I'm not sure that it's unethical to look for these photos. Using them would be unethical as well as the fact of posting these nudes without their consent. Otherwise it's as unethical as checking one's social medias or googling one's phone number - you're looking for information available publically.

How sure are you that this AI algorithm is able to detect faces with 100% accuracy? At this stage most AI is only able to detect faces with similar features, especially ones free to the public.

I’ve never posted nudes in my life but I’m also pretty sure that if someone ran a photo of me through one of AI apps/algorithms you mentioned that some woman’s nudes will show up of a woman that looks pretty similar to me.

I’m slim, white, blonde and am probably a popular porn category. Also to put it bluntly, I am pretty basic looking, I see at least 50 women that look just like me on my commute to work.

If a statistic sounds off then it probably is. 25% sounds just way too high, maybe I’d believe that 1/4 women have sent nudes to a guy they liked. But the idea that 25% of women have nudes publicly available on the internet? Only 0.6% of all women in the US post content on onlyfans. Nah I don’t buy it.

It is your decision to not date a sex worker but subjecting countless women to your invasive search is not a positive thing and illegal at worst. How do you know she posted them? There’s dozens of ask and advice posts every week from women who have had their nudes stolen or posted without their consent, and they’re just the ones who are users of Reddit. If you find them online and look at them, you’re participating in revenge porn.

How do you know they aren’t deepfakes? Plenty of issues with that lately.

I am divided on this. One the one hand, if there was a way of filtering out men who used porn/had an account on OnlyFans or visited prostitutes, I’d absolutely use it. The problem with what you’re doing is you’re very likely looking at least at some revenge porn, and regardless, if you haven’t been given consent to view those images, it’s pretty icky for a woman to know you’ve likely viewed a ton of porn, including possibly illegal stuff, just to ‘avoid dating a porn creator’.

I get the intent and I understand why you’re doing it, but the delivery falls short of being ethical and if you want to meet a woman who is ethical, being shady yourself is not a great start.

It’s an age-old issue that most women who don’t want to date porn users have to find out the hard way - when he slips up. Asking men directly if they use porn often leads to lies, so that’s not always a good option. Instead, I use a myriad of questions and look for opportunities to start a conversation about it in the first few months. Maybe you should try that too.

In the past what’s worked for me is asking ‘what kind of porn do you watch?’ The answer I’m Looking for is ‘I don’t watch any’ and any other response leads to me ending it. More recently, I prefer circumstantial discussions - eg guy I’m dating is going to a wedding interstate, one of the other guys going makes a ‘joke’ about strippers. Later I asked him if he was planning to participate in a buck’s with strippers and he said he wasn’t. I told him that’s great, because if he ever did anything like that, including strippers, prostitutes, topless or Hooters type clubs, and I’d end the relationship, no further discussion.

Another example is watching a guy search up someone I told him about on Instagram and seeing his search page full of thirst traps and saying ’You know Instagram’s algorithm gives you more of what you search for. If you’re looking at bikini and lingerie pics on social media, I have to assume you see women as objects, and I don’t want to be with a man who does.’

Another is a guy who loaned a device to a friend of his and got it back with a search history chock full of disgusting porn. Thing is, he loaned it straight to me afterwards and I asked him point blank about it. He was clueless as to where it came from until he remembered his friend had been using it. I checked how far back the porn searches were and it matched up with the timeline. I said I’d accept his version of events, but that porn was a hard boundary of mine and that maybe he needed to set better boundaries with his friends. I said if I ever saw it on any of his devices again, I’d have no hesitation to end it and walk immediately, and that I’d done it before. The sunk cost fallacy is a thief of dignity and I won’t waste a minute more of my time with a man who doesn’t respect my boundaries.

Maybe you need to come up with some conversation starters to get the ball rolling so you can find this sort of stuff out. Trying to screen it before you even start talking sounds like a recipe for disappointment.

I think there's two things here, are "get intimate info" tools ethical and is using those tools on complete strangers on OLD "ick" behavior. And in my experience... you always need to flip the genders in these sorts of questions, certain guys quick to dismiss hurt women but will always flip if it hurts men.

For the tool - is it ethical if women build a repository of dick pics and use similar tools before even meeting someone? Users can look up someone's dick pics from their name and check out if they've sent dick pics, what size dick they have, what it looks like etc. the user can be anyone, an employer, a potential partner, an internet troll, etc. Is this an invasion of privacy?

For OP's behavior - is it creepy and weird if a woman on OLD (before even meeting you) tried to find out what you looked like naked and messaged your exes for intimate details on your dick size, kinks, and sex life? what if she used a bot to automate this, would that be obsessive or creepy?

Only fans says 70% of creators are women, so that's 0.98 million women, or 0.6% even if all of them are American.

If the image search flags a bunch of cam sites or porn sites there's a good chance the search is accurate. It's possible she was revenge porned but even knowing that it happened is vital before a relationship starts.

If you discovered she was a pornstar or cam girl years into a relationship and she never told you then that's a huge red flag.

There was a girl I once dated who hid her past from me and I'm very glad that the relationship never progressed even though she broke up with me.

He ended up in small claims court with Bumble and won the case. The popular perception of this tool appears to be pretty negative. Please be careful!

On the dating apps, what I would really want is a BMI filter, that would be 10x. More specifically, I want to filter based on these dimensions:

BMI
average response time (<=24h)
response % (if you don't respond to people I won't waste my time)
amount of time on the app (anyone who's been on the apps >6mo is likely a lemon)
atheists only (I guess non-religious or agnostic is ok too)
you must live in Manhattan (or at least not NJ, the nearby boroughs are okay)

That would make the apps 100x more useful, but they won't add these features because that would actually help people find relationships and get off the apps.

Personally I don't think what you're doing is wrong though. I understand where you're coming from for doing this, and no one should tell you otherwise it is wrong. You have a preference in the kind of woman you wanna date and take seriously, and I believe we all do. I might also not be keen on taking a woman seriously if I found out she shared nudes online or to other men, but still depends like if the pictures were leaked by an ex, or her phone got stolen or got hacked and the pictures found their way into the internet. Yeah, uh, I don’t feel that’s totally fair. I have a friend who once was coerced by an older man into sending her nudes when she was a minor, and when she started to back off the moment she realized she was being taken advantage of he ended up leaking her nudes. He has been punished since, but looking up whether someone has ever posted nudes or not doesn’t really give a clear picture into the context, and I can promise an ai engine won’t reveal that context. They could’ve been leaked for example or they could’ve been going through a tough time in their life.
