I think men in the dating community on Reddit over exaggerate the role that height plays in dating. As someone who is 5’10 and shorter than most western guys I see, I’ve never had a girl who is shorter than me tell me that she doesn’t like me because I’m not tall. Do girls prefer a tall guy? Of course. But your face, body and wealth/status come before height. Now I will say on dating apps girls tend to “filter” pretty harshly if a dudes bio says he’s 5’8 she likely will swipe left. However, in person a guy who is 5’8 but hot will always get more girls than a guy who is 6’2 but average looking.

Just my 2 cents. Height doesn’t matter unless you’re super super super like 5’5 and below

I see all the time many guys say “the type of girl who likes your money is the one you don’t want to be with”. What I’ve realized over the years is that the girls who don’t care about money almost always tend to have bad traits such as high body count, feminist, argumentative, doesn’t want kids, doesn’t want to be submissive to you etc. Whereas for a girl to value your money as a guy, she has to at least believe in traditional roles to an extent. This type of girl finds a man who is a leader and provider attractive, and in return is more likely to accept being in the role of a housewife/submissive girlfriend. Also, I don’t see how a woman liking money is any different than a man liking how a girl looks or treats him. To me money is just a trait that can be attractive to someone and just because it is a tangible trait (like looks, status etc) it doesn’t mean that it’s inherently worse than liking personality. I know some men here pedestalize submissive traits of Asian women but coming from an Asian culture (India), having a woman depend on me seems so exhausting and un-sexy.

Is it better to have love, admiration, and affection of a woman who can do everything by herself and thrive (strong, independent woman) or a dependent housewife?

However, there are other sides to being with both kind of women. The strong independent type can leave you whenever she pleases and the housewife type might not because the children and you are the center of her life. Of course the former kind can stick around till either one of you dies and the latter may divorce you and take half of your shit.

Ultimately the most practical strategy is to be self-reliant for your happiness and whatever you get outside is a bonus. So any woman coming or leaving would not change your baseline happiness levels. In simpler words. Do not form your identity around variables in your life.

I think in long-term dating, your real age matters much more than looking a certain age. Virtually every 25 year old woman prefers a 30 year old over a 40 year old. Every 21 year old prefers a 25 year old over a 35 year old. Mobility, relatibility, genetics, youth, health trump the appearance of it as all of these factors become apparent after months of dating. It's similar with women who look amazing for their age. That's cool but it doesn't change your age.

Realized something yesterday. When guys say that " its okay if a guy cheats becuase it was just sex". Its not sex tho. And alot of women know that. So much talking and debating about relationships over the same tired topics, and yet people here are absolutely unaware of the future of the relationships that's JUST around the corner.

Look at two major trends of the nearest decade: Growing ~~incelization~~ alienation of both men AND women + rapid advancement of AI (both 'communication' and 'visuals' one), combine 2+2 — customisable virtual wAIfus and husbandos are going to get VERY popular and mainstream. Getting attached and falling in love with machine is very easy (look at 'sydney'-bing ai situation that just happened). 'Her' and 'blade runner 2049' get real much faster than expected.

There will be a number of preset personalities that people could choose from and customize further. My guess is that men would customize their ai-partner a bit more, since men prefer for their partner to be more predictable, while women would stick to some of the most popular preset male personalities without much customization, since women prefer for their partner to be somewhat unpredictable and surprising.

Once it appears it's not going away until the end of civilization. And it means institution of family and traditional relationships are not going to bounce back and get popular again as some people wish/expect. They're gone (as 'the most popular form of relationship') for good.

If you're over 35 don't ever bother trying to argue or comprehend it.
