I keep seeing this female strategy subreddit on /all and this sub. Went and explored it. Honestly, it doesn’t seem that bad to me. This is the sort of advice that was given to girls and women for a millennia across many cultures. My aunts, mother and grandmother and all their friends wouldn’t see anything wrong with it all and these are women happily married for decades to masculine, provided men.

It’s a reflection of Reddit’s very young male base that the content in that sub comes as such a shock. The language used in the sub is pretty harsh but I think it’s refreshingly bracing. Women can never have too much advice regarding having strong boundaries and vetting and filtering men cause the stakes for making bad decisions re mate selection reverberate for a long time for her and her offspring.

If the guy makes a 6 figure income and can’t bother to pay for a couple drinks on a date that amounts to like $15-20 I actually kind of agree- as a red pill guy. If I was a woman in that situation I would be very turned off I think. Not from a gold digging perspective but just out of basic social etiquette and decency.

On the other hand if both parties are young- say college students and obviously broke, this is ridiculous. Also women will always make an exception for a guy she’s really hot for.

I don't think it's good advice for the same reason that "if she doesn't sleep with you on the first date, she's not into you" isn't good advice, but I'm not sure it's "disgusting"? I feel like the most likely result of someone reading that sub is that they go from accepting garbage treatment from men to pushing away all men, which is not good for the women there but it's not as toxically manipulative as TRP.

As I said earlier, dating strategy is (mostly) amoral. Even so, I don't really see that thread as directly comparable to TRP (but surely, I'm biased).

I think people (men and women) tend to have stronger knee-jerk reactions to women seeing dating/relationships through any type of strategic lens, as opposed to the typical "durrr gotta find my sOuLmAtEs because feeeeeeelings!!!1!" hopeless romantic perspective. Women being detached from hopeless romanticism is almost always interpreted as calculating and shallow.

Some of the posts are wonky, and I'd definitely like to see more of a focus on concentrated self-improvement like you see often in TRP (hey, maybe i'll make a post about that!), but at least 50% of the commentary and advise there is pretty spot on.

I know several woman that follow their philosophies irl and honestly it never goes well for them. They honestly talked constantly about being a "strong independent woman" type but then their pinned post is about how to change yourself so you can basically become a prostitute for fee meals. It's very backwards. It seems to me though that they are older women who have been treated poorly by men for whatever reason, so now they are trying to fantasize some way of getting back at them for the perceived wrongs. There’s elements and factions of the sub I like but that top rated one IS disgusting. While I do like my man in the more traditional role of provider I don’t expect a man to be very early on in dating. That expectation is entitlement. It’s a first date, we’re still seeing IF we want to invest in one another (our time, emotionally, physically, financially, etc), expecting a guy to fill that role immediately is crazy to me.

Yes, FDS is female TRP which steals and rebrands some good advice that you could get from a therapist while throwing in a whole gamut of narcissistic "Be on top" RP type advice that's self defeating and will do more harm to these women than good. Congrats, you just discovered the same gut level reaction women who aren't trying to become ruthless in order to not get hurt again have to TRP. These kinds of manipulation tactics and power games are disgusting and anyone who engages in them should be avoided by everyone in dating until they stop.

While it isn’t squeaky clean, I love what this sub stands for: women being all for women. When do you EVER see this? Honestly, when do you ever see women bold enough to openly post about wanting to get what THEY want from men?

I got banned from there even though I haven’t said a word on there, their reason was “frequent user on asktrp”.

There’s a lot wrong with it imo:

They want a complete echo chamber on their sub, they ban men on sight fine fair enough.

But they be-little women and ban them if they don’t follow their logic, the mere double questioning of them results in bans and they mock these girls by calling them pickmes. They aren’t pro-woman, they are only pro their rhetoric.

At least TRP doesn’t ban women or anyone who disagrees with them on sight. We believe in discourse, they don’t.

These “women” (a fair few of their big hitters have had good experience in female incel subs and in a world where females get laid much easier than men, you know the kind of resentment/hatred they bear towards men and society) believe in manipulating and strong arming men into commitment.
This one pisses me off. They believe they are sanctimonious/morally superior to TRP when the tactics EXACTLY the SAME. They are hardcore manipulators with a lot of their theory stolen from us.

Except here’s the thing: the majority of them use these tactics with an undercurrent of misandry with it- they want to make men suffer a bit if they can.

TRP doesn’t want to make women suffer, we prioritise the men and we don’t go out of our way to hurt women- FDS does since their mods are misandrist.

They fear us A LOT. Our name is mentioned at least once a day whereas their name has only been mentioned a couple of times on Asktrp not the main sub.

The type of shit they do to men, is literally the reason why TRP was made. They dangle sex as a carrot/make them pay for expensive dates/3 month rule before putting out and yet some of them believe in having FWBs so it’s a massive contradiction because guess what kind of man they would FWB? Hint: not the poor billy beta who’s been waiting for 3/4 dates.
FDS are like cats trying to play like dogs. Women are different to men, so after they strong arm/manipulate their beta into commitment, they no longer feel like women- they feel like dominant leaders and guess what will happen next.
Reading their sub only makes me want to triple/quadruple down on TRP.

They believe in fighting fire with fire so be it.

It's no different than a PUA group, but for women instead. It's not so much disgusting as it is laughable.

Those women will likely end up bitter and alone when they hit the wall and no longer have anything to offer since they never built up any qualities worth wanting.

Just discovered that sub yesterday and its a cesspool. Basically a more toxic r/mgtow but for women. Finding r/femaledatingstrategy also lead me to r/pinkpillfeminism and r/manotears it's basically the manosphere but for women, complete with incels and transphobia.

It is a pretty disgusting place. They immediately ban any male posters well, so it becomes a horrible circle jerk/echo chamber environment where the other side (i.e. men) aren't allowed to express their view. At least places like The Red Pill allow women to post in them. This subreddit doesn't even allow men to post!

It's interesting that reddit leaves these particular subreddits, but when the genders get reversed they quarantine the subreddits (eg. The Red Pill). That sets a poor precedence in my opinion. It gives the message that it's ok for women to manipulate men and use them for their own gain, but not ok for men to do the same to women. I believe there should be consistency across the board when dealing with these subreddits.
