The “Incel” has been a mainstream concept for years now an it’s not too complicated to see where it all stems from.

Isolated men raised without adequate socialisation grow to hate and resent the very thing they most desire but can’t attract: Woman. It’s a topic that has been endlessly discussed and “Incel” is now about the most common an insult a woman can level at a man.

The notion of the “Femcel” is certainly not as mainstream but is arguably just as concerning a problem for society as large. It’s unlikely we are going to get too many female Elliot Roger’s (because Woman generally don’t manifest their extreme frustration in violence) but it certainly comes out in other dysfunctional and antisocial ways.

Of course “Femcel” is a misnomer as everybody know that no Woman with a pulse is “involuntarily celibate”. It’s always a voluntary position but that doesn’t mean the misandry caused by not being able to attract the Men they actually desire( or only being used for sex) isn’t as real as the misogyny many Men develop because of their involuntary celibacy.

Do you think the idea of the “Femcel” will ever be seen as prominent as the notion of the “Incel”. Is the fact that it goes so under the radar within society in general an example of misandry in itself or is it simply so niche an “issue” that it’s just not discussed much?
