I don’t know if I’d quite call them psychopaths, but I’d add pilots to the list of professions to avoid in men. I was a flight attendant for 8 years and the cheating stereotype is beyond true. I couldn’t tell you how many “happily married” pilots hit on me on layovers. Get one or two drinks in them and they just start spewing the juice on all of their misdeeds like it’s something to brag about, or like it’ll never get around to their wives/families. Effing idiots. Oh, and they are all alcoholics.

I worked as a chef in fine dining; can confirm.

Had shit thrown at my head by grown-ass men. Violence and alcoholism are commonplace. Multiple men I worked with were later outed as sexual predators by young women who worked for them.

Would never ever ever date a chef - it takes a certain type of person to stay/succeed in that career and that's not what I'm looking for anymore.

chef. yes! i used to work at a country club in the snack bar they had and my supervisor who was the head chef was a raging lunatic. he constantly would crack down on us for not “smiling enough”, the way we had to greet the customers, and overall just had a bad attitude whenever things didn’t work out his way. his smile was disturbing, ear to ear with no indication of life in his soul.

I think certain kinds of surgeons are worse than others. I used to have to interact with several surgical specialties regularly at work and I’m happy to break it down for y’all. Just in case you decide to date one.

Ortho: either super nice family guy whose idea of a good time is an afternoon fishing OR a jacked womanizer. I don’t think they skew psychopath.

Neuro: spine surgeons are the biggest pricks you’ll ever meet. High probability that he’s a psychopath. Guys who do cranis all day are usually super nerdy with a god complex, but less obnoxious than their spine counterparts.

General: you don’t want to date a general surgeon. They work insane hours, usually worse than neuro. Depending on their sub specialty, there is a high probability that they have some sort of personality disorder, especially vascular and transplant.

Plastic: stay away.

The semi surgical fields (optho, OB, urology): optho has a great quality of life and seem fairly upbeat and happy. Male OB/GYNs freak me out personally. I have a good friend who is an ER doc who swears that men go into OB because they get off on seeing women in compromising positions. I don’t know enough urologists to say, but they do spend a lot of their days with someone else’s dick in their hand and I don’t personally get the appeal of the specialty.

To me the creepiest "profession" of all is Youtubers. They just give me the creeps.

Im not talking about the average person that doesnt get a lot of views and talks about whatever niche, but the "successfull" ones.

They are so manipulative and often are caught involved with underage fans. They definetely have a god complex. Ethan Klein from the H3 podcast gives me such pedo and incel vibes, i dont know HOW people dont see the signs. Also a lot of them gain views bashing women.

Not at all surprised to see police on there - they accept just about anyone and seemingly miss massive red flags in their recruitment processes. For example, my ex got into major trouble from a law firm for impersonating them and trying to stalk me. In the process, he pretended to be a lawyer and sent me an email threatening to ‘sue me for defamation’. The idiot sent it from his private email, and it was riddled with inaccuracies and spelling mistakes. As a law student, it took one call to alert the law firm and they took action against him. He then applied to be a police officer, and the police didn’t even flag it 🤷🏼‍♀️ . Praying I never come across him when he’s on duty.

I once dated a CEO of a law firm (in my pre-fds days). The guy was an extreme narcissist and psychopath.

I think psychopaths are naturally attracted to careers that bring money and status. In the UK doctors don't earn much, I would switch 'surgeon' for 'banker' for a UK-specific list.

I went for a surgery appointment the other day. Instead of seeing my usual surgeon (near future thyroid surgery), I saw this professor. He was so horrible! Had no empathy whatsoever, wouldn't listen to me when I tried to tell him what was affecting my health, my social situation. He just told me I was going to take these drugs and wrote out a prescription. I'm considering making a complaint and I certainly do not want to see him again. Most medical professionals I see have some empathy bu I suspect he was a psychopath. He certainly seemed to think he he was too important to listen to the likes of me.

I have dated CEOs, lawyers, and doctors, and YEP, this is spot-on. I'd add engineers and professors to the list, from my experience. Never dated anyone from the clergy, but I did briefly date a guy I met in a singles group from church who turned out to be a huge cheater. The moral of the story is that so many men are trash, regardless of the profession and across the board. Keep your standards high, my fellow queens.

This is anecdotal and falls under the med field too but pharmacists, specifically ones that work in hospitals. Source: just broke up with one who’s a narc. Even he admitted that most of the people in this field are in it for the money, especially since most do it because they can’t get in/don’t want to put in the effort of med school yet still want to make six figures. I was shocked to find out how many people are really doing it for the money over the desire to help people. Despite being “book smart” it is truly astounding how dumb they can all be whether it’s emotionally or with common sense. Don’t get me started with how I was more concerned with hygiene, cross contamination in the kitchen and COVID than he was. 🤦‍♀️
