Almost every woman has a toxic ex (or several). Based on the amount of women who claim to have dated a chain of assholes, manipulators and abusers, you would be led to believe that society has a giant concentration of toxic men preying on vulnerable young women, looking to exploit their naivety and use them for sex, abuse them emotionally, etc. I’m not denying abusive men do exist, and the ones that are physically/financially abusive 100% should be in jail.

However, I think a large thing that gets overlooked is the fact that women, in particular younger women, are often more attracted to toxic men. It may be in one of many forms: controlling, angry/hostile, aggressive, degrading, manipulative, patronizing, emotionally abusive, mean, etc.

I personally have played both the “good guy” and the “flirtatious asshole” with women in the past, and definitely noticed that being nice, friendly and engaging in more mundane conversation seemed to gather more friendly or bored responses, while saying something “an asshole” would say & utilizing a lot pf psychological tricks has worked surprisingly well.

A shocking amount of women have even admitted that they like when a guy is mean & degrading to them, that it gets them excited. It seems to be that women generally seek out more toxic guys when younger for the excitement of it, and then after enough breakups they eventually settle for a nice guy and completely change their tune, talking about how they finally felt real love after past toxic ex’s.

I would like to add as evidence the amount of Tiktoks and memes from young girls saying they want a guy to ‘ruin their life’, ignoring a guy’s red flags, hooking up with their ex for the nth time.
