Today’s yummy recipe, perfect for those of you living and cooking solo:

• 1 filet of the white fish of your choice, cut in half • 1/2 onion or leek, sliced thin • Handful shredded carrots • 3 tbsp butter, mixed with minced garlic, mixed dried herbs, lemon zest, salt and pepper

Preheat oven to 450 F. Place 12 inches of foil on a sheet pan, place the pile of vegetables in the middle. Top with the fish, then spread the compound butter across the fish. Top with another piece of foil, crimp it closed, leaving room for steam to collect.

Bake for 15-20 min, or until it reaches 135 F.

Something I've noticed from both men and women: People tend to react to being harmed by the opposite gender by becoming exactly what the opposite gender is afraid of. I've touched on this before, but it runs a lot deeper than I initially thought. I can't tell you how many times irl I've heard some variation of the following sentiments:

"Women are just out to take you for everything you're worth and then ditch you. You should just use them as a fleshlight until you get bored/you find someone hotter, then ditch them."

or

"Men are just out to use you as a fleshlight and then ditch you. You should just take them for everything they're worth and then ditch them when you get bored/you find someone with more to take."

People get their hearts broken, adopt these views, and then break other people's hearts, passing the pain along to others, who once again adopt those views. It's that old adage, "hurt people hurt people". I'm not sure if it's a problem that can be solved.

So I splurged at work today and got around $700 worth of clothes for a grand total of $300.

My shoe collection is coming together nicely, got some nice pairs of boots as well as some loafers, can't wait to see what kind of outfits I can make.

What I find fascinating about the Velma show is that it did accurately depict incel behavior.

For example, Velma’s “stepmother” advising Velma to stop being an unlikeable bitch. Veoma interprets this as……getting a makeover to be prettier.

The show tries to make some stupid social commentary on how unfairly shallow the world is, but Velma chooses to participate in that shallowness. She’s just not pretty enough to have her shit personality be overlooked by other shallow people.

When I started dating my wife in college I just started dating someone (like 2 dates) and was dating someone too I met at my summer job. Nothing was super serious, just dates, no bf/gf thing. So I meet my wife and its second base in 2 hours, third the next day, night, home plate, the 3rd night.

The other two were playing harder to get. Make out, topless, lay in their bed, but blueballing.

I wonder if "lift weights" is so much of an advice for guys because of the process of processing emotions. Sure the health and aesthetic aspect can be a plus but if you think about it - you don't really do anything while you are lifting weights. Your brain has time to process it's emotions. We usually don't give our brains time anymore to do that because we are constantly distracting ourselves with stuff (usually our phones). But while you lift weights your body is working and your mind gets a break. It's very therapeutic to do that or any other hobby where you are physically active but mentally paused. This is why the gym is therapy for a lot of people.

My apartment and all associated properties the landlord owns is pet free, but a girl in my apartment complex next door has an emotional support animal that's been causing a noise disturbance the entire year. Sometimes as late as 2-3am in the morning.

If I were more foolish and had less understanding of the world, I may have approached her and politely asked her to address it. Dating apps nowadays are certainly not up to par. It has been voiced before, but I'm here to reiterate the importance of making it known - these applications primarily focus on getting users to stay active on the platform instead of facilitating relationships. To give you some examples, predatory boosts, inefficient matching, and lack of context regarding potential partners are some of the issues that remain unsolved. To battle this scourge, I intend to create a dating app that educates users on developing their social skills, giving them statistics about what people, with similar demographics to themselves, usually look for in a partner and how they can better themselves or learn to identify unhealthy dynamics in relationships and attitudes to dating.

In greater detail, it could involve analysing what led to the failure of prior relationships, establishing the kind of person you search for when going out on dates and whether this affects your dating success, weeding out possible partners who possess the admirable traits from former ones (but none of the flaws), seeing what notions/portrayals draw in individuals that are more your "type", communicating directly with an AI-dating coach (and so on). Any comments are welcomed, and all opinions are valued, even if you would never make use of such a service!

Since its age gap week...my parents had a 25 year age gap, and she was a "mail order bride". But I don't think anyone looked at them side ways, as my mom was 30 when she met my dad, and she was a grown ass woman at that point, working and traveling the world.

When they came back to the states (they met and married in Hong Kong as expats) my dad told her she couldn't sit at home as a housewife and she agreed, so he paid for her schooling from Bachelors all the way to PhD (and paid for her sister's schooling, her 2 nieces + nephew, and mine). He was a good and smart man, he wanted her to be able to support herself (and me) because he knew he was going to die far earlier than her.

However as much as I loved my parents and idolized their relationship, I've definitely developed an age gap complex. My dad could be wonderful, but he could also be incredibly condescending/stodgy and I HATED THAT.

Therefore any man that gives off patronizing daddy vibes makes me very angry and disgusted. Inevitably, almost all older men default to 'patronizing daddy' when it suites them, and I cannot abide by any of that. 🤮🤮🤮🤮

Regarding the height debate : I think its vastly blown out of proportion. Most women want a guy who's taller than them which isn't hard to achieve. That said, a woman who is 5'2 who says she only dates men over 6 feet isn't a quality woman. I would not date her irrespective of me meeting her height requitement. So remember, if you're not meeting a crazy woman's requirement, you're not losing out of anything as the value system of a crazy person isn't valuable in itself

The biggest thing PPD has taught me is the powerful method of shaming and consensus on social media. Women often use the pressure of consensus as a way to moderate the behavior of a group. Not a good or bad thing, it just is.

This happens on many fronts: n count, international dating, wanting a tradwife, lack of fat acceptance, age gaps, sex workers, and so on. They'll say it's misogynistic, or "ick", or gross, or problematic, or patriarchal, incel behavior, and so forth. Typically it's some kind of shaming language.

But all those things have something in common; they all decrease the leverage of the average woman in the dating marketplace. Women never shame things that increase leverage. It's a subtle, unconscious manipulation of group attitudes to engineer a particular outcome.

This has a powerful effect on young men, as it skews their ideas of what is "normal", when in reality it's a subtle manipulation. They haven't had a chance to juxtapose the social media consensus they're fed throughout adolescence against the real world because they are still baby adults.

It seems the attractive ones are meant to become good guy "simps" and providers patiently waiting for when the women settle down, and the unattractive ones are meant to quietly self-eliminate from the dating pool. And before someone "both sides" me on this, this is addressed to men, not women.
