This is my first post here, and I don't know if it's the right place to ask this question. But I've been reading other posts here revolving around the same topic, and I really need to see things for myself. Reddit and r/purplepilldebate might not be the most representative places to get answers from, but I don't know where else to ask such a question.

I'm a young guy, and this question has been bugging my mind for a long time, and I'm genuinely feeling distressed because of it. I've read several posts in which women say that they simply aren't attracted to the visuals of a man, or just very little, and I just don't get why. People often make the argument that men simply are much more visually stimulated than women (which doesn't make sense to me), but different scientific articles make different conclusions. It's confusing, and it has kind of destroyed my mental health...

I mean, as a sexual conscious being, I also want to be desired for my body—not just immaterial things. Media, anime culture, pornography, nsfw reddit, etc. is filled with sexy and hot female bodies, and I just can't not get genuinely jealous of women when I see them because the fact is that, though it may seem absurd and stupid, a lot of guys do get very aroused by and jack off to that shit. I wish that I had that potential to be able to affect girls and women like that with my body. And the worst part is that I, too, get aroused by naked, semi-naked IRL, and drawn hot women. If I scroll through, say, r/gonewild, I will inevitably get a boner, and I could very easily get off to a good picture. And I absolutely hate myself for it every fucking time, because I despise the fact that I so easily can be influenced, apparently in comparison to women. It's not like I'd actually begin to post nudes and stuff like that if I knew I'd get attention because it could be fulfilling and fun (though so goddamn many women do), but the idea that I could be so entrancing to a potential love interest because of my body is something that I extremely want to be able to fulfill.

But I'm not just attracted to visuals, and this is why I don't understand all the women who say that visual stimuli does very little for them. I get off just as well, if not sometimes better, to sound and emotional stories, which is what a lot of women say they can get off to. I mean, r/gonewildaudio, which combines those two things, is absolutely amazing if I want to get off to something emotionally intense. In my head, it makes sense that anything sexual that connects me to a hot and attractive individual from the other sex, whether it be sight, touch, sound, or even smell, is going to be arousing to me. And if you say that you're a straight woman, wouldn't you heavily be implying that you're aroused by the male body? I'm not only confused about the fact that a lot of girls/women say that they can't get off to such pictures of a hot guy (in comparison to men who say that they can get off to still images of tits and ass) but also that a lot of women in relationships say that looking at the body of their SO does nothing for them. And that just makes me incredibly sad and perplexed.

I try to convince myself that it all just has to do with the fact that men's bodies are desexualized and stuff like that, which makes women associate our bodies with non-sexual things (and that the opposite is true for men); and I try to convince myself that there's simply much more and better porn that appeals to men—men are worse at taking nudes, they don't know what women want to see (because desexualization is a self-fulfilling prophecy), etc. but it's even hard for me to believe...

Do you think that women in general just simply are less visually stimulated because they are—is it all hard-wired and rooted in women's biology? If so, I find that it's going to be hard for me to have a happy sex life. I mean, if I can get aroused and want to fuck simply by seeing my partner naked, but if I always have to initiate things by touching them, saying things, etc. and that they'd only be able to be aroused by me showing desire for them, and that I just as well could be invisible, because my appearance doesn't matter, then it'd be very boring for me. Is that weird? I simply want to be able to relate to how my partner feels sexually—I'd want her to be able to be visually stimulated by men's bodies.

This is what I truly feel and have been worried about for a while. As a woman, what do you think about this? Is my thinking flawed, or is it a real problem that you can understand? Am I wrong/right on some things? Are women actually less visually stimulated, and why/why not?

If you were curious, I'm 18, and I haven't been in a sexual relationship yet.
