I know a lot of men think that having a high body count will raise their status or something, but I honestly think it only raises their status amongst other men who also believe that.

I can't imagine why I would want to have sex with a man who doesn't care about the women he has sex with? Everyone has a past, but what appeal is there in a man who considers sex partners disposable? I'm confused as to how "low self-esteem" and "hot guys" combine. In my limited experience, hot guys were much less likely to have low self-esteem than beautiful girls were.

When I was dating, I would probably have looked down on a guy who slept with "anything" as someone with extremely poor self-control. I appreciated someone who had some self-confidence, developed himself and his interests outside of sex, and just generally didn't act like sex was the only thing in life.

Is this a question only for people who had casual sex, or women in general?

It's a huge turn off. I really didn't think men were like that until I started hanging out with more guys irl. The way some of them speak about women is horrifying. I thought a lot of the grossness of men was just relegated to men who spend too much time on the internet, but it's not true.

And if a man tries to sleep with me too soon I am immediately disgusted and want nothing to do with him. Because how can he care about me as a person? He can't. But he'd still be willing to fuck me? The thought of a man like that's hands touching me makes me shiver with disdain.

It's a mix of being disgusted, concerned, perplexed and finding it a bit hilarious. But mostly I don't think about it much, as being married means that you don't really participate in dating market anymore. And as the other user has pointed it out, it makes male attention very cheap and most often than not completely unwanted.

When I was single, I wasn't worried about being "settled for", as no one settles when they're 16. "Smoking hot guys" who are willing to sleep with whoever is available at the moment make me feel grateful for being a woman and not being led by my libido in the same way as some men are. And no, I don't feel guilty. Men's higher libido and lower self-esteem aren't really my fault.

I agree that men is willing to have sex at a much lower threshold than women (but not exactly anything). This is a reality I can't change, so I adapt to it accordingly.

I take men's declarations of love and attraction lighter than what it would be if a woman said it.
I know that I need to set the pace of how fast I want sex to happen. Basically I follow my own feelings of when I want to have sex over how much the guy want to have sex.
When trying to get into a relationship, I don't lead with sexuality or really try to appeal to men sexually. Because I want the foundation of the relationship to be about something else. A guy might still be attracted to me sexually, but that should not be the primary reason he would want to be my BF.

That's all I can think of right now.

This question is very similar to the first one, no? Most people who settle do that out of low self-esteem and/or desperation. Again, kind of a fear of mine, but then again, many guys I was into usually didn't have low self-esteem, nor were they desperate to get others interested in them as well. But sometimes, yes, there have been instances in early dating stages in which I thought I was more enthusiastic about dating them and in hindsight, they were more like "well I know she is interested in me so that's a plus", rather than being genuinely interersted in me (and it never developed further for obvious reasons). That sucks for sure, but then again, I did the same mistakes as well in my earlier years (trying to date people I wasn't super attracted to because I appreciated them being interested in me) and this is a bit of la "c'est la vie" in dating. It's very messy, very often. In fact, it's a wonder people get together at all, if you think of it.
