points for having 120 pounds of LBM (5'6'' 179 and fat) at 33% body fat making 45k per year with a face that sort of just melds into your neck and uneven wide eyes and probably Indian.

If a woman is past her prime and getting desperate for a partner I'd swap the weights for status and LBM. So to a woman not looking to settle down (i.e. young) a man at 20% body fat, 145 LBM, white, average face with 130k salary is about a 50.5, which is essentially normie gets invited to most parties and does OK with 5s and 6s on Tinder tier. Possibly orbitting an 8/9. But if she's looking to settle down then he's a 63.5 which is typical Chad tier.

Likewise, if he's a cop making like 60k a year but he's into weight lifting and 190 LBM, 12% body fat, average face and white then he's a 67.5 which is pushing into the 70s which is basically fucking everything 8 and below tier, but if she's looking to settle down then it's a 55.9 which is like getting 7s consistently.
