I agree and as a woman of augmenting value, I ascribe to a lot of the principles. However, they are a bit man-hater for me over there. I love men and don’t believe that even the lower ones are “scrotes” just immature and people I don’t need in my circle. Maybe I’ll create my own strategy. I got banned over there for posting that men aren’t all bad and by putting so much vitriol out into the world, kind of a self-fulfilling prophecy.

FDS talking about red flags, LVM (they are a thing), not getting sucked into third wave feminist claptrap on hookup culture...

The problem with both movements is the problem with Reddit. Both have largely devolved into toxic echo chambers of the unfulfilled and unloved. When its about advice, its great. But there seems to be next to no one there with any consistent success stories. Probably because the people who are least negatively affected by the content, absorb the little that they need and then dip.

The genders are different worlds, and some of us need help. FDS can be intense but the principles of “have value and self respect” are helpful, and in some cases, the opposite of how many women are conditioned.

TRP is much bigger than FDS. It's also the only non-academic game in town dedicated to filtering out the PC crap about gender and trying bring the real truths to the people, so to speak. Because of that, its gravitational orbit has reeled in a lot of hate, rage and bullshit. But at it's core, I believe TRP is tragic. Even when it's wrong, the mission of true TRP is to reunite the genders on what it believes are balanced and complementary terms. The tragic aspect is that TRP believes women do not want this right now, and thus men have no alternative but to do their best to protect their own interests and enjoy the decline.

At its core, I believe that FDS feels that women are better than men. Women are the prize and gender balance is about men learning to value women as such. If TRP sometimes underestimates and undervalues the sacrifices women have to make as mothers, FDS dramatically overvalues them, feeling that these sacrifices alone justify tilting everything else wildly in favor of women.

TRP may be wrongheaded sometimes, but it believes women have strayed from the path, and could also be redeemed and are ultimately the complementary equals of men in a just world. FDS believes that most men are irredeemable sex-hungry beasts only deserving of ridicule and shame, while the few men that measure up and are worthy of female attention should feel lucky to serve the female imperative.

When browsing “Top” of all time, month, week, it’s not that bad and I actually agree with a lot of points. Most of it just stems from women having losers as boyfriends, men who can’t clean their own asses, can’t tidy their room, can’t make them orgasm, being cheated on, abused, how they’ve went their entire 35 years of life without ever been given flowers (despite asking for them), etc. All fairly simple and understandable stuff.

It’s when you start browsing the “Hot” section is when you get the real weirdos, telling each other to get men who doesn’t orgasm, being sent a message at 1am is a red flag and Immediate block, how their boyfriend is a HVM because he travelled for 2 hours to their destination just to give them a jacket, how their ex is a LVM scrote because they didn’t let her browse his phone. Etc.

Just like Redpill (and even Blackpill), You just got to take the good understandable stuff from FDS and ignore the junk.

I think those women are insane.

I regularly see them say it’s fine to snoop through a man’s phone and it’s “protecting yourself”. If I saw ANYONE snooping through my phone I would not be able to control my anger. I would hope I don’t get physically violent but I would be livid. At the very least I would throw her out and never speak to her again.

Also the way they talk about men who don’t meet their ridiculous standards being “low value men” while calling themselves all “queens” without ever questioning what they actually bring to the table themselves that makes them “high value” is ridiculous.

But, most of these women are suffering from "Tinder Attention Syndrome" and have a grossly over-estimated sense of their mate value.

So, if you want to say "RP for boys, FDS for girls" well you can say that.

But, I'm glad as a man Red Pill doesn't enable me to continue to be deluded about the realities of the SMP.

If FDS shows us anything, it's how swollen the head are of SO many North American women.

Both FDS and TRP are harmful ideologies. They teach the people who believe them to hate/fear/loath the gender they are attracted to. Some of their basic tenets are really good for all women. Same as TRP they have some things that I feel like should be elementary but few people seem to know/understand them. For example they are big time against FWBs and casual hookups I believe because they feel that they do not benefit women most of the time...which I agree with. They tell women that their male "friends" are not really friends but rather predators. Again, usually true.

But like TRP there are extremists who make the rest of the movement go bad. But in general I would recommend that every woman research FDS but not take everything they say as gospel. Same for men with TRP.

Some of the FDS advice is solid and is basically just traditional dating advice (look for men with certain "high value" qualities, don't have sex right away with men who are most likely just using you, vet men etc) that's been lost in the turbulence of socio-sexual changes (i.e. their moms/female family didn't pass on generational knowledge about the importance of/how to pick quality men over the modern imperative of "having fun"). A lot of it is just wishful thinking that probably older and lower quality women (on average) are going to land HVM if they just follow XYZ steps mixed in with bitterness.

I wouldn't say TRP is the exact equivalent but there are some similarities. TRP is much more focused on pushing men to self improve to become the "desirable men" and recognize common social-sexual behaviours by women. Vetting women is only part of TRP while that's 90% of FDS.

But, our standards are our standards. Why choose an annoying, average, and poor character man when you can just be alone? I have no problem with either, as long as their recommendations remain individual, and confined to the personal, private sphere. People have been using all kinds of “pills” to relate to the opposite sex, before the term “pill” came into usage regarding gender relations. The bestselling book “The Rules” from the 90’s is a good example.

It’s when philosophy’s start to spill over into the public, political and legal sphere, such as impugning women’s right to vote, that things get out of hand.

I don't understand your point about comparing them - because both of them are pretty crappy subreddits and is possible to think they're both stupid.

I stopped going to the RedPill sub because it was too much hatred of women and lots of assumptions about women's behavior. I remember that they would take some post from some relationship sub, and then create a while fictional narrative about how the woman in the story was cheating (because no woman considers leaving a relationship unless she already has a guy in the wings - aka branch swinging) and the whole thing just looked like people were making up fictional stories too justify hating women. Or they'd trot out some fake stats about how something like 20% or 30% of children were the result of women cheating on their husbands.

The FDS plays similar games. Like the recent post: "All men are predators and misogynists until proven otherwise. Period."

I'm sure someone will try to dress-up all of this as "just keeping people safe" but there's plenty of ways to "keep people safe" which actually come with negative effects that result in overall harm to themselves. For example, I could tell people that the outside world is full of danger (guns and cars and germs!), they should stay inside all the time. And that would protect them on some level, but also ruin their life in lots of other ways.

The first time I was on FDS, I thought it was satirical. All one big joke. It was laughable to me to find out these women actually believed this shit. Here’s the difference: if you see Hypergamy as a chosen female characteristic, the hate might come from that point of view. No one likes to be seen as an object and have their worth as a human being and partner based on their bank account. The fundamental problem with FDS is that they have no answer to the following question: If you manage to find a HVM, why should he pick you?

Note that TRP is almost entirely focused on the answer to this question. "What do women find attractive?" Whatever it is that women find attractive, that's what we try to be. If they like confidence, we develop confidence. If they like career success, we build our careers. If they like physical fitness, we hit the gym.

A woman should pick me because I'm attractive - because I made myself attractive to her.

FDS takes for granted that when they find a HVM, they'll be able to keep him. Hilariously, when he doesn't pick them, they retcon that he wasn't really an HVM after all.

Ultimately FDS fails because it vets as an end to itself.

If a man is tall, handsome, supportive, intelligent, but she splits the bills, he is a LVM and she is a pickme for splitting.

If a man wants to get married and goes for sex on date 3, he is a LVM and she is a pickme for having sex.

FDS defines HV as checking these boxes and ignores the traits that the box-checking was meant to confirm. So a man goes for sex on date 3 and he is a fuccboi despite wanting to get married. FDS would condemn the woman for sleeping with him even if she uses other evidence (including taking his views on marriage in good faith instead of assuming it's a lie to get sex) to determine that he is serious.

I’m a woman and not a strict follower of FDS. I love that woman are waking up and realizing that they are being taken advantage of or getting less than they deserve. The byproduct of that is usually higher standards for themselves, getting better boundaries, and learning from their mistakes.

IMO, a girlfriend shouldn’t be cooking and cleaning and taking care of her boyfriend. That’s damaging to her AND him. Treating him like a child is not going to turn out well.

A woman shouldn’t pay for a man or give him money, that’s just handicapping and devaluing his natural masculinity.

Both have some cringe but the biggest difference is that TRP is very heavy on self improvement and bettering yourself we’re FDS kind of ignores self-improvement and acts like they’re perfect the way they are and that they all deserve an amazing man that goes above and beyond for them. The reality is that all women do not deserve a top 5% man and all men don’t deserve a top 20% woman. You have to build yourself up to that level if that’s what you expect and that is the portion that FDS is missing. From the bit that I have read. TRP and FDS recognize the same framework, just work for different parties’ benefit in it.

If the framework itself wasn’t horseshit (which I firmly believe it is) the only adequate reaction for a man would be MGTOW. Make money along the way and spend some on hookers every now and then.

Ex redpilled man here. Life got so much better when I ditched the idea that relationships are a zero sum game. The idea that both TRP and FDS have for a core axiom.

I do think theres a decent chunk of good in FDS, such as telling women not to settle for bad men. It does have its share of shit advice like make men pay and overemphasis on marriage, but what gets to me is the raw male hatred that is rampant over there.

I was looking through it the other day. It isn't necessarily bad, but the ones that stand out/get attention are the cooked women. The women with issues akin to TRP where the cooked men/men with issues will get attention.

The fact that FDSers refuse to look at themselves as the source of their dating problems ie being fat, bitchy and materialistic makes the sub a toxic one to go to. At least TRP still has a sense of self-reflection ie telling men to looksmax instead of just devising all sorts of manipulative strategies to somehow make women overlook ugliness and creepy behavior.

If FDS is fine if you are fine with:

misandry (basic view is that men are inferior to the extreme of wishing general killing of males)
misogyny (yes - the term "pickme" is exemplary; extreme bullying and degradation of females who don't align)
cult like mechanism (promise of salvation and community, shame and bullying into obedience to a tight set of rules)
delusions leading to distorted view on masculinity and feminity, as well as the acceptance of blatant internal contradictions leading to a severe impairment of meta cognition. Ofc all of those were present before FDS, but FDS amplifies and consolidates these negative attributes.
All of this leading to a immature, hateful, lonely, potentially violent, but more than anything else mentally ill personality hurting at most FDS memebers themselves.

The only positive thing about FDS is that they are against the abuse of women by men. However even this resonable perspective is integrated into the toxic mess that is FDS-Ideology.

FDS and TRP are comparable in a common negative way. All red pill "communities" share an absolute confidence in delusions caused by oversimplifications, generalizations and most of the time negative experienced fueled resentment as a starting point.

An elementary description of any "redpill" ideology:

Acknowledgment of a set of (partially) real social issues, which are (percieved to be) ignored by main stream discource.
Overstating such a set of issues, while making this as basis for a one-sided, overly simplistic characterization of society as a whole (and potentially deriving a set of rules on how to act because of it).
Selling the ideology as taboo, secret and those believing in it as enlighted - basic traits of cults and sects.
All of this leading to high degree of arrogance, isolation and mental distress.

expecting men to pay for dates is incredibly outdated and america centric. going on lavish expensive dates would make most finnish women uncomfortable, they'd rather do something with a low threshold of engagement like a few beers in a bar or meeting for a cup of coffee.

their biggest problems however are trans- and biphobia plus general sex negativity.

The only point I agree with them on is porn consumption. Other than that, they're overtly perpetuating misandry. There's a lot of femcel garbage that I only see in gay radfem circles on tumblr. Here is the difference. TRP will still welcome womens opinions. I tried making a comment in FDS and they banned me for life. I wasn’t even offensive. I just said it made me feel sad so many women felt this way about all men, and not all of us were bad.

I highly agree. Misandry is on the table there but what can be said about men? I think that we shoudnt generalize the whole sub because of some bad apples. Thats cherry picking. The same goes for trp specially when there is something called 'the rejection phase?'. I think trp is right way to succeed as a man. Same can be said about fds. Take the pessimism out and you will see that people have much more lower standards that what the pills and the fds sub demands.
